Maximum Delay-Aware Admission Control for Machine-to-Machine Communications in LTE-Advanced Systems (LTE-Advanced 시스템에서 M2M 통신의 최대 지연시간을 고려한 호 수락 방법)

  • Smart grid and intelligent transportation system draw significant interest since they are considered as one of the green technologies. These systems require a large number of sensors, actuators, and controllers. Also, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications is important because of the automatic control. The LTE-Advanced networks is preparing a set of functions that facilitate the M2M communications, and particularly the development of an efficient call admission control mechanism is critical. A method that groups MTC devices according to QoS constraints and determines the admission depending on the QoS satisfaction is limitedly applied only if the data transmission period and the maximum delay are identical. This paper proposed a call admission control that is free from such limitation and also optimizes the admission process under the certain condition of the transmission period and maximum delay. The theorems regarding the proposed method are presented with the proofs. The simulations confirms its validity and shows it is better in call admission probability than existing works.

An efficient Broadcast Authentication Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서의 효율적 Broadcast Authentication 방안)

  • It is difficult to apply conventional security algorithms to the wireless sensor networks composed of nodes that have resource constraints such as memory, computing, power resources limitation. Generally, shared key based algorithms with low resource consumption and short key length are used for broadcast packets in authentication of base station. But it is not suitable that all the nodes hold the same shared key only for packet authentication. Recently, broadcast authentication algorithm for sensor network is proposed, which uses key chain generation by one-way hash function, Message Authentication Code generation by each keys of the key chains and delayed key disclosure. It provides suitable authentication method for wireless sensor networks but may leads to inefficient consequence with respect to network conditions such as broadcast ratio, key chain level, and so on. In this paper, we propose an improved broadcast authentication algorithm that uses key chain link and periodical key disclosure. We evaluated the performance of proposed algorithm using TOSSIM(TinyOS Simulator) in TinyOS. The results show that the proposed algorithm ensures low authentication delay, uses memory and computing resource of receiving nodes efficiently and reduces the amount of packet transmitting/receiving.

  • 최근 하천의 유사 중 소류사량을 계측하기 위해 사용된 기존의 물리적 소류사 샘플러를 이용한 직접계측방법은 홍수 시에 깊은 수위와 빠른 유속, 계측 절차상의 위험성 때문에 현장관측이 매우 어려운 한계를 극복하기 위해 현업에서는 소류사량을 간접적으로 추정하는 이론식에 의한 방법이 광범위하게 활용되고 있으나 이 방법 또한 추정이론식의 적용지역, 적용방법에 따라 결과가 수십배 이상 큰 차이를 나타나 실제 활용성에 대한 문제점이 있다. 이러한 기존의 소류사량 측정 방법의 문제점을 보완하기 위해 소류사량을 간접계측하는 방법이 활발히 제안되고 있다. 대표적인 방법으로 하상 이동 시 소류사의 충돌음을 음향센서로 계측하여 신호처리를 통해 소류사량을 추정하는 계측기기인 하이드로폰이 있다. 그러나 국외의 소류사량 간접계측 장치는 소류사량의 운송량이 많을 경우 음향신호 중접으로 인해 펄스 수의 감소, 감지 가능한 입경크기의 제한 등의 문제가 있다. 또한 국내의 백무평(2018)이 제안한 소류사 분석 방법인 대역통과방법(B-P Method)는 소류사량 추정에 있어서 기존의 방법과는 달리 주파수 특성을 반영하여 이전 연구들에 비하여 펄스 검출률을 향상시겼지만 이 방법은 극히 낮은 저유속과 작은 입경이라는 실험조건에서 이루어졌다는 제한사항이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 다양한 입경과 고유속에 대하여 소류사량을 정량화할 수 있는 방법을 제시하기 위해 소류사 입경이 하이드로폰에 충돌할 때 발생하는 단독입자의 충돌음을 계측하기 위한 실외 수로실험장치를 구축하여 계측을 수행하였다. 실험은 현장에서 대표 시료로 분류된 몇 가지 입경에 대해서 유량 변화에 따른 충돌음향과 소류사량 그리고 소류사 입경크기에 따른 하이드로폰에서 인지되는 음향 특성을 계측 및 분석하였다. 연구결과 입경 크기 및 수리조건 변화에 따른 하이드로폰의 충돌음향 특성을 파악하여 단일 입경별 소류사량 추정관계식을 산출하였다. 또한 산출된 추정 관계식의 특성치와 공급 소류사량 간의 관계를 유도해 보았다. 향후 혼합입경에 대한 실험과 추정 관계식 신뢰성 검토 후 추가적으로 다양한 실험조건을 고려하여 실제 하천에 운송되는 소류사량과의 교정관계 확립을 진행한다면 국내 소류사량 데이터 수집을 위한 현장 설치까지 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • MIRIS(Multipurpose InfraRed Imaging System)는 과학기술위성 3호의 주 탑재체로서 2011년 발사예정인 다목적 적외선 카메라 시스템이다. MIRIS는 우주관측 카메라와 지구관측 카메라로 구성되어 있으며, 우주관측 카메라는 $0.9-2.0{\mu}m$ 영역에서 3.67 deg. x 3.67 deg. FOV로 우리 은하평면 survey 관측과 우주배경복사(CIB) 관측을 수행할 것이다. 현재 MIRIS는 비행모델 개발 마무리 단계에 있으며, 검교정 시험, 열-진공 시험, 진동 시험 등을 수행하고 나면 2010년 말 위성 본체와의 조립을 진행할 것이다. 우주관측 카메라는 궤도상에서 태양, 지구의 적외선 복사와 망원경과 검출기 주변에서 발생하는 열잡음을 줄이기 위해 냉각이 필요하며, 제한된 위성의 무게와 부피, 전력등의 요구조건들 때문에 망원경 및 구조체의 복사냉각(Passive Cooling) 방법을 선택하였다. Passive cooling으로 우주관측 카메라의 망원경이 200K 이하로 냉각되면, dewar에 설치된 소형 냉각기를 가동하여 적외선 센서를 80K로 냉각한다. 위성체 내벽과 우주관측카메라의 각 구조체들 사이의 복사를 차단하기위해 30층의 MLI를 적용 하였고, 각 구조체들간의 열전도를 최소화하기위해 GFRP supporter를 적용하였다. 이 실험은 천문(연)에서 자체 제작한 열-진공 챔버를 활용하여 진행하였으며, 이미 인증모델에 대한 passive cooling 실험을 두 차례 실시하였고, 그 실험 결과를 반영하여 최종 비행모델에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며, 그 실험 결과에 대해 논의 하고자 한다.

  • Through the development of techniques, robots are becomes smaller, and many of robots needed for application are greater and greater. Method of coordinating large number of autonomous robots through local interactions has becoming an important research issue in robot community. Swarm Robot System is a system that independent autonomous robots in the restricted environment infer their status from preassigned conditions and operate their jobs through the coorperation with each other. Within the SRS,a robot contains sensor part to percept the situation around them, communication part to exchange information, and actuator part to do a work. Specially, in order to cooperate with other robots, communicating with other robot is one of the essential elements. In such as Bluetooth has many adventages such as low power consumption, small size module package, and various standard procotols, it is rated as one of the efficent communcating system for autonomous robot is developed in this paper. and How to construct and what kind of procedure to develop the communicatry system for group behavior of the SRS under intelligent space is discussed in this paper.

  • The MQTT-SN (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport-Sensor Network) protocol is a message transmission protocol used in a sensor-based Internet of Things (IoT) environment. This MQTT-SN protocol is a publish-subscribe model with a broker in the middle of message transmission, and each IoT device sends and receives messages through an intermediary when delivering messages. However, the MQTT-SN protocol does not provide security-related functions such as message security, mutual authentication, access control, and broker security. Accordingly, various security problems have recently occurred, and a situation in which security is required has emerged. In this paper, we review the security requirements of MQTT-SN once again, and propose a modified protocol that improves security while satisfying the constraints in the environment where the resource of IoT to which this protocol is applied is limited. Unlike the existing protocol, the security field and authentication server have been added to satisfy the security requirements. In addition, the proposed protocol is actually implemented and tested, and the proposed protocol is evaluated for practical use in terms of energy consumption.

Automatic Extraction of Buildings using Aerial Photo and Airborne LIDAR Data (항공사진과 항공레이저 데이터를 이용한 건물 자동추출)

  • This paper presents an algorithm that automatically extracts buildings among many different features on the earth surface by fusing LIDAR data with panchromatic aerial images. The proposed algorithm consists of three stages such as point level process, polygon level process, parameter space level process. At the first stage, we eliminate gross errors and apply a local maxima filter to detect building candidate points from the raw laser scanning data. After then, a grouping procedure is performed for segmenting raw LIDAR data and the segmented LIDAR data is polygonized by the encasing polygon algorithm developed in the research. At the second stage, we eliminate non-building polygons using several constraints such as area and circularity. At the last stage, all the polygons generated at the second stage are projected onto the aerial stereo images through collinearity condition equations. Finally, we fuse the projected encasing polygons with edges detected by image processing for refining the building segments. The experimental results showed that the RMSEs of building corners in X, Y and Z were 8.1cm, 24.7cm, 35.9cm, respectively.

  • Since the pixel size of the image sensor used in optical systems is gradually decreasing, the resolution specification of the optical system should be inevitably higher. If aberration change according to the eccentricity of a specific lens group occurs, only the amount of eccentricity of a specific lens group may be calculated with the traditional resolution adjustment method so that the aberration of the optical system is minimized to a certain extent. As a result, it is possible to increase the resolution of the optical system and to respond to a sensor with a large number of pixels. However, in the traditional method, there should be no change in specific aberration due to the eccentricity of a specific lens group. In this paper, we propose a new method to eliminate such a limitation of the traditional method in a camera optical system with a floating system, which is to choose and control the arbitrary two lens groups to easily minimize the eccentricity of the optical system in order to obtain an optical system with high resolution.

  • Flight recoder is used to analyze the accident factors and prevent the accident. In the analysis of the flight recorder, the most important factor is how to estimate the precise location of the flight. Traditional aviation navigation is based on stable sensors such as DME and VOR. In order to enhance the precision of the location estimation, the integrated navigation algorithm is designed to incorporate DME, Air data sensors and INS(Inertial Navigation System). The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve better accuracy, comparing with the traditional navigation schemes, in flight location estimation.

Quality Evaluation of Drone Image using Siemens star (Siemens star를 이용한 드론 영상의 품질 평가)

  • In the view of the application of high-precision spatial information production, UAV (Umanned Aerial Vehicle)-Photogrammetry has a problem in that it lacks specific procedures and detailed regulations for quantitative quality verification methods or certification of captured images. In addition, test tools for UAV image quality assessment use only the GSD (Ground Sample Distance), not MTF (Modulation Transfer Function), which reflects image resolution and contrast at the same time. This fact makes often the quality of UAV image inferior to that of manned aerial image. We performed MTF and GSD analysis simultaneously using a siemens star to confirm the necessity of MTF analysis in UAV image quality assessment. The analyzing results of UAV images taken with different payload and sensors show that there is a big difference in σMTF values, representing image resolution and the degree of contrast, but slightly different in GSD. It concluded that the MTF analysis is a more objective and reliable analysis method than just the GSD analysis method, and high-quality drone images can only be obtained when the operator make images after judging the proper selection the sensor performance, image overlaps, and payload type. However, the results of this study are derived from analyzing only images acquired by limited sensors and imaging conditions. It is therefore expected that more objective and reliable results will be obtained if continuous research is conducted by accumulating various experimental data in related fields in the future.
