  • Recently, it has been pointed out that the lack of professional ethics of computer and security experts is serious as college students majoring in information security and insiders who are in charge of security work are involved in crimes after being tempted to cyber crimes. In this paper, we investigate and analyze the security ethics awareness and education situation of college students majoring in information security, and examine the security ethics education method for human resource development with personality and qualities. As the information society becomes more widespread, the ethics and occupational consciousness of the university students who are majoring in information security are recognized as lack of awareness and education about security ethics, As a solution to solve these problems, it is expected that it will be possible to nurture security experts who are aware of their vocation through the educational plan to enhance the security ethics of the information security major college students. According to the security ethics education system proposed in the paper, the security ethical consciousness of the group that received education was remarkably improved.

  • In the past, organizations tended to focus on physical and technical aspects of managing corporate's information security (IS), rather than the aspect of human resources related to IS. Recently, increasing security incidents caused by organization members raise the issue of how to improve employees' compliance with security policies. This study conducted a field experiment to examine the effect of security awareness training and technical security services on employee's security behaviors. In Study 1, the number of spam opening cases were measured right after the IS training and re-measured three months later. In Study 2, a spam warning message was provided and then the number of employees' spam opening cases were counted to find out the effect of security services. It was found that both the IS training and the technical IS service were effective; they significantly decreased spam opening rates. However, the training effect did not last longer than three months. These findings suggest that organizations need to consider providing regular training programs and supplementary technical services to improve employees' compliance with security policies.

  • Recently, the importance of the role of the university information security department in nurturing security experts to defend against cyber attacks is increasing day by day. The current university security curriculum has a problem in that the proportion of theoretical education is high and the professionalism of practical education is relatively low. This study analyzed the recent educational programs of domestic and foreign security education institutions for the purpose of improving the practical ability of the Department of Security, designing a class model suitable for the core specialization process, and suggesting the direction. The proposed model improves the existing problems of basic class connection and security practice curriculum roadmap, and additionally explains the practice program of the five core specialized subjects. This study intends to contribute to the improvement of the quality of the curriculum and educational model of each university's security department.

  • Although various information and communication technologies occupy a place in daily life in the face of the fourth industrial revolution, the contents related to information security in elementary and secondary education courses are mainly related to personal information protection, and the contents and countermeasures of rapidly changing security threats are low in textbooks, and they are far behind the changes. To improve this, this paper suggests that education contents related to information security are included in elementary school real and middle school information textbooks, educational contents related to wireless network and PC security are included to cope with rapidly changing security threats that may arise from the age of the Internet of Things, non-face-to-face classes, and case-based information ethics education can be organized to eradicate curiosity about hacking. Through this paper, we will help prevent information security accidents by establishing basic security measures on our own and strengthening security awareness in the information age.
