In this research, I explored how to apply the history of mathematics in teacher education and investigated the applicability of Chosun Sanhak (mathematics of Chosun Dynasty) as the program that enriched the mathematical knowledge for teaching of prospective elementary school teachers. This program included not only mathematical knowledge but also socio-cultural knowledge and connection knowledge. Prospective teachers participated in various mathematical activities such as explaining, reasoning and problem solving in this program. The effects of this program are as follows. Prospective teachers learned the subject matter knowledge(SMK) which was helpful in teaching basic concepts and skills of elementary mathematics. Next, this program produced the pedagogical content knowledge(PCK) to prospective teachers by giving ideas how to teach.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of pi of Chosun-sanhak and organize the teaching and learning activities to help to understand the concept of pi deeply using the analysis results. The results of this study are as follows. First, Chosun-sanhak used various approximate values of pi and those were represented as the form to reveal the meaning of the ratio of radius and circumference. Second, There were the freedom of selection of the approximate values of pi suitably. Lastly, the enriched leaning about pi need to draw a distinction pi from approximate values of pi, choose the suitable approximate values of pi and compare the method of calculation of circumference and the area of circle of Chosun-sanhak and today's mathematics. In conclusion, I proposed several issues which is worth exploring further in relation to pi and Chosun-Sanhak.

최근 지방 도시들이 지역의 전통 문화와 문화재 그리고 이들과 연관된 지역 문화축제에 관심을 기울이면서 조선시대 각 읍치에 설치되었던 관영시설(官營施設)들을 복원 정비하고 있다. 지방 관영시설의 복원 정비후 대두되는 중요한 과제는 무엇보다 그의 활용 문제라 할 수 있는데, 이와 관련하여 과거 읍치의 관영시설에서 행해졌던 행례의 재현이 자주 거론되고 있다. 그러나 증폭된 관심과 현실적 요구에 비하여 관련분야의 연구는 극히 미약한 실정이다. 이는 무엇보다 관련 자료가 매우 적고 제한적이란 점에 기인한 것으로 관련 자료의 발굴 검토가 중요한 선결 과제로 대두되고 있다. 본고는 이러한 점에 중점을 두고 조선시대 지방관이 작성한 일기류(日記類)를 발굴하여 그 내용을 조사 검토하였으며, 검토된 일기류를 토대로 지방 읍치시설의 이용과 관련된 내용을 살펴 향후 지방관 작성 일기류가 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.

The lacks of reference have been a major difficulty of the studies on official facilities of local cities in Joseon Dynasty especially for the restoration and utilization of those. In this regard the diaries which were wrote by local governors can be good data. Total 56 kinds of diaries was collected through the result of careful study and research. Such diaries were classified by their characters and were investigated to find out the practical use aspects of official facilities of local cities. Lastly the advantages and inherent limits of investigation of diaries were described.

This study analyzed the perception of prospective elementary school teachers in relation to using the history of Korean mathematics. The results of this study showed that the pre-service teachers realized using the history of Korean mathematics more importantly than the history of mathematics. They thought that the contents of the history of Korean mathematics should be increased in mathematics education and pre-service teacher education. The participation experience in teacher education about the history of Korean mathematics had a positive effect on the perception of pre-service teachers. Finally, this paper asserted that teacher education is the key to the teacher perception on and using of the history of Korean mathematics.

본 논문에서는 산업과 생산 활동에 급격히 오염된 토양오염을 중심으로 현재의 토양환경과 조선시대의 토양환경을 비교하고 학습할 수 있는 콘텐츠를 구현하였으며 조선시대의 자연환경을 가상현실로 구현하여 환경교육 학습 자료로 활용하기 위한 토양기반의 환경교육 가상체험 콘텐츠를 구현하였다.

Gu-il-jip is a mathematical book of Chosun dynasty in the 18c. It consists of nine chapters including more than 473 problems and their solutions. Analyzing the problems and their solutions, we can appreciate the mathematical researches by the professional mathematicians of Chosun. Especially, it is worth noting the followings: - units for measuring and decimal notations - $\pi$, area of circle, volume of sphere - naming the powers - counting rods - excess and deficit: calculation technique for excess-deficit relations among quantities - rectangular arrays: calculation technique for simultaneous linear equations - 'Thien Yuan' notation: method for representing equations - 'Khai Fang': algorithm for numerical solution of quadratic, cubic and higher equations Based on these analyses, some pedagogical applications are proposed.
