Design of a Self-tuning Controller with a PID Structure Using Neural Network (신경회로망을 이용한 PID구조를 갖는 자기동조제어기의 설계)

  • This paper presents a generalized minimum-variance self-tuning controller with a PID structure using neural network which adapts to the changing parameters of the nonlinear system with nonminimum phase behavior and time delays. The neural network is used to estimate the controller parameters, and the control output is obtained through estimated controller parameter. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, the computer simulation is done to adapt the nonlinear nonminimum phase system with time delays and changed system parameter after a constant time. The proposed method compared with direct adaptive controller using neural network.

Sinusoidal Tracking Control of Voltage Source PWM Converter by Input Current Estimation (입력전류추정에 의한 전압형 PWM 컨버터의 정현추종제어)

  • This paper presents the sinusoidal tracking controller in error to eliminate the steady state control error and to improve the transient characteristics for input current in voltage source PWM converter with input current estimation. The estimation method of input current values and configuration of controller are described. DC output voltage is controlled by PI controller, and sinusoidal tracking current controller which tracks directly AC input current is used as input current controller. The sinusoidal tracking current controller can be used without any coordinate transformation algorithms.It is proved that the steady state deviation of input current reduces to zero and the proposed control system is not affected by input voltage from transfer functions of input current control system. The validity of proposed scheme is verified by simulations and experimental results for load resister and input voltage variation.

  • A multi-injector rocket engine using high concentrated hydrogen peroxide and kerosene as the oxidizer and fuel was designed and fabricated. Six coaxial swirl injectors were mounted on the mixing head and flow analysis in the manifold was performed to minimize stagnation and recirculation zones. Finally, uniformity of mass flow rate and spray pattern was evaluated by cold flow tests and the mixing head design process was successfully verified the results.

  • In this paper, a robust controller for PWM converter is proposed. The proposde converter controller consists of a PI controller for DC output voltage and a current controller using error-space approach for maintaining the sinusoidal current waveform and unity power factor. Conventionally, the try and error method has been used to design the current controller considering the switching frequency of the devices and sampling frequency of the digital controller. But this proposed method is based on characteristic ratio assignment(CRA) method which has the advantage to design the optimal gain to meet the referenced response and overshoot within the limit range. First, the CRA based current controller algorithm is explained. Then the validity of proposed controller is verified through the PSiM simulation and experience results.

  • 파괴역할적으로 피로문제를 다룰 때는 언제나 crack의 존재를 전재로 한다. 재료가 피로하중을 받아 파괴에이르는 과정의 설명은, 일차적으로는 피로에의한 crack의 발생이고, 다음단계로는 발 생한 crack들의 상호연결 또는 성장을 거쳐 최종적으로 파단에 이른다는 순서로 이루어진다고 보 기 때문이다. 또한, crack의 존재를 전제로 하더래도 crack청단의 응력장이 탄성론적으로 해석될 수 있어야함도 절대적인 전제가 되고 있다. 모든 피로제엔 각경형태의 crack발생, 성장이 관찰되 고 있는데, 이들 모든 crack들이다. 파괴역학적으로 다루어 질 수 있는 것은 물론 아니고, 아직도 K해석이 도어있지 않은 crack들이 많이 남아 있는 것이다. 예컨대 회전굽힘 피로시험편에서 관찰 되는 각종 형태의 표면피로 crack들은 응력해석의 곤란 때문에 아직은 이들에 적용시킬 K의 표 식이 없는 실정이라 하겠다. 이들 crack에 대해서는 K해석 뿐만 아니고, 피로역학적인 다른 Factor 즉 $r_{p}$라든가 .phi.같은 것들도 이해색상태에 있어 이 분야에의 연구가 많이 기대되고 있는 실정이다. Crack에 대한 연구는, 그것이 파괴의 전제가 되기 때문에 큰 의의를 갖는다고 보 겠는데 표면 Crack이 연결 또는 성장해서 시편의 전주를 완전히 일주 했어도 그것만으로는 바로 재료의 파괴에 직결이 되지 않는 것도 이 시험편의 특색이라 하겠다. 물론 회전굽힘 피로시험편 외에도 K해석이 되어있지 않은 경우는 아직도 많으며, K가 해석되어 있는 경우에 대해서도 정확 한 경계조건 등을 잘 검토해 가면서 응용함이 옳을 것이다. 화전굽힘피로의 경우나 그밖의 예에 서와같이 정확한 K해석이 이루어져 있지 않드래도 연구자에 따라 "Effective Streess Intensity Factor"라는 것을 쓰는 예도 왕왕있는데, 이에는 상당한 검토와 타당성제가 요구되고 있으며, 그 사용가능성여부에 대해서는 논란이 많이 따르는데 상례이기도 하다. 몇가지의 피로구열해석예를 들어보기로 한다. 들어보기로 한다.

  • 지난 수년간 사회 문화적 인식 변화 및 정치 경제적 여건 변화와 함께 치수사업이나 정책의 원할한 추진을 위한 갈등의 예방과 조정, 해결이 매우 중요한 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 일방적이고 획일적인 추진방법과 여러 가지 원인들로 인해 환경단체나 그 지역의 이해당사자와의 마찰이 불가피해졌으며 이러한 갈등을 완화하거나 조율할 수 있는 제도 및 정책적인 방법은 이미 한계를 드러내고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이해당사자들의 참여와 충분한 협의를 통해 해결책을 도모할 수 있는 객체지향적인 소프트웨어를 개발함에 있다. 다양하고 광범위한 갈등 발생 요인을 모두 고려하기란 실질적으로 많은 어려움과 전문성 및 복잡성을 가지고 있으며, 또한 공영시각모형은 이해당사자간의 의견을 신속하게 수렴하여 결과를 제시할 수 있어야 하며 다양성을 고려할 수 있도록 유동적이어야 함을 감안할 경우 어느 정도 범위를 가질 수밖에 없는 한계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 댐 건설과 같은 대형 치수사업이 수행되는 경우 이해당사자의 참여와 정보공개 추진절차 등에 대해 투명성을 확보할 수 있는 행정적인 요인과 기술(공학)으로는 홍수저감효과, 경제적 요인에서는 사업의 효과성과 타당성을 개략적으로 도출하여 제시함으로써 위의 3가지 갈등 발생요인을 갈등 조정 목표로 설정하고 본 논문에서는 댐 건설시 이수와 치수분야에 있어 이수용량 산정에 대한 모형을 구축하였다.

Design Method of Star Grain using Database (데이터베이스를 사용한 Star 그레인 설계 방법)

  • The star-shaped propellant grain can be used for designing burning surface areas with various profiles and are easy to manufacture, so it can be usefully applied to actual solid rocket motors. However, since there are many design-related configuration variables and slivers at the end of combustion, it is difficult to achieve an optimal design using a general optimization technique. In this study, the new method for designing star grains using a database was proposed to increase usability and success rate of optimization design. In the proposed method, a solution that satisfies the requirements is obtained after defining the performance variables, constructing the database. By applying the proposed method, the design of star grains with various profiles of the burning surface area was performed, and the validity of the design method was confirmed.

A Study on the Validity of Criminal Punishment for the Violation of the Clause 1 or the Article 88 of the Military Service Law (병역법 제88조 제1항 위반에 따른 형사처벌 타당성에 관한 연구)

  • In the Republic of Korea, punishment of conscientious objectors is rising as a social issue once again. Large number of news articles on the punishment of conscientious objectors are updated on portal sites several times a day. The background for this phenomena is based on the disagreement between the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court. The Constitutional Court has ruled that it is constitutional for the government to punish conscientious objectors who denied their service for religious belief according to the Clause 1 of the Article 88 of the Military Service Law. However, district courts have taken different stance in the lower instance. 6 rulings in 2015, 7 rulings in 2016, and 16 rulings in the first half of 2017 has declared the conscientious objectors as not guilty. At the same time, the issue is becoming more controversial as the Jeju District Court has made two different rulings on the punishment of conscientious objectors who denied their military service for religious belief. Therefore, the study aims to find out whether conscientious objection can be included as a reasonable cause under the Clause 1 of the Article 88 of the Military Service Law, and take thorough review on the interpretation and the application of Article 18 of the Human Rights Covenant by examining the rulings at the Supreme Court, Constitutional Court, and District Courts.

Research Priorities to Support Mandatory Implementation of a Total Pollutant Load Management System (TPLMS) in the Han River Basin (한강수계 의무적 수질오염총량관리제시행지원을 위한 조사·연구의 우선순위 설정)

  • The Total Pollutant Load Management System(TPLMS) in the Han River basin is being changed from a voluntary to a mandatory system. Accordingly, this study suggests directions and priorities for research that can support implementation of TPLMS through an objective approach that deploys gap analysis and analytic hierarchy processes (AHP). Gap analysis indicated that TPLMS in Korea is still focused on compliance with regulations, and that implementation of TPLMS is still in its early stage. Improvements are thus needed in flexibility and effectiveness, including introduction of emissions rights trading, and upgrading to a renewable emissions permit system. The AHP study indicated that R&D will need to proceed in parallel in multiple areas to improve systems and resolve scientific uncertainties. Balanced R&D will be needed in both the institutional and technical groups. Subgroup analysis indicated that developing a reasonable process to establish water quality management targets is of the highest priority in the institutional group. In the technical group, higher priority will need to be given to improving model reliability and developing innovative pollution load reduction technologies.

A Study on the Revitalization of the Competency Assessment System in the Public Sector : Compare with Private Sector Operations (공공부문 역량평가제도의 활성화 방안에 대한 연구 : 민간부분의 운영방식과의 비교 연구)

  • The HR policy in the public sector was closed and operated mainly on written tests, but in 2006, a new evaluation, promotion and education system based on competence was introduced in the promotion and selection system of civil servants. In particular, the seniority-oriented promotion system was evaluated based on competence by operating an Assessment Center related to promotion. Competency evaluation is known to be the most reliable and valid evaluation method among the evaluation methods used to date and is also known to have high predictive feasibility for performance. In 2001, 19 government standard competency models were designed. In 2006, the competency assessment was implemented with the implementation of the high-ranking civil service team system. In the public sector, the purpose of the competency evaluation is mainly to select third-grade civil servants, assign fourth-grade civil servants, and promotion fifth-grade civil servants. However, competency assessments in the public sector differ in terms of competency assessment objectives, assessment processes and competency assessment programmes compared to those in the private sector. For the purposes of competency assessment, the public sector is for the promotion of candidates, and the private sector focuses on career development and fostering. Therefore, it is not continuously developing capabilities than the private sector and is not used to enhance performance in performing its duties. In relation to evaluation items, the public sector generally operates a system that passes capacity assessment at 2.5 out of 5 for 6 competencies, lacks feedback on what competencies are lacking, and the private sector uses each individual's competency score. Regarding the selection and operation of evaluators, the public sector focuses on fairness in evaluation, and the private sector focuses on usability, which is inconsistent with the aspect of developing capabilities and utilizing human resources in the right place. Therefore, the public sector should also improve measures to identify outstanding people and motivate them through capacity evaluation and change the operation of the capacity evaluation system so that they can grow into better managers through accurate reports and individual feedback
