A serious disturbance of the 7.7 DDoS hacking gets a chance of raised awareness for importance of response countermeasure with current status of information security. In the recent field, cybersecuriyt has become one of the critical areas in the information technology field, and demands for cyberseucirty professionals have been increasing tremendously. However, there is In the recent past, cybersecurity has become one of the critical areas in the Information Technology (IT) field, and demands for cybersecurity professionals have been increasing tremendously. However, there is a shortfall in the qualified cybersecurity workforce which is a factor that contributes to the vulnerability of society to various cyber threats. Our study articulates a model to explain career selection behavior in the cybersecurity field. The study explored factors that affect scholars' behavioral intention to pursue a cybersecurity career. Positive outcome expectations from a cybersecurity career as well as high self-efficacy about skills and knowledge about cybersecurity have a strong impact on the scholars' cybersecurity career decisions. Further, perceived usefulness of the cybersecurity curriculum has a positive effect on the scholars' career decisions. The results of this research have implications for retaining a qualified workforce in the computer and information security fields.

Today, as a daily routine such as administration/finance is operated under information system and various cyber crime against national, public, and private institutions happen, demand for information security manpower is increasing. Hence, Ministry of Education has formed an Institute of Information Security Education for the Gifted to early discover talent in the field of information security and train professional personnel with specialty and ethics in 4 universities of country in 2014. But the nascent Institute of Information Security Education for the Gifted lack systematic analyses compared to Institute of Mathematics and Science Education for the Gifted that has existed from a long time ago. In this paper, we analyze the state of the Institute of Information Security Education for the Gifted in three parts: operation, selection, education and suggest an improvement to build a practical program for effective operations and education.

Demand for information security consulting is increasing as the number of major information infrastructure facilities in the country is increasing and the subject of ISMS mandatory certification is expanded. The demand for manpower also increases, but the manpower to meet the needs of industry is scarce. In order to cultivate the manpower that meets the demand, the demand of the industry should be grasped first. Therefore, this study collected and analyzed job advertisements in Korea and the United States in order to grasp the needs of industry. This will contribute to the development of policy to cultivate human resources of consultants in accordance with the future demand of the enterprise, and ultimately it will be able to solve the quality disparity of security consulting personnel.

20세기 이후 대한민국의 중소기업은 큰 성장률을 보인 반면, 정보보안의 중요성에 대한 인식은 크게 개선되지 않아 중소기업에서 이용하는 시스템에 많은 취약점이 존재한다. 이와 같은 취약점을 악용한 해커들의 다양한 자동화 공격 툴로 인해 보안 사고가 꾸준히 증가하는 추세이다. 그러나 중소기업의 특성 상 부족한 예산과 보안 인력의 부재로 실질적인 대응이 어려운 상황이다. 이 프로젝트는 이러한 예산 및 보안 인력의 부재에도 중소기업에서 사용 가능한 보안 솔루션 개발을 목적으로 한다.

Information Security Incidents that have recently happen rapidly spread and the scale of that incidents' damage is large. In addition, as it proceeds to the era of converged industry in the future environment and the virtual cyber world expands to the physical world, new types of security threats have occurred. Now, it is time to supply security professionals who have a multi-dimensional security capabilities that can manage the strategies of technological security and physical security from the management point of view, rather than the ones who primarily focus on the traditional technologic-centered strategies to solve new types of security threats. In conclusion, in this paper we try to produce the curriculum of information security featured in the occupational classification system and analyze the subjects that are additionally required for those who move to other occupations to cultivate security professionals who suited to the converged-industrial environment. It is expected that multi-dimensional security professionals who suited to the converged-industrial environment will be cultivated by harmoniously integrating information security subjects from technological and business/managerial perspectives, and education training courses will be developed that effectively provide core knowledges per occupational classification when people moves to other occupations in the areas of information security.

These days cyber attacks are increasing all over the world, and the national critical infrastructure and information network protection has become important. For this reason, the concentrated investment in information security and development of professional human resource are essential, but there is a shortage of information security workforce in Korea. Currently, departments of information security in domestic universities make efforts to develop human resource of information security and have a increasing interest in the curriculum design. So this paper investigates the curriculums of information security in domestic universities and graduate schools. And then, it compares with the needs of industry knowledge and skills by using SPSS. Through this analysis, we will get implications about curriculum design of Information security.

This study aims at the development of new curricula for information security department at colleges. For this purpose, the curricula for information security of the seven colleges in Korea were first examined. Then, questionnaires from the fifteen information security companies and professors were put into place. With these results, a new curricula for the information security department was developed. A curriculum that developed in this study will also provide changes and improvements for the future curricula of information suity department at colleges in Korea.

As a sufficient workforce supports the industry's growth, workforce training has also been carried out as part of the industry promotion policy. However, the market still has a shortage of skilled mid-level workers. The information security disclosure requires organizations to secure personnel responsible for information security work. Still, the division between information technology work and job areas is unclear, and the pay is not high for responsibility. This paper compares job keywords in advertisements for the information security workforce for 2014, 2019, and 2022. There is no difference in the keywords describing the job duties of information security personnel in the three years, such as implementation, operation, technical support, network, and security solution. To identify the actual needs of companies, we also analyzed and compared the contents of job advertisements posted on online recruitment sites with information security sector knowledge and skills defined by the National Competence Standards used for comprehensive vocational training. It was found that technical skills such as technology development, network, and operating system are preferred in the actual workplace. In contrast, managerial skills such as the legal system and certification systems are prioritized in vocational training.
