Design of the inverter circuits for driving a piezoelectric transformer (압전 변압기 구동을 위한 인버터 회로설계)

  • 액정 디스플레이의 백라이트에 사용되는 냉음극 방전램프(CCFL: Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) 구동 인버터의 설계함에 있어 압전 변압기(Piezoelectric Transformer)를 사용하였으며, 파라미터 선정 및 최적화를 하여 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 적용한 압전 인버터로는 푸시-풀(Push-pull)과 하프-브리지(Half-bridge) 회로이며, 휘도 제어기법으로는 아날로그(Analog)와 버스트(Burst) 방법을 사용하였다. 푸시-풀 인버터의 경우 아날로그 제어방식으로 제어전압 2.5-4.5V에서 출력전류 1-6mA(최소)로 휘도 0-100$\%$ 특성을 보였다. 입출력 효율로 18.6(최소)-90.3(최대)$\%$를 얻었으며, 버스트 제어방식에서는 듀티비 50-5$\%$에서 1-6mA의 제어 성능을 보였다. 인버터의 입출력 효율은 13.6(최소)-82.1(최대)$\%$를 얻었다.

Deposition Optimization and Bonding Strength of AuSn Solder Film (AuSn 솔더 박막의 스퍼터 증착 최적화와 접합강도에 관한 연구)

  • Au-Sn solder alloy were deposited in multilayer and co-sputtered film by rf-magnetron sputter and the composition control and analysis were studied. For the alloy deposition condition, each components of Au or Sn were deposited separately. On the basis of pure Sn and Au deposition, the deposition condition for Au-Sn solder alloy were set up. As variables, the substrate temperature, the rf-power, and the thickness ratio were used for the optimum composition. For multilayer solder alloy, the roughness and the composition of solder alloy were controlled more accurately at the higher substrate temperature. In contrast, for co-sputtered solder, the substrate temperature influenced little to the composition, but the composition could be controlled easily by rf-power. In addition, the co-sputtered solder film mostly consisted of intermetallic compound, which formed during deposition. The compound were confirmed by XRD. Without flux during bonding of solder alloy film on leadframe, the adhesion strength were measured. The maximum shear stress was $330(N/mm^2)$ for multilayer solder with Au 10wt% and $460(N/mm^2)$ for co-sputtered solder with Au 5wt%.

  • This paper presents the driving and bouncing control of a robotic vehicle for entertainment and transportation. The robotic vehicle is aimed to carry two passengers with a balancing mechanism by two wheels. To maximize the entertaining purpose, not only the balancing control performance but the bouncing control performance is implemented. Passengers can select different driving modes such as regular driving mode, balancing mode, and bouncing mode. Experimental studies of the balancing control performance as well as the bouncing control performance are conducted to see the feasibility as an entertainment robotic vehicle.

  • This Paper Proposes new speed and electromagnetic torque control of an induction motor, which is robust against time varying parameters. The control is based on adaptive vector control with serial block adaptive algorithm. Motor parameters used to estimates slip frequency and electromagnetic torque. Parameters mismatch in the control system detrimentally affects slip frequency estimation and torque response. In order to compensate lot degradation of the responses, an adaptive identifier for the magnetizing inductance and the secondary time constant is introduced. adaptive vector control system consisted of two subsystems, a vector control system realized on synchronous frame and a parameter identification system on stationary frame. the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by some digital simulations.

  • The PEM(Personal Environment Module) system is an individual air conditioning system developed in order to improve thermal comfort in office buildings. In this study, thermal characteristics of a PEM system have measured experimentally and compared with UFAC(Under Floor hir Conditioning) system in the EC(Environment Chamber) constructed in KIER. Results showed that the PEM system was better than UFAC system for thermal comfort and energy conservation.

  • In this paper, we propose a neural network with fuzzy preprocessor not only for improving the classification accuracy but also for being able to classify objects whose attribute values do not have clear boundaries. The fuzzy input signal representation scheme is included as a preprocessing module. It transforms imprecise input in linguistic form and precisely stated numerical input into multidimensional numerical values. The transformed input is processed in the postprocessing module. The experimental results indicate the superiority of the backpropagation network with fuzzy preprocessor in comparison to the conventional backpropagation network.
