공공도서관과 학교도서관이 긴밀한 연관성을 유지하면서 그들의 모든 시설, 자료, 인력 등을 서로 나누어 활용하는 상호협력활동은 양질의 봉사프로그램을 제공할 수 있고 조화로운 공동목표를 성취할 수 있다. 사서들의 상호협력에 대한 인식조사결과 상당히 긍정적이며 지역사회에 지도력을 발휘하고자 하는 태도를 가지고 있다. 양 도서관의 지리적인 문제는 분관설치나 이동도서관의 증설 등으로 해결할 것을 제시하였고 재교육의 기회를 활용하여 협력봉사를 위한 자질을 증진시키는 방향도 제시하였다.

Upon completion of this study it became evident that users are more satisfied with information service with systematic arrangement, accessibility, updatedness, and abundance of information in the Scientific & Technical Library as well as skillfullness of librarians with academic background in the Library and Information Science. It is suggested that the Scientific & Technical Library carry out their missions on information networks with outside organizations using database systems.

This study suggested the necessity of efficient volunteer management plan and continuous volunteer expansion plan to enhance the continuity of volunteer activity by local government and induce more systematic and stable volunteer activity. As a prior concrete plans for volunteer expansion, this study suggested establishing the incentive for expanding continuous volunteers through coexisting and cooperation, enhancing the propulsion will and providing an institutional strategy of local and metropolitan government heads, improving volunteer's internal capability, and reinforcing administrative support and financial aid. Also this study emphasized the effectiveness of various volunteer-related matters such as daring support and investment to drastically expand continuous volunteers and their activities.

This paper aims at identifying the problems in the services for research of academic libraries. For this purpose, research functions of academic libraries and the requirements for them are identified. The hypothesis to be verified is that the service environments of academic libraries have not been coping properly with the changing needs of research activities. The statistics on budgets, staff and services of academic libraries in Korea are compared with those in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. It is concluded that the environments of academic libraries have not met the changing needs of research environments. Based on the conclusion, some suggestions are provided.

In the Digital Transformation infrastructure at the addition to research on mental health such as depression and well-being, research on middle-aged health requires a study consisting of specific measures of cognitive health. This study used social, mental, and physical cognitive health as a sub-domain of cognitive health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the positive effects of volunteer activities on cognitive health for middle-aged women. The questionnaire survey was conducted on middle-aged women aged 40 to 59, focusing on the question "How well does cognitive health work for middle-aged women through volunteer activities?" The goal of this study is to examine the effect of volunteer activities on the cognitive health of middle-aged women and to analyze the meaning and influencing factors of volunteer activities needed to maintain the desirable life of middle-aged women and the healthy life of the elderly. The necessity to diversify and activate volunteer activities of middle-aged women was proved through the survey.

이 연구는 디지털 정보환경에서의 기업체 정보서비스 방법을 모색하는 것이다. 기업체 정보서비스의 이론과 실제를 알아보기 위하여 최근 국내에서 수행된 기업체 정보서비스에 관한 문헌을 조사 분석하고, 기업체에서 채택하고 있는 지식관리시스템을 고찰한다. 인터넷을 비롯한 정보테크놀러지의 이용이 많아지고 있는 정보환경에서 산업기술정보원, 산업지원기관들의 기업체에 대한 정보서비스 방식이 어떻게 변하고 있는지를 알아본다. 메일링리스트에 올라온 개별 기업체의 정보요구를 조사하고 기업체를 위한 정보서비스 방향을 제시한다.

IFLA(국제도서관협회연맹)의 어린이/청소년 도서관분과(Libraries for Children and Young Adults Section)는 전세계의 어린이 및 청소년을 위한 도서관 발전에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 평생학습의 중요성, 어린이의 독서, 그들의 정보를 제공받을 권리에 대한 인식을 고양시키고 있다. The purpose of this study to provide implications for improvement of Korean voluntary sector, by analyzing of program managers' subjective evaluation of voluntary program management and of their view of the needs for outside supports. For this, researchers selected 600 agencies, which are found to have a staff in charge of voluntary programs, and sent a questionnaire by mail. Those agencies are consisted of the following three. areas: social services, civil movement, public sector. The response rate was 65%, and researchers analyzed 382 respondents out of 391, besides those who did not complete the form in full. One of the results was that program managers' subjective evaluation score of overall voluntary program management was 51 points in the perfect score of 100 points. The voluntary program management was consisted of the following six areas: recruiting, job placement, public relations, education(training), program development, and. information system Specifically, program development and information system appeared to be worse than the other areas, and this fact was true in all three types of agencies of social services, civil movements, and public sector. Moreover, program managers in public sector showed that outside supports for voluntary programs (or activities) was more desperately required. Based on the results, researchers concluded that, toward the improvement of voluntary programs, professionalization as well as legal supporting system, networking, and national supporting institution were required.

This research is to make clear the volunteer activity system through analysing activity of volunteers. Main suggestions are as below. In management system, integrated cooperating system, improvement of delivering system of relief goods and developing operating manual of volunteering management are discussed. In education system, specialized education for different disaster areas, field orientation education, and training managerial positions are suggested. In supporting system, improving NDMS(National Disaster Management System), computerized program for volunteer management, insurance for volunteers, issuing a confirmation of volunteering activity, securement of emergency communication system, budget for prevention and donation are also suggested.

Discussion on the use of the library service should be based on both theoretical research and practical experiences. To increase the usage level of digital reference services in Korea, various aspects of the promotion, including latent user profile, publicity, site accessibility, and evaluation are examined, based on the previous research and overseas successful approaches. Results revealed useful information for planning and implementation.
