  • In this study, revelation performance of concrete at early age according to types of cement, water reducing ratio of high performance superplasticizer and mixing of accelerator for early hydration was examined aiming for reduction of construction period of framework through securing strength at early age of concrete. It was observed that strength at early age, 5MPa in 12hours, 14MPa in 18hours, is secured by early strength improvement type cement and using promotion admixture for early hydration which are Sodium persulfate, Potassium hydroxide. Therefore cost reduction is expected to be possible in construction site by reducing construction period of frame work.

  • There is the increasing number of constructing soil or structure on the soft ground during public works. Usually cement or slag cement has been the traditional material for surface soil stabilization method. Recently, early strength development properties of hardening agent is required for driving abilities of execution equipment and shortening of the construction time. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop the early compressive strength hardening agent for surface soil stabilization. • This paper is about a research of steam curing which is one of the curing methods for accelerating the early-age strength of pre-cast concrete. With cylinder mold and mock-up specimen, the research was executed to study the best cycle of steam curing temperature through quantifying cycle of steam curing and maximum temperature, while the required strength is developed under the early-age. Moreover, causes and measurements for the high temperature of concrete, which is due to the steam curing, and the crack, which occurs when removing steel form, are stated. Ultimately, the economical method of producing, which satisfies early-age strength development and quality assurance while manufacturing PC structure, is stated.

  • In this study utilize industry product for OPC(ordinary portland cement) and BFS(blast furnace slag) mixing concrete early age compressive strength elevation and executed study for high strength binder. Association ratio of industry product for high strength binder manufacture is Titanogypsum (4) : Limestone (3) : Waterworks Sludge by ratio of (3) as it is proper move. high strength binder mixing rate appeared that (7~9) % are proper via preliminary test. Could confirm that display high compressive strength incidence rate in early age than plain harmony according as mix high strength binder mixing concrete compressive strength high strength binder. Also, high strength binder generality that give function than high strength binder used in existing displayed more excellent intensity, and compressive strength displayed result that multiply single breadth according as high strength binder substitute that give function increases.

  • Recently early strength concrete has been required for economical assurance and the prevention of frost damage in winter through air reduction in construction of concrete structures. This study presented the optimum condition revealing compressive strength 5MPa which has the possibility of removal of form in 24 hours, and researched the changes of unit weight of cement types of high early strength AE water reducing agents, characteristic of compressive strength expression as cure temperature conditions and slump or airspace. Test results showed at $15^{\circ}C$ with compressive strength of 5MPa that premature removal of form was possible in case of using highly early strength PC water reducing agent with unit weight of cement 360 ; 22hours faster than 10, unit weight 360 ; 20hours faster than 7, unit weight 390 ; 18 hours faster than 4 comparing with OP water reducing agent. And at $5^{\circ}C$ in case of using highly early strength PC water reducing agent with unit weight of cement 330 ; 32hours faster than 10, unit weight 360 ; 30hours faster than 7, unit weight390 ; 27hours faster than 4 comparing with OP water reducing agent. Therefore as the temperature rises $10^{\circ}C$, compressive strength of 5MPa reaching hour shortens 10 hours.

  • Recently, deflection of the slab during construction periods becoming one of the important issues because of increasing the large-span structures. Early removing the form and support of the slab to achieve the rapid construction cause falling-off in quality of the structures. To reduce these deterioration and make rapid construction, construction of strength and stiffness gain model is needed by the research about the early-age concrete properties. Previous research results indicated that concrete model in existing design codes could not provide the mechanical properties of early age concrete. This paper carried out the concrete compressive strength tests on the curing age at early age stage. Evaluation of the accuracy of compressive strength and modulus of elasticity gain formula in existing various design codes was performed based on this test results, and new design model was proposed. This new model will be useful to develop the new rapid construction methods or prevent the deterioration of the deflection at construction periods. Material tests were performed at 1, 3, 7, 14, 28 curing days, total 159 cylinder style specimens were tested. Based on analyzing the test results, the relationship between compressive strength and modulus of elasticity at early age was proposed.

  • In recent years, the early strength of concrete is important in order to shorten the time of form removal at the construction site. The purpose of this study is to analyze the moment of form removal as investigating the amount of cement contents and the physical properties and strength of the concrete according to types of admixture in the curing temperature of $10^{\circ}C$ for concrete of 21 to 27 MPa. As a result, it was found that compressive strength of concrete could not be secured 5 MPa by 36 hours even if the amount of cement contents were increased to $360kg/m^3$ with plain admixture. Also, it was confirmed that the strength improvement rate was excellent when using the accelerating agent with polycarboxylic acid type, and the moment of compressive strength of 5 MPa was estimated at 30 hours.

  • In this paper. applicability of high early strength type AE water reducing agent(HESAEWA) developed by the authors is discussed by applying Mock-up test. For fresh concrete properties, concrete using existing AE water reducing agent(EAEWRA) and HESAEW A meets the target slump and air content at jobsite. Setting time of concrete using HESAEWA is shorter than that using EAEWRA. Remarkable variance of bleeding and settlement is not observed with type of AE water reducing agent. For hardened concrete properties, use of HESAEW A results in higher strength development compared with that of EAEWRA at standard curing and in field curing condition. Reaching time to accomplish 5MPa of compressive strength. which is possible to remove side form. is taken using HESAEWA earlier than that of EAEWRA by 1day. Therefore, it is confirmed that use of HESAEWA can meet the requirements of general quality of concrete and achieve high early strength development as well as has a desirable field applicability.

  • In this study, to improve the early-age compressive strength of mortar, the compressive strength tests of mortar mixed smart BFS powder added powder of rapid setting additives milled by processing, using functional grinding aid, the power-typed rapid setting cement clinker developed by sintering industrial waste and by-products with much CaO-$SiO_2-Al_2O_3$ to cement were performed. From the tests, the followings are found that (1) for BFS early-age strength improvement test (Series I): early-age strength improvement of BFS mixed rapid setting additive milled after adding functional grinding aid, when the clinker is milled, is superior and (2) for OPC early-age strength improvement test (Series II): case of additive mixed rapid setting powder typed activator milled after adding functional grinding aid to Clinker-C showed the higher compressive strength.
