Effectiveness of Net Traps and Clove Oil in Controlling Large Black Chafers Beetle (Holotrichia parallela ) in Organic Pear Orchards (유기재배 배 과수원에서 그물망과 정향유 처리가 큰검정풍뎅이 방제에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether leaf damage in pear orchards caused by large black chafer beetles can be controlled through net traps and clove oil treatment. In June 2017, we measured large black chafer beetle population density and leaf damage rates in two orchards, located in Boseong and Hampyeong, under three treatments: net, net plus clove oil, and control. In order to evaluate the effect of net position on the adult beetles, nets were placed outside the orchard and along the upper and lower parts of a horizontal trellis. The adult beetle population density was 20.4 to 34.7% lower in the net alone treatment, and 21.1 to 38.1% lower in the combined net and clove oil treatment than in the control. The adult beetle population density was 10.9-14.4 times higher outside the orchard and 5.1 to 9.1 times higher in the upper parts of the horizontal trellis than in the lower parts of the horizontal trellis. Leaf damage under both the net only and net plus clove oil treatments was significantly lower than that in the control at both sites. Therefore, intensive net installation around orchards may be a practical organic alternative to prevent leaf damage caused by large black chafer beetles.

A Study on the Enjoyment Modes of Classic Novels·Ga-Sa in Cheongsong of the Middle of the-20th Century (20세기 중반 청송 지역의 고전소설·가사의 향유 양상)

  • Depending on the class and status, literary works are variously accepted and interpreted. As a result, they show different forms and ways of enjoying the novels and different variations of a text. The only ideal way of investigating and analyzting it is to meet someone who actually lived in that era. This study tries to investigate the enjoying aspects of the classic Korean classical novels by studying how the classical novels have been enjoyed in Northern Gyeong-Buk Area, especially in Cheongsong. It is a follow-up study of cases studies based in Yeongdeok, Uljin. As a result, one can come true the conclusions. In the case of Cheongsong, the Northern Area and Southern Areas show differences in their modes enjoying the Korean classical novels. The Northern Area has a strong expresses self-confidence and pride, and forms solid enjoying groups. However I could hardly find any such cases in the Southern Area. And the entertaining aspects of the classical novels are enjoyed by individuals rather than entertainers. It shows that there have been many difficulties in the culture of in taking-root classical novels as a firm ludic culture in Cheongsong. Furthermore, this survey can identify a duality of entertainers genres conception to enjoying Ga-sa and classic the Korean classical novels. The entertainers who haves read only the classical novels has not hidden ashamed of themselves as readers and entertainersof them. But the entertainers who are proud of the self as enjoyers of Ga-sa tried to dissimulate hide the fact that they read of the classical novels, because they think that a narrativity and fictitiousness, incredibility of the novels are disproportionate inappropriate to their for dignity as members of Yangban(兩班) families, and are in stark contrast to the morality and seriousness of Ga-sa.

  • It needs to explain the relationship between influencers and consequences to use continuity of social media. To address this question, we have developed an framework and made hypotheses to explicate and analyze influencers(social presence, perceived privacy risk, perceived enjoyment, commitment, and community identification) to the attitude and continuity of social media. To test empirically, data collected from on and line survey and resolved by structural equation model. We found that social presence, perceived enjoyment and commitment influence to the attitude and continuity of social media. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications of theses results are discussed also research limitation and future research directions.

A Landscape Possessor and Enjoyment of Jongho on the Mansutan River Traced by Stone Inscription and 'Jongho Eight Views' (바위글씨와 팔경으로 추적한 만수탄(萬水灘) 종호(鍾湖)의 경관 향유자와 풍류상)

  • This study was attempted to seek the garden enjoyment of the Yang Un-geo etc., in the head house(宗宅) of Namwonyang's family and Jongho in Sunchang Gumiri through literature and field research. Admirers of Jongho were "six old Taoist hermit", including Cholo(楚老) Yang Un-geo(楊雲擧, 1613-1672) and Yangjindang Haman-ri, the author of Jongho-palgyeong, who was very close friends of Yang, as well as his son-in-law or out-law. Jonghojeong Pavilion, overland rock and nearby Takyeongjeong, which were built around a stone island shaped like a helmet, and a pool along the river, are known as 'Imcheonwonrim(林泉園林)' as the center of the custom that was conducted based on head house, which is up to 2km away from Jongho. Jongho-palgyeong is found to share the characteristics of Jeongja Palgyeong, which is based on Jonghoam, overland and Takyeongjeong, and the characteristics of the town's township of Namwonyang, Gumi-ri. The number of rock letters identified by the Mansutan members is a total of nine points, which clearly indicates that the scene was a scene where the custom of call to create poetry·fishing·playing musical instruments and drinking, as well as the scenery and landscape structure of the Jongho Palgyeong. Jongho Palgyeong, its customs and surrounding rock writing are highly suggestive and valid cultural views to remind or direct the old landscape of Mansutan Jongho and suggest to modern traditional landscapes as well as the "Noblesse oblige landscape enjoyment case."

A study on the Meaning Contact of ManChwi Pavilion's Place Transmission and Sense of Prototype Landscape (만취정(晩翠亭)의 장소 전승과 원형경관향유 양상)

  • This study is based on the assumption that the documentations, and poetry form a basis for undertone of the location and original landscape explored by inference and enjoyment aspects; the significance has been inferred by investigating the original location, relocated location, and the original landscape of Imsil Manchwi Pavilion. The results of the attempted research for locational value, and preservation of the original landscape before and after the relocation of Imsil Manchwi Pavilion is as follows. Firstly, Manchwi, meaning evergreen, was made a pseudonym of KimWi. The name reflects an image two evergreen pine trees facing one another. The poetry form presents the eternal fidelity. In addition, considering the symbolic plant and the meaning of evergreen pine trees specified on the pavilion, the name is derived from the fidelity, longevity of the family, vitality and so on. Secondly, Manchwi Pavilion was founded in the location, known as the snakehead form, that represents the vitality. Snake faces the swallow form over the river, therefore, it connotes the wishes for fidelity and prosperity of the family. Manchwi Pavillion is prostrate pheasant form which is suitable for those who look for a hiding place or place for their study. It is noticeable that the location infers and hand down the efforts on succession for prosperity of the family and the study. Thirdly, it is estimated that Manchwi Pavilion was established between 1572 and 1582; and the relocation was conducted in the late 1880s. Fourthly, although eternal fidelity was presented in Manchwi Pavillion with locational language, the Manchwi Pavillion after its relocation next to KimWi's grave implies the tendency of the changed value: the commemoration of the ancestors, and prosperity of the family. Fifthly, after the relocation of the pavilion, the proportion of the rooms with Korean heating system, so-called'Ondol'has been increased for its best use in all seasons. And its veranda for extension and its verse couplet implies that this connote the original meaning and pursuit of the study. Sixthly, the way that the poetry portrays pine trees, pond, plants, valleys, and streams shows the aspect of enjoyment of the landscapes and the meaning of fidelity, pure mind, free and easy life, self-examination, the frailty of human life. Lastly, despite the difference between tenth poetic language of three Sipyoung and Wonwoon Sipyeong, exploring the landscape based on the analysis on the poetry can be a basis on the maintenance and restoration of the original landscape as the inspiration and the meaning show that Wonwoon Sipyeong maintains the aspect of the author enjoying original landscape.

A Study of Kuwoonmong Writing and Enjoyment in the Aspects of Yin-Yang (陰陽) and Wu Xing (五行) Imagination (음양오행적 상상력에 기반한 <구운몽>의 창작과 향유 방식 연구)

  • This study explores the creation and enjoyment of Kuwoonmong (九雲夢) using a reference system called the cultural imagination, which is related to the Yin-Yang (陰陽) and Wu Xing (五行). When Kim Manjung wrote Guwoonmong, he may have composed figures and events based on this imagination. In particular, when he designed the eight seonnyeo (팔선녀), he set the order such as Gap (甲), Eul (乙), Byeong (병), Jeong (丁), etc. and characterized them according to the celestial stem (天干). Thus it was easy to avoid overlapping of characters and to construct various stories and relationships between them. The table below shows the characters of Kuwoonmong corresponding to the celestial stem. In not only the individual person but also the narrative world, Kuwoonmon demonstrates Yin-Yang and Wu Xing's imagination. In this respect, Kuwoonmon can be considered a large symbol encompassing the abstract theory of Yin-Yang and Wu Xing. Of course, the writer, Kim, Manjung would not have tried to symbolize the principle intentionally. However, he was also present in the environment of the cultural imagination that has been formed over the years. The same is true for the contemporary recipients of Guwunmong. They would have had a pleasant experience applying the cultural imagination and strengthening their familiar world view and human view.

Investigation into the actual condition of the Cultural Welfare System for the Disabled -Focus on a Museum and Art Museum in Youngwol-gun- (장애인을 위한 문화복지서비스의 실태 분석연구 -영월군의 박물관·미술관을 중심으로-)

  • This study examined the actual condition of the cultural welfare system for the disabled. The survey was completed by 21 public and private museums at a cultural welfare center in Gangwon-do, Yongwol-gun, specialized for museums only between 1 June and 31 July 2014. The study scale questions were analyzed by field surveys in cultural welfare centers and interviewing the museum directors. The results were as follows. First, there were cultural welfare service effects on the controlling culture, art and leisure activities for the disabled. Second, cultural enjoyment improved the quality of life and life satisfaction of the disabled. This study provides a database to improve policy regarding environmental construction, various program developments, visiting performance system development, and supplement and financial support for the disabled audience as a member of society.

Toesikje Garden and Landscape Culture in the Middle Goryeo Dynasty as Viewed through 'Dongkukesangkukjip' ('동국이상국집(東國李相國集)'을 통해 본 고려중기 퇴식재(退食齋) 원유와 조경문화)

  • In reviewing 'Dongkukesangkukjip(東國李相國集)' a selection of prose and poetry describing Toesikje, the house of Kee Heung-soo, a military official in the middle Goryeo Dynasty, the outcome of the study intended to infer garden scenery and landscape culture managed and possessed by high society at that time is outlined as follows. First, Kee Heung-soo, the owner of the house and Lee Kyu-bo, the author of Toesikje Palryeng(退食齋八詠) are thought to be those who first designated the 8 scenic points and recreated the concept of public enjoyment of into the concept of personal enjoyment in Korea. Second, the spatial configuration of the Toesikje garden is presumed to be in the Gee-Seung-Jeon-Gyul(introduction-development-turn-conclusion) style in which a fairyland is built to enjoy a free and peaceful life, while anticipating coming days and pursuing creation-prosperity-transcendence-return. Third, the viewpoint structure of the scenery Wongyeong(Toesikje), Donggyeong(Youngcheondong), Cheonggyeong(Cheokseojung), Myunggyeong(Dokrakwon), Jingyeong(Yeonmukdang), Sigyeong(Yeoneuiji), Yunggyeong(Nokgunheon), and Hyungyeong(Daehoseok) contains a symbolic universal vision of Palchejigyeongsek(the 8 scenic points) which incorporates Samwon(heaven, earth and water) and Obangwi(orientations), and the harmonization principle of the scenic points where the building and garden are harmonized. Fourth, Je, Dang, and Heon, Jeong(齋, 堂, 軒, 亭) are introduced to the garden, and Geehwayeecho, Jingeumgeesoo, Gasan and Goeseok(stone) were used in a variety of ways. Fifth, it was found that the management of Shinseongyeong and enjoyment of Yoosanggoksu events, with the study and seeking of perfect knowledge and discipline, wandering and rest led to a sublime appreciation of aesthetic beauty and divine glory. Sixth, a miniature garden was built to enjoy the view from above, together with the view in the distance, and a culture of secluded living, along with scenery expressing the heart's desire for Utopia was induced.

  • 물류산업은 세계의 모든 정부 및 국가기관에 의하여 최고로 인식되고 있는 전략적이고 경제적 이윤추구의 전 세계에 걸친 거대한 산업이다. 싱가포르는 물류산업이 가장 발달하고 최고로 바쁜 항만을 갖고 있는 국가 중의 하나이다. 싱가포르의 강점은 아시아에서 훌륭한 문화여건, 금융과 상업적인 클러스터, 통신 및 운송의 연결성을 가지고 있는 가장 세계화된 도시라는 점이다. 싱가포르는 우수한 물리적인 산업기반 시설의 장점에 의하여 자유경쟁의 이득을 향유하고 있다. 그렇지만 이러한 것들만으로는 싱가포르가 우리들의 경쟁자로서 앞서 있다고 확신하기에는 충분하질 않다. 싱가포르는 적은인구와 지지배후지의 부족 등으로 도전에 직면하고 있어서 배후지를 다른 국가로 이전하고 있다. 싱가포르는 세계 경제 속에서의 국제화 중심이 되거나, 남동아시아 성장에 참여하고 배후지의 결속을 증가시키는 선택을 해야 될 것이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 싱가포르 물류산업의 전략적 발전을 분석하기 위하여 수리통계학적 방법을 적용하였다.

Managerial Share Ownership and Capital Structure: Evidence from Panel Data (소유경영자지분율과 자본구조: 외환위기 이후기간 패널자료분석)

  • The agency relationship between managers and shareholders has the potential to influence decision-making in the firm which in turn potentially impacts on firm characteristics such as value and leverage. Using an agency framework, we examine the relation between ownership structure and capital structure during post-IMF period. We used the balanced panel data for 378 korean listed companies during the 1999-2005. The panel data sets consist of time-series observation on each of 378 cross-sectional units. The results indicate a non-linear U-shaped relation between the level of managerial share ownership and leverage with the relation reaching a minimum at 58.48 per cent of management share ownership. As managerial share ownership increase from a low level, managers have incentive to reduce the debt level for decreasing the financial risk, resulting in a lower lever of debt. However, when corporate managers hold a significant proportion of a firm's shares, managers have incentive to increase the debt level for leverage effects, resulting in a higher lever of debt.
