The Relationship between Children's Information Processing and Basic Learning Abilities (유아의 정보처리능력과 기초학습능력 간 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between children's information processing ability and basic learning abilities. To collect the data, two tests were given to 99 children. The Korean K-ABC(Moon & Byun, 1997) and Pictorial Basic Learning Abilities for Children(Kim, 2011) were used to examine the relationship between children's information processing and basic learning abilities. The collected data were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. According to the results of this study, there was a significant positive correlation between information processing(sequential processing, simultaneous processing) and basic learning abilities including reading, writing, and basic mathematics. And information processing significantly affected basic learning abilities. Namely, simultaneous processing explained 22% of basic learning abilities and by adding sequential processing, the explanation was increased to 25%. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest various implications about children's basic learning abilities. These implications will help teachers and parents to understand their children's learning.

  • 생물학적 뇌 정보처리 메커니즘을 보다 정확하게 구현할 수 있는 시스템은 입력에 대한 정확한 인지 능력, 상황 판단 능력, 학습 및 추론 능력, 출력의 결정 능력 등의 성능 구현은 물론이며, 감정과 비교될 수 있는 시스템의 상태를 평가하여 판단 및 결정에 적용함으로써 매우 뛰어난 지능형 시스템이 될 수 있다. 공학적인 의미에서 살펴본다면 정보 처리 과정을 입력의 처리, 정보의 전달, 제어 입력의 결정에 대한 의미로 정의할 수 있지만 생물학적으로 입력을 분석하고 정보를 처리 및 전달하며 출력을 제어하는 모델인 두뇌의 정보처리 메커니즘에 비교한다면 현재의 공학적인 정보처리 방식 및 제어기의 성능은 극히 미약한 수준이라고 할 수 있다. 이런 이유에서 최근 많은 공학자들은 생물학적인 뇌의 정보처리 개념에 대한 규명을 시도하고 있으며, 실제 공학적인 모델로 개발하여 설명하고 구현하는 연구를 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 생물학적인 두뇌의 정보처리 메커니즘을 해석하고 공학적인 개념의 정립과 정보처리 흐름을 규명하고 정의함으로써 출력에 반영할 수 있는 모듈을 설계하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 모듈은 공학적인 분야는 물론 생물학적 뇌 연구에도 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 최근 운전자 행동에 대한 연구 방법으로 매우 중요하게 대두되고 있는 운전 시뮬레이션 방법을 이용하여 운전자들이 보이는 기본적인 운전 수행 능력 및 이러한 운전 수행 능력과 관련이 가장 깊은 것으로 기존의 연구들이 밝혀왔던 기본적인 지각적/인지적/운동적 수행 능력을 측정하여 운전자 수행을 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 운전자의 운전 수행 및 운전과 관련된 기본적인 정신/운동 수행 능력은 정보 처리적 관점에서 측정되고 분석되었으며, 이를 통해 운전자들이 보이는 기본적인 정보처리 능력의 패턴에 대한 전반적 이해를 시도하였다. 본 연구에서는 기본적인 운전 수행 능력을 평가하는데 사용되는 차량의 속도 유지와 차선 유지에 대한 측정치와 더불어 운전과 관련한 인간 수행 중에서 단순 반응 능력, 선택 반응 능력, 속도 추정 능력, 청각적 주의나 시각적 주의의 분산 능력 등이 운전 시뮬레이션을 통하여 운전 중에 실시간으로 측정되었다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 운전자들의 실제 운전 수행 및 이와 관련된 정보 처리 활동에 대한 표준화된 준거를 제시하는데 기초적 자료로 사용될 수 있으리라 생각된다.

  • It is important to understand how we can deal with doements for the modeling of neural networks when we are unbestigating the dynamical performance and the information procoessing capabilitids.The information procewssing capabkities of model neural networks will change for different response, synaptic weights or learning rules. Using the staritical neurodyamics method, we evalute the capabikities of neural networks in order to understand the basic conept ofr parallel distributed processing. In this paper, we explain the reuslts of theoretical anaysis of the effests of the hysteretic property on the performance of wuquential associative neral networks.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the mathematics competencies required in middle school Korean language class to find out ways to improve student's debate ability. The results of the analysis showed that creativity and information processing ability in research activities; problem solving ability, creativity, information processing ability in planning activities; reasoning and creativity, information processing ability in rebutting activities; problem solving and reasoning in summary activities. In cross-inquiry activities, problem solving and reasoning, information processing, and creativity are required; creativity in final focus; problem solving and reasoning ability in judgment and general review; preparation time activities require problem solving, reasoning, and information processing ability. Therefore, in order to improve the debate ability of the students, it is required that the mathematics competencies such as problem solving, reasoning, information processing, and creativity are increased.

  • This paper recommends the use of information processing models for student's information literacy education. The author mantions that the proper use of an information processing model help enhance students' self-study, creativity, and academic attainment as psychological tools. An information processing model helps also students reach the Information literacy standards set by AASL and AECT. The author attempts to show the important linkage between the practical application of information technologies during the use of an information processing model and the attainment of the Information literacy standards.

  • 현존하는 정보처리 시스템 중에서 가장 뛰어난 성능을 지니고 있는 것은 인간의 두뇌라고 할 수 있다. 두뇌의 정보처리 메커니즘을 보다 정확하게 구현할 수 있는 시스템은 입력에 대한 정확한 인지 능력, 상황 판단 능력, 학습 및 추론 능력, 출력의 결정 능력 등의 성능 구현은 물론이며, 감정과 비교될 수 있는 시스템의 상태를 평가하여 판단 및 결정에 적용함으로써 매우 뛰어난 지능형 시스템이 쥘 수 있다. 이러한 뇌 정보처리 시스템의 구현에 앞서 본 논문에서는 생물학적인 대뇌 피질의 구조를 살피고 정보의 처리 영역을 고찰하고 정보의 흐름을 소개하였으며 이를 바탕으로 뇌 정보처리 메커니즘을 공학적인 측면에서 해석해 보았다. 특히, 뇌 영역의 기능 및 구조적인 특징, 정보의 처리과정 등을 공학적으로 해석하였으며 이는 뇌의 기능을 모방한 공학적인 모델을 구현하는데 있어서 기초가 될 것이다.

  • This study examined an instruction method for the improvement of information processing abilities in elementary school students. Current elementary students are required to develop information processing abilities to create new knowledge from this information flooded age; however, there is a shortage of instruction strategies for these information processing abilities. This research proposes a method for information processing ability based Barrow's problem-based learning model, and was applied to real elementary students. Students developed an improved ability to create new knowledge and to present relationships with information through the process of problem solving. This study performed experimental research by comparing pre- and post-tests for twenty-three fifth grade elementary students over the course of eight months. This study produced a remarkable improvement in information selection, information reliability, information classification, information analysis, information comparison, and information internalization.

  • As job market squeezes and more institutions have been requiring NCS(National Competency Standards) based recruitment, the importance of NCS has been growing. Among the 10 domains of NCS, the most relevant one with task processing and organizational performance filed is 'task processing capability group', which is becoming more important with the advent of the fourth industrial revolution era. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of college students' task processing capability group on their career outcome expectation and career preparation behavior. In this study, we set up a process model to comprehend the effect of college students' task processing capability group on career outcome expectation and career preparation behavior based on social cognitive career theory. Empirical analysis showed that task processing capability group(problem-solving capability, information capability, resource management capability, organizational capability) positively influenced college students' career outcome expectation and career preparation behavior for employment. However, the impact of technical capability on career outcome expectation and career preparation behavior was not explained. In order to strengthen the task processing capability group of college students, not only university-level efforts, but also college and faculty's efforts should be accompanied. Other academic and practical implications are discussed.
