  • Since the outsourcing logistics business has been an emerging opportunities for many new service providers entering into such an ever-changing technology, knowledge and logistics market, it has resulted into a price-sensitive and high competition industry. In order to sharpen the global competitive power of the information-contents business in this severe environment, this research is engaged in meeting the following purposes: 1. well position the outsourcing logistics services in the logistics business industry 2. articulate the business model to compete in the outsourcing logistics services market, Information-contents industry. 3. propose a competitive strategy for a outsourcing logistics services provider to grow the information-contents business. This research report could also serve as a framework for the other logistics and the outsourcing services companies to plan out their competitive strategies of information-contents industry. For new comers to join the same market, it will be also helpful in positioning their services and making business decisions in a holistic view.

  • Spatial information has influenced government policy formation, business strategy implementation, and our everyday life enormously. Digital earth enterprises providing global spatial data services emerge as spatial data industry grows rapidly. So it is highly desirable to grasp recent trends in the industry and find critical success factors (CSFs) for the digital earth firms. The purpose of this study is to compare strategies of digital earth enterprises and find CSFs for them. In addition, strategy analysis framework elaborations, systematic analysis of spatial data industry and market segmentation based on value chain are also performed to trace and cope with the volatile industry environment. Derived CSFs are as follows. First, acquisition of differentiated high quality spatial data is needed. Second, customer oriented convergent contents should be developed. Third, advanced platform functionalities must be provided to consumers. Finally, construction of efficient and effective global value chain is desirable.

  • 공간정보산업의 분석은 전통적으로 산업가치사슬 분석방법에 기초해 수행되어 왔으나 가치사슬 접근방법의 난점으로 이에 근거한 기업 전략과 정부정책의 성과가 미미한 실정이다. 최근 다양한 분야에서 전통적인 산업분석의 틀을 벗어나 기업생태계와 플랫폼의 개념을 이용해 기업 및 산업 활동을 조망하려는 시도가 활발하다. 본 연구의 목적은 동태적 혁신이론에 기반하여 생태계내 구성주체들과 플랫폼이 공진화하면서 공간정보생태계가 형성되고 발전하는 과정을 표현할 수 있는 단계적 진화 모델을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 바탕으로 공간정보생태계 조성을 위한 기업의 전략과 정부 정책 수립에 주는 시사점을 도출하였다.

  • This paper derives the evaluation indicators relating to the mechanism and success factors of culture industrial cluster from the successful cases of culture industry in foreign countries and provides policy implications for the successful construction of culture industrial cluster by comparing with the survey of Gwang-Ju city's culture content companies. This paper shows that policy implications are linkage by leading firm of successful companies, securing huge hinterlands nearby metro city, cultivating of creative talented persons, operating of capital funds, promoting main force business(game, animation, mobile)-oriented culture industry, positive vitalization of network, role strengthening of city or Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency as vision provider, and aggressive granting of incentives for attracting companies.

  • The advance of IT brings various IT equipment which functions as creation, application, and distribution of digital contents, and its demand is increased in the market. As the world IT equipment market has grew steadily, some companies think of it as a good opportunity. But there is a entry barrier like IT Capabilities to the late movers. So some participate in the market, forming the technology alliance with a advanced company. Ironically, the market system set companies' partnership into rivalry. In this context, our study focused on strengthening late mover's competitiveness under the technology alliance. And we conducted the case study concerning the technology alliance, and showed a strategical implications. As a result, we found some challenges for late mover; price policy making by scientific demanding forecasting, preparatory research and management for brand identity and efficient contact points for customer management. We hope that results of the study will influence the development of digital contents industry.

  • With transition to Knowledge society and introduction of information industry, there are many companies which have higher stock price than the suggested value from its financial information. To explain similar cases in capital markets, many researchers focus on non-financial information such as Web Traffic data or intangible assets such as intellectual property rights rather than traditional financial analysis. Besides, the relationships between financial and non-financial information with firm value are changed according to industry lifecycle. As Industry grows, financial information of company is more important for firm valuation in Capital market. We'd like to review the changes of relationships between financial information and firm valuation in Capital market especially for "Software", "Digital Contents", and "Internet" companies listed in Kosdaq market during 2000~2011. The result of data analysis shows the financial information gets more important after 2007. Inversely, it provides analytical bases that related industry gets mature. Also we show that intangible properties are more relevant to stock price of those technical based companies than others.
