Except for some fields, Smart Grid-related technology in Korea is considered to be below the level of developed countries. Under this situation, this study is conducted to look into IT technology related to Smart Grid and draw prospective IT R&D fields in the Smart Grid Industry. To seek out prospective IT R&D fields, the two-stage process evaluating economics, political property, and technical validity. According to the result, four fields of (1) sensor, (2) information protection, (3) AMI middleware, (4) electricity management are selected as prospective fields. The sensor and AMI middleware fields focus on development of key technology, so the strategy that launches leading products in global market faster than other countries(Focusing & First Mover Strategy). The information protection felid is divided into the safety technology for the felid electricity network and the personal & corporate information protection technology, and therefore the R&D Sharing strategy is efficient. For the electricity management filed, a strategic alliance for developing component technology of Grid is desirable.

The barrel cam, which is a type of cylindrical cam, has been widely used as a part of index drive units for automatic manufacturing machines. The axis of rotation of the barrel cam is orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the follower. The index drive rotates or dwells depending on the cam profile, while the cam rotates with a constant velocity. Continuous sliding contact between the barrel cam and the follower surfaces causes wearing of the adhesive between them. This study shows that the contact force between two sliding bodies is responsible for the wear of the barrel cam in the paper-cup-forming machine. This contact force is calculated by using the multibody dynamics model of the paper-cup-forming machine. The analytical result is validated by comparing it to the actual wear spots on the real product.
In the digital world, creative industries such as music, movies, and drama have been the most impacted by digital transformation. As these contents were converted to a digital format of 0s and 1s, the business model changed and so did the rules of competition in the market. Apple, Spotify, and Netflix were quick to ride the digital transformation wave to become market leaders in the creative industry. This study reviews case studies in the creative industry to grasp the important factors necessary for market restructuring using digital technology. It was found that companies that set visions, platform, and open innovation as business strategies were able to achieve critical mass and become market leaders. These three elements are commonly found in the contents industry. On the other hand, companies that did not embrace digital innovation have become victims of digital darwinism. By analysing the experience of digital product innovation through case studies in the creative industry, we can derive implications for digital transformation in the 4th industrial revolution.
The purpose of this study is to verify the influence on customers' experiences of products, prices, places of advertisements, staffs, and physical environments, and the impact on store attitudes and revisit intentions of the customers' experiences. For this, in this study marketing activities and store attitude factors were selected as sub-factors and the empirical analysis was carried out. As a result of the analysis, of dimensions that comprise those marketing activity factors, physical environments, prices, and places had a positive impact on store attitudes. In addition, the stores' positive attitude on hypermarkets had a positive influence on the customer's revisit intention. The results of the study suggest that hypermarkets can utilize the experiential marketing using customer experience factors as their important strategic factor through moving away from their traditional marketing activities.
In this paper, we have studied the enhancement of the acoustic image by combining bases of support for SFR (Spatial Frequency Response) taken at multi-frequencies. The scanning acoustic microscope system have been constructed using the quadrature detector that is able to measure the amplitude and phase of the reflected signal simultaneously. Both real and quadrature components of reflected signal have been acquired at 4.4 ㎒ to 5.6 ㎒ reliably and accurately. In this experimental result, better depth resolution can be obtained by numerically combining images taken at several different frequencies. Image intensity have been better about 3.4 times at multi-frequency than one at a single frequency.

Manufacturing companies usually manage the process to achieve high quality using various types of control chart in statistical process control. When an assignable cause occurs in a process, the data in the control chart changes with different patterns by the specific causes. It is important in process control to classify the CCP (Control Chart Pattern) recognition for fast decision making. In former research, gathered data from process used to apply as raw data, leads to degrade the performance of recognizer and to decrease the learning speed. Therefore, feature based recognizer, employing feature extraction method, has been studied to enhance the classification accuracy and to reduce the dimension of data. We propose the method to extract features that take the distances between CCP data and reference vector generated from BDK (Bi-Directional Kohonen Network). We utilize those features as the input vectors in ANN (Artificial Neural Network) and compare with raw data applied ANN to evaluate the performance.
The aim of this study is to consider the physical distribution system of assembly supplied from $1^{st}$ supplier and module corporation to automobile assembly plant through analysis of existing literatures and interview survey. The major findings of this study are as follows. Parts supply of automobile are to bind together with many regional parts supplier than using multi frequency and small delivery of JIT. Regional physical distribution center of joint parts and integrated physical distribution information center is to be installed in neighboring region of automobile assembly plant in order to reduce the transport cost by designating and activating multiple physical distribution and transport companies in each automobile assembly plant and turning into effective high volume shipping system.
In this paper, we present a hybrid neural network model for dynamic hand gesture recognition. The model consists of two modules, feature extraction module and pattern classification module. We first propose a modified CNN(convolutional Neural Network) a pattern recognition model for the feature extraction module. Then we introduce a weighted fuzzy min-max(WFMM) neural network for the pattern classification module. The data representation proposed in this research is a spatiotemporal template which is based on the motion information of the target object. To minimize the influence caused by the spatial and temporal variation of the feature points, we extend the receptive field of the CNN model to a three-dimensional structure. We discuss the learning capability of the WFMM neural networks in which the weight concept is added to represent the frequency factor in training pattern set. The model can overcome the performance degradation which may be caused by the hyperbox contraction process of conventional FMM neural networks. From the experimental results of human action recognition and dynamic hand gesture recognition for remote-control electric home appliances, the validity of the proposed models is discussed.

Recently, standardization organizations including ITU, ATM Forum, etc. have much interested in the interoperability issues between telecommunications products or services. Because interoperability issues are directly related to the improvement of qualities of telecommunications standards or services. Thus, this paper analyzes the trends of interoperability testing polices for quality improvement of telecommunications standards in major standardization organizations, for example ITU-T, ATM Forum, DAVIC, BC-lT 226(Europe), HATS Conference(Japan), including Korea. In addition this paper suggests the desirable national interoperability testing policies and directions for quality improvement of telecommunications standards or services.
