This paper examines the characteristics and determinants of welfare attitudes in Korea. Based on Survey data, this study focuses mainly on how social-economic position variables, welfare status and welfare compliances influence attitudes towards welfare. Welfare attitudes can be classified by five areas as follows: legitimacy of welfare functions, affordability of welfare costs, need-based welfare principles, responsibility of welfare provision and adequacy of welfare spending. There are the major findings. First, attitudes towards welfare is identified state-friendly or pro-welfare attitudes. Second, among the social-economic position variables, welfare status and welfare norms variables, welfare compliance has statistically the most significant effects on welfare attitudes. Third, the level of pro-welfare attitudes is largely determined by welfare norms and images espoused by individuals. These findings suggest that we can not apply cleavages thesis which are developed by studies on the support for welfare state.

This paper examines why Japan's nation branding strategy is not working in South Korea in spite of expanding relations between Korea and Japan. Japan has successfully managed its national reputation, which altered its image around the world. However, Japan's nation-image in South Korea has not kept up with its efforts internationally. Political and economic interactions between Korea and Japan have increased throughout the past decades since the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1965. Also, the normalization of cultural-social relations emerged after the Korean government policy restricting Japanese popular culture was removed in the 1990s and overseas travel was liberalized in 1989. In spite of the improvement in politico-cultural-social relations, trust-building efforts still stagnate between the two countries. This paper discusses the reasons behind this phenomenon and provides some suggestions to solve this issue.

The block chain technology is a technique that prevents manipulation of data and ensures integrity and reliability. Ethereum is building a smart contract environment as a type of encryptionenabled system based on block chains. Smart contracts can be implemented when conditions are met, thus increasing confidence in digital data. However, smart contracts that are being tried in various ways are not covered by information security and personal information protection. The structure in which the network participant can view the open transaction ledger is exposed to data or personal information listed in the block chain. In this study, it is possible to manage the data of personal information recorded in the block chain directly. This study is protected personal information by preventing the exposure of personal information and by executing time code, it is possible to erase recorded information after a certain period of time has elapsed. Based on the proposed system in the future, it is necessary to study the additional management techniques of unknown code defects or personal information protection.

This essay focused on mapping out the next archiving model during 15 years. This metaphorical 'JINGU PROJECT' is titled from Shinto relation in Japan rebuilding every 20 years. We need some kinds of self sustainable growth archiving model. It means that it's time to say about our archiving experiences in field for archiving technics and knowledges. We should know the fact that a few thousands archivists have been acting ih fields. Since 1999, we have tried to build up the best practices in public offices. So far, So good. However, we need another wing for better flying from now on. I believe in the power of silences in field because they will speak up their voices.

This paper aimed at examining studies on the Book of Odes of Weng fang-gang(翁方綱), a scholar who lived during Qianjia(乾嘉) period in the Qing(淸) Dynasty. In study on the Book of Odes, he had confidence in interpretation of Shixu(詩 序) and Maozhuan(毛傳), laid emphasis on long interpretation and opposed a tendency to be dubious of Confucian classics, showing a tendency of hanxue(漢 學), and he also showed a tendency of songxue(宋學) by criticizing a problem of Zheng xuan(鄭玄) & Kong ying-da(孔穎達) and taking a positive position toward Shijizhuan(詩集傳) of Zhu xi(朱熹). So to speak, Weng fang-gang can be considered to be a scholar who appropriately adopted and used the study method of hanxue(漢學) and songxue(宋學) in studying the Book of Odes.

The future of human life is expected to be innovative by increasing social, economic, political and personal, including all areas of life across the multi-disciplinary skills. Particularly, in the field of robotics and next-generation games with robots, by multidisciplinary contributions and interaction, convergence between technology is expected to accelerate more and more. The purpose of this study is that by new interface model beyond the technical limitations of the "human-robot interface technology," until now and time and spatial constraints and through fusion of various modalities which existing human-robot interface technologies can't have, the research of more reliable and easy free "human-robot interface technology". This is the research of robot game system which develop and utilizing real time synchronization engine linking between biped humanoid robot and the behavior of the position value of mobile device screen's 3D content (contents), robot (virtual robots), the wireless protocol for sending and receiving (Protocol) mutual information and development of a teaching program of "Direct Teaching & Play" by the study for effective teaching.

This study examined factors that prevent older adults from using computers and/or smartphones for their health information search and health management. This study conducted face-to-face survey of a total of 240 older adults aged over 65. Based on the responses of open-ended questions, this study conducted semantic network analysis. The results showed that low level of perceived usefulness(PU) (e.g., information I want to find, detailed information, and trustworthiness) and perceived ease of use(PEOU) (e.g., how to search for information, how to install applications, and visibility) are main factors that prevent older adults from using computers and/or smartphones for their health information search and health management. Furthermore, based on the results of semantic network analysis, further hierarchical regression analysis confirmed that PU and PEOU were positively associated with intention to use mobile application. Thus, the results imply that increasing older adults' PU and PEOU can promote their intention to use mobile application.

Recently, South Korean newspapers began trying to charge for online news. This study attempts to shed light on the factors that influence payment for online news by analyzing Korea Press Foundation's 2022 Media Audience Survey (N = 58,936). The results of this study showed a steady increase in past payment and paying intent for online news since 2020. Predictors of past payment for online news included gender, age, and education, and interest in political and social issues. News use through specific media (i.e., newspapers, magazines, portals, messengers, social media, video sites, and podcasts), as well as mobile applications and e-mail newsletters, were found to contribute to paid subscriptions. Based on the findings of the study, news organizations should prepare to offer differentiated news content through their own news platforms and establish concrete plans to build trust in news.

In this paper, we propose a study applying the Delphi technique to domestic blockchain experts to determine urgent and pivotal conditions for NFT proliferation. We examine these conditions from a PEST (Political, Economic, Social, and Technological Analysis of the Macro Environment) perspective, as well as the functions of digital assets (measurement, storage, and exchange). Through two rounds of expert surveys on the seven NFT perspectives, we identify 6 activating factors that can help guide future policy-making for the NFT market. These factors have broad implications for the development of new industries using blockchain technology and tokens. The Delphi method employed in this study is a group discussion technique that gathers opinions from experts anonymously through two rounds and to address drawbacks related to expert selection bias and opinion alignment, additional opinion collection and review of projections were conducted in each round.

Wetland provides various environmental services as well as marketable goods to human society. This paper presents a meta-analysis of the wetland valuation studies conducted in Korea during the past decade. Meta-analysis is a technique of summarizing research results from the separate but related studies using statistical methods. The objectives of the paper is to identify the main factors affecting the wetland values and to examine the applicability of meta-regression analysis for summarizing the information from valuation studies of natural ecosystem. The total of 64 observations from 24 studies are assembled, and we observe significant differences in wetland values depending on the characteristics of the studies. With the statistical significance, our results indicate that the method employed affects the wetland values while the wetland function evaluated affects little. In addition, we found that the size of wetland is negatively associated with the values, implying that wetland values exhibit the decreasing returns to scale. The evidences from our empirical analysis suggest that the meta-analysis has a potential as a tool to synthesize the research results from valuation studies and to provide useful information to policy makers. However, this study acknowledges that more effort should be dedicated toward the construction of DB on valuation studies as well as the research on the model improvement to enhance the validity and reliability of meta-analysis.
