  • The method of least squares is an adequate method of adjustment in various fields of engineering where redundant observations are necessary to obtain accurate values. The Consideration of weight of each Observation can improve the accuracy if the reliabilities of observations vary. The strip coordinates were weighted as inversely proportionate to the rotations $\kappa, \varphi, \omega$ which occur in the computation of model coordinates. The resulting errors in absolute coordinates were compared with the errors unweighted case to investigate the influence of orientation elements on absolute coordinates.

  • 본 논문은 저압 배전선로의 전압 조정을 위해 상태관측기와 반복제어기를 적용한 무효전력 제어 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 시뮬레이션 및 실험으로 이를 검증하였다. 무효전력 보상기는 단상 풀 브리지 인버터 구조이며 전압제어 시 DC 전압을 일정하게 유지하기 위한 전압 제어와 전류 제어기로 구성된다. DC 리플 보상방식은 상태관측기로 만들어낸 출력 값, DC 링크 리플 성분을 보상한 값을 전압제어기 피드백 성분으로 사용하여 전압을 일정하게 제어하였다. 무효전력을 안정하게 주입하기 위해 기본파 성분은 PI제어기로 제어하고 반복제어기를 PI제어기와 병렬로 연결하여 저차 고조파를 보상하였다. 반복 제어기는 동기 좌표계에서 구현됨에 따라 홀수파 고조파 성분을 제거하는 역할을 한다. 제안한 제어기법은 5kVar 단상 인버터 시스템으로 실험을 진행하였으며, 상태관측기와 반복제어기가 적용된 경우 THD가 9%에서 2%로 향상됨을 확인함으로써 제안한 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하였다.

Fast Sequential Bundle Adjustment Algorithm for Real-time High-Precision Image Georeferencing (실시간 고정밀 영상 지오레퍼런싱을 위한 고속 연속 번들 조정 알고리즘)

  • Real-time high-precision image georeferencing is important for the realization of image based precise navigation or sophisticated augmented reality. In general, high-precision image georeferencing can be achieved using the conventional simultaneous bundle adjustment algorithm, which can be performed only as post-processing due to its processing time. The recently proposed sequential bundle adjustment algorithm can rapidly produce the results of the similar accuracy and thus opens a possibility of real-time processing. However, since the processing time still increases linearly according to the number of images, if the number of images are too large, its real-time processing is not guaranteed. Based on this algorithm, we propose a modified fast algorithm, the processing time of which is maintained within a limit regardless of the number of images. Since the proposed algorithm considers only the existing images of high correlation with the newly acquired image, it can not only maintain the processing time but also produce accurate results. We applied the proposed algorithm to the images acquired with 1Hz. It is found that the processing time is about 0.02 seconds at the acquisition time of each image in average and the accuracy is about ${\pm}5$ cm on the ground point coordinates in comparison with the results of the conventional simultaneous bundle adjustment algorithm. If this algorithm is converged with a fast image matching algorithm of high reliability, it enables high precision real-time georeferencing of the moving images acquired from a smartphone or UAV by complementing the performance of position and attitude sensors mounted together.

A Simulation of 3-D Navigation System of the Helicopter based on TRN Using Matlab

  • This study has been carried for the development of the basic algorithm of helicopter navigation system based on TRN (Terrain Referenced Navigation) with information input from the GPS. The helicopter determines flight path due to Origination-Destination analysis on the Cartesian coordinate system of 3-D DTM. This system shows 3-D mesh map and the O-D flight path profile for the pilot's acknowledgement of the terrain, at first. The system builds TCF (terrain clearance floor) far the buffer zone upon the surface of ground relief to avid the ground collision. If the helicopter enters to the buffer zone during navigation, the real-time warning message which commands to raise the body pops up using Matlab menu. While departing or landing, control of the height of the body is possible. At present, the information (x, y, z coordinates) from the GPS is assumed to be input into the system every 92.8 m of horizontal distance while navigating along flight path. DTM of 3" interval has been adopted from that which was provided by ChumSungDae Co., Ltd..

  • In this study a method of shape optimization is applied to two dimensional heat transfer system. For this the optimization problem is defined in a functional form including cost, constraints and the system governing equation. Then the material derivative concept in continuum mechanics and the adjoint variable method are employed for the shape design sensitivity analysis. With the sensitivity analysis results, an optimum is sought with the gradient projection optimization algorithm. The two dimensional isoparametric finite elements are used for accurate analysis and sensitivity calculations. The above method is employed to find the boundary shape to achieve a desired temperature distribution along a segment of the boundary subject to the maximum area constraint.

  • Topographic mapping from economic SPOT stereo imagery than aerial photographs has become possible. Many of authors have studied the possibility of base map revisions and the accuracy of results. They have concluded that the SPOT image is suitable for 1/50,000 to 1/100,000 topographic map. For topographic map, orthophoto and DTM generation from SPOT imagery, accurate exterior orientation parameters are needed. But since the geometric characteristic of SPOT image is dynamic linear array imagery, the conventional bundle adjustment for photogrammetry can not be directly applied. Reliability is the ability to detect gross error, which is called the internal reliability, and the effect of non-detectable gross error on the results of exterior orientation, which is called the external reliability. This paper shows how the reliability of SPOT imagery depends on the different coordinate systems, presentations of coordinate for flight direction, orders of exterior orientation parameters and distribution of control points, and thus analyses the theoretical reliability of the exterior orientation, which can provide a basis for the planning of SPOT projects.

The Digital Model Generation for the Human Body Measurement (인체 계측을 위한 수치모형생성)

  • The size and shape of the human body has been an important factor not only in anthropology but in integration of designs aimed for daily use. Although the three-dimensional measurements have been proposed and obtained introducing new methods, there still remains many problems concerning how to analyze and evaluate the results. In this study, we have got the internal and external orientation factors, image coordinates from the ac-quired photographs, have calaulated the object coordinates through Bundle Adjustment, have matched multi-images. have drawn the object in the computer, and smoothly handled the surface of the body model using the Au-to-CAD system or graphic processing utility then we could generate the digital model of human body. The. results show that once digital modeling of the body is generated. the information which a designer needs can be acquired and the adequate calculations for many application fields can be done easily and many geometrical properties could be extracted. Therefore we propose the possibility of indirect human body measurement through digital model generation.

Generation of Epipolar Image Using Different Types of Satellite Sensors Images (이종 위성센서 영상을 이용한 에피폴라 영상 제작)

  • In this study, the epipolar images were created by both methods of resolution adjustment and piecewise approach using RPC(Rational Polynomial coefficients) and ancillary data of IKONOS-2 and SPOT-5 satellite images whose resolutions are different from each other. The stereo geometry of these two satellite images was analyzed and the RPC block modelling was accomplished for generating epipolar images. In order to evaluate the accuracy of created epipolar images, the y-parallaxes were analyzed for the specific points which were apparently identified in mountainous, plain and urban area. Also the RMSEs of the specific points were calculated using the coordinates from the epipolar stereo images and the coordinates from the block triangulation. Y-parallaxes were within one pixel and the RMSEs were within two meters for X, Y and Z each.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for object generation from model-based 3-dimensional multi-viewpoint images using OpenGL rendering. In the first step, we preprocess a depth map image in order to get a three-dimensional coordinate which is sampled as a vertex information on OpenGL and has a z-value as depth information. Next, the Delaunay Triangulation algorithm is used to construct a polygon for texture-mapping using the vertex information. Finally, by mapping a texture image on the constructed polygon, we generate a viewpoint-adaptive object by calculating 3-dimensional coordinates on OpenGL.

Geometric Calibration and Accuracy Evaluation of Smartphone Camera (스마트폰 카메라의 기하학적 검정과 정확도 평가)

  • The smartphones which have been recently are embedded with high resolution quality camera, assisted GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and various sensors including magnetometer sensor that could be directly used for measurement. This study aims to suggest the possible application of smartphone camera providing high resolution images in terms of photogrammetry by calibrating it and assessing its accuracy. First of all, prior to the accuracy assessment of smartphone camera, camera calibration was conducted to correct lens distortion of each camera and the accuracy of image coordinates and object coordinates calculated by bundle adjustment during this procedure was analyzed. Also regarding three-dimensional positioning, result analysis depending on considering lens distortion coefficients was conducted, and finally relative accuracy of smartphone camera on metric camera was assessed. The result showed that in terms of distortion correction of smartphone camera, also higher order symmetric radial lens distortion coefficients should be considered, and three dimensional position determined by smartphone images was a little difference from that by metric camera. Therefore it is expected that smartphone images have huge possibility to be used for photogrammetry.
