  • (사)한국파렛트컨테이너협회(회장 서병륜, 이하 KPCA)는 11월 10일 서울 중구 대한상공회의소 국제회의장에서 '제18회 한국파렛트컨테이너산업대상' 시상식을 개최했다. KPCA가 주최하고, KPCA와 대한상공회의소가 공동 주관하며, 산업통산자원부, 국토교통부, 국가표준기술원, 물류신문사 등이 후원한 이번 시상식은 '제8회 글로벌 유닛로드시스템 창의성 공모전', '유닛로드시스템 컨퍼런스'와 함께 열렸다. 이번 시상식은 지난해에 이어 무관객(행사 주최 및 발표자와 수상자만 참여) 방식으로 열렸다. 동시에 유튜브 실시간 방송을 진행해 온라인으로 생중계되었다. 한국파렛트컨테이너산업대상은 우리나라 산업물류의 혁신을 위해 표준파렛트와 표준컨테이너의 생산 및 사용에 있어 가장 모범이 되는 우수한 업체와 그러한 활동에 헌신한 개인 또는 단체를 발굴, 포상함으로써 유닛로드시스템의 보급 및 확산을 촉진해 우리나라 산업물류 효율화에 기여하고자 주는 상이다. 올해 시상식에서는 산업통산자원부장관 표창 3명, 국가기술표준원장 표창 3명, 한국파렛트컨테이너 협회장 표창 5명 등 총 11명이 수상의 영광을 안았다. 다음에 제18회 한국파렛트컨테이너산업대상 수상자들의 공적 내용을 살펴보도록 한다.

  • This study is focus on the relationship between the role of FTA and service trade performance enhancing strategy in Korea. and It is on the verification of the focus to the competitive promoting strategy of the logistics industry. finally proposition of the policy making to the government is proposed in the research. The invigoration of the service trade through FTA focus on the logistics industry is very combinative economy policy target with the side of government and the side of private enterprises both. added to this, this is the goal of impossible to achieve just with the development of logistics industry itself. it needs to construct the organic relationship, that is the implement and enforcement of the SCM through logistics industry network. Thus, on logistics, the 3rd party operating system implementation is top priority to gain international competitiveness. furthermore, the 4th party facilitation including consulting function and IT technology to pursue the maximum effectiveness logistics service providing.

  • The demand for biopharmaceuticals is on the rise spurred by the fourth industrial revolution and an aging society in Korea. Consequently, the scale of the biopharmaceutical industry is continuously increasing globally, thereby leading to an increase in the distribution of biopharmaceuticals. However, the relative inferiority of the domestic drug distribution structure, when compared to the advanced countries, and strict logistics regulations concerning the handling of biopharmaceuticals have raised the need for systematic management. Essentially, the significance of third-party logistics companies in the cold chain for pharmaceutical cold chain has increased with an intense management environment for pharmaceuticals. The purpose of this study is to investigate the selection factors of drug cold chain's third-party logistics companies and to examine the influence of selection factors on satisfaction. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate how cold chain third-party logistics factors affect the satisfaction of third-party logistics in cold chain. The results of analysis showed that expertise, facility, and linkage are factors affect customer satisfaction. The managerial capacity was derived not as an influential factor. These findings suggest that the future cold chain industry will be equipped to provide direction and strategic implications.

An Empirical Study on Corporate Logistics Characteristics, Logistics Management Type and Logistics Performance (기업의 물류특성과 물류관리유형의 적합성에 따른 물류성과에 관한 실증연구)

  • Nowadays, the third-party logistics is getting special attention as one of the most useful ways to perform the logistics management effectively. In this current trend, however, there are many firms which carry out the logistics activities by themselves and strengthen the competitiveness. In respect of contingency theory, the firms' logistics management types should depend on their logistics environment and characteristics, and then the logistics performances vary with this suitability. In this context, this study analyzed empirically the difference of the logistics performances due to the fitness between their logistics characteristics and the management types. According to the finding, the study showed that the third-party logistics is more suitable when the importance and weight of logistics operation and the weight of their export are greater respectively, and the self-logistics is more suitable when the logistics cost is higher. Futhermore, the study indicated that the firms whose relationship between the characteristics and the management types is fit in their logistics are better than the others in the outcome of logistics cost reduction and the effectiveness of logistics operation.

  • 공급사슬의 구조가 복잡해지고 고객의 수요가 다양해지면서 공급사슬에서의 물류기능은 점점 중요시되고 있다. 지금까지의 생산자는 전체 물류의 60% 이상을 제 3자 물류 업체를 통하여 수행하였다. 택배 시스템은 자신의 서비스 능력과 상호보완관계에 있는 여타 서비스 제공업체와 연계하여 공급사슬 효율화를 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 체계가 필요한데 공급사슬 전체에 대한 물류서비스를 여러 업체로부터 개별적으로 외부 위탁하는 경우보다 한 번의 계약으로 통합된 물류서비스를 제공받기를 원하는 경우가 많아지고 있다. 이에 협력택배시스템의 추진이 필요하고 있다. 타사에의 정보 누출을 꺼려 아직은 인식이 부족한 상황이나 보다 효율적이고 저렴한 물류비용을 위해서는 앞으로 제조업과의 다 자간 전략적 제휴는 필수적인 상황으로 전개될 것이다. 이에 현 3PL의 문제점을 살펴보고 제조업과의 협력 방안을 살펴보기로 하겠다.

Factors Affecting the Choice of International Freight Forwarders for Korean Shippers (국내 화주의 국제물류주선기업 선정요인)

  • A freight forwarder plays an important role in global trade and logistics by connecting worldwide nodes such as shippers, ports, and airports. Most freight forwarders in Korea are small and do not provide a sophisticated and professional service. This study aims to develop a strategy for Korean freight forwarders to the world-class 3PLs which they have to establish the strategy on how shippers select their freight forwarders. We conducted a higher-order factor analysis using the PLS-SEM techniques on the SmartPLS program to confirm the importance and significance of each factor, while considering relevant previous research. The findings suggested that shippers chose their freight forwarders for international logistics activities primarily by the reliability and forwarder service factors. Therefore, freight forwarders in Korea have to strengthen confidence and widen their service to shippers in order to become leading logistics companies.

A study on the current status and ways of activating 3PL (제3자물류의 실태분석 및 활성화 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Despite the importance and necessity, the 3PL has not been activated to date. Among many views, customers claim that logistics service provider(LSP) are not prepared or capable of offering satisfactory 3PL services, while LSP emphasize the lack of mutual trust, closed corporate culture of the customer and excessive demand for reducing the costs. With this keeping in mind, it surveyed difference of perception between users and providers of 3PL services in terms of the actual status of using 3PL services, the degree of satisfaction and key factors for selecting 3PL provider through the questionnaire. As shown in this study, 43.3% of the respondents outsourced logistics services. However, Most company outsourced only inland transportation (49.5%) which is a simple and limited scope of 3PL services, but it also indicated that the percentage of users have ranged was less then 10% in outsourcing their whole logistics sector to 3PL provider and employing other logistics functions. Among respondents, a majority of the service provider stated that they offered satisfactory cost-saving to the customers, while users felt that the degree of satisfaction for using 3PL services was evaluated as at an average level and they more highly regarded the strong partnership of their 3PL provider rather than the saving of cost and improvement of customer's services. Moreover, in contrast to the 3PL providers which regard the most important factor for selecting 3PL service provider is the logistics cost quoted, users of 3PL services felt that the quality of services was more significant than the reduction of cost, and this tendency for selecting 3PL providers was shown in more advanced countries. While users of 3PL services indicated that the main reason for not using 3PL services was to avoid disclosing information of their business and it costs much for employing 3PL providers than doing themselves, 3PL providers thought it was due to reluctancy of opening information and resistance from the logistics division engaged in logistics activities concerned. Accordingly, providers and users of 3PL services should trust each other and prepare plan to activate 3PL services under the collaborative relationships as soon as possible.

  • For the purpose of cost saving and sales promotion, various industry companies have introduced logistics management techniques in their field. However, enterprises faced to damages because proper products can not be provided to customers in basic logistics 3S1L(speedy, safely, surely, and low) principles for environments changing rapidly and inflexible business processes. So, we need the ability in coping with risk to handle this phenomenon. In particular, the shipper of key decisions of supply chain risk management requires continuous exchange and collection of logistics information in the third-party logistics. However the current SCRMS(Supply Chain Risk Management System) is not sufficient to cover the shipper's various needs and to recognize and respond to emergency situations. Therefore, this paper proposes an active SCRMS framework through the reconsideration about the previous research on SCRM and rearrangement of risk factors for coping with those problems. in addition, it verifies an efficiency through a stability comparison with the current system.
