Textbook design for developing computational thinking based on pattern analysis (패턴 분석을 통한 인공지능 기반 컴퓨팅 사고력 계발을 위한 교재 설계)

  • In line with the modern society where artificial intelligence has spread throughout society, the Ministry of Education decided to provide AI education in kindergartens, elementary, middle and high school classes in 2025, and develop related learning materials and textbooks from 2021. Korea currently does not have state-led AI education for kindergarten and elementary school, so there is no systematic teaching material. Therefore, this study designed and presented textbooks for pattern analysis-based computational thinking development based on the GPS curriculum, a kindergarten SW curriculum studied by Y. S. Jeong and S. E. Lim (2020). Class procedures for using the textbooks were classified as introduction activities, development activities, and organization activities. Supplementary explanations were presented by presenting textbooks and teaching aids along with explanations of each activity. In order for this study to help AI education conducted in 2025, research must be conducted to demonstrate its effectiveness through actual application in the future.

  • 오늘날 IT의 급속한 진보는 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 단순한 자원이나 노동력보다는 첨단과학기술을 이용하여 얼마나 의미 있는 정보를 찾아내고 활용하는가에 따라 개인의 경쟁력이 좌우된다. 즉, 개개인의 창의적인 아이디어와 지식, 정보의 생산과 활용이 앞으로의 국가경쟁력을 좌우하게 된다. 이에 따라 교육계에서도 창의적인 능력을 발휘할 수 있는 인간상을 추구하고 있다. 전국의 초 중등학교가 정보인프라 구축으로 컴퓨터를 활용하는 교육이 가능하게 되었다. 비로소 미래사회를 대비하여 정보우수인력을 길러낼 수 있는 여건이 조성된 것이다. 그러나 현재까지 개발된 초등 컴퓨터 교재는 소프트웨어의 활용법을 소개하는 데 그치고 있다. 컴퓨터 교육이 활용교육으로 치우치다 보니 창의력 제한, 자기 주도적 학습 능력 부족 등 여러 가지 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 컴퓨터 활용법에만 두었던 기존의 교육방법을 탈피하여 체계적이고 쉬운 초등 컴퓨터 창의성 교재 개발 연구 방안을 제시하고자 하는데, 특히 컴퓨터 구조, 운영체제, 네트워크 등의 동작 원리를 기반으로 한다.

Evaluating Learner's Fun and Usability for Act-Based Informatics Teaching Material (행위 기반 정보교재의 유용성 및 학습자의 재미 평가)

  • In order to measure students' fun and the effectiveness of teaching materials related to computer science theory, this paper conducted an experiment lesson against middle school students using Timbel's 'Unplugged' textbook. A preliminary test was conducted and it revealed that the students' understanding of computer science theory was extremely poor. The learner's fun for the experimental lesson showed the positive reaction in the viewpoint of expectation, engagement, endurability. In post-test after one month, the students were able to recall most of the materials covered during the experiment lesson. In addition, they all showed sign of good understanding. In conclusion, Timbel's textbook proved effective in increasing students' fun and learning ability related to computer science theory. Furthermore, this paper would like to suggest a new type of Informatics science teaching material that might be essential for future computer science education.

  • 현대사회에서 IT기술이 차지하는 비중이 점점 커짐에 따라 전 세계적으로 IT분야의 인재육성에 관심을 기울인다. 하지만 우리나라의 학교교육과정은 컴퓨터 교과를 배제하고 있으며 그나마 이루어지는 컴퓨터 교육도 컴퓨터의 활용 측면에만 치중되어 있다. IT인재는 컴퓨터 활용 능력만이 아니라 컴퓨터의 기본 원리와 이를 통한 문제해결능력이 함께 강조되어야 하며 이러한 교육은 학교교육과정의 근본인 초등교육에서부터 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터의 기본 원리와 문제해결 능력을 신장을 위한 한국정보올림피아드 초등부 지역예선 교재를 개발하고자 한다.

  • 현재 초등학교에서는 각 학년에 재량활동 시간을 활웅하여 매주 1시간씩 34시간이상을 정보통신기술교육 시간으로 배정하고 있다. 그러나 시대의 변화에 발맞추어 요구되고 있는 창의성과 문제해결력을 키워줄 수 있는 컴퓨터 교재가 개발되어 있지 않아 서 시대에 맞는 정보통신기술교육을 하고 있지 못하다. 그리하여 교육인적자원부가 발표한 정보통신기술교육 운영지침을 분석하여 창의성과 문제해결력을 증진시킬 수 있고 현장에서 쓰일 수 있는 5,6학년용 교재를 개발해 보았다.

Effectiveness Analysis and Development of ICT Electromagnetic Waves Textbooks for Elementary and Secondary Teacher Training Using Action Learning (액션러닝을 활용한 ICT 전파 교육 교원연수 교재개발 및 효과 분석)

  • This paper was described to assess the possibility of field application of the developed textbooks by developing a textbook using action learning to conduct ICT electromagnetic waves training education for elementary and middle school teachers and applying it on a pilot basis. To this end, it was organized to be used in conjunction with classes in several subjects and provided various teaching materials to facilitate teachers' convenience to use the textbook. Also, the textbook was composed of a content structure of 10 sessions. As for the proposed textbook, the overall understanding of ICT electromagnetic waves was improved through pilot application in teacher training, and problem-solving ability, cooperative learning ability, democratic citizenship, and knowledge information processing ability were improved through action learning. It can be said that it contributed to improving the understanding of ICT electromagnetic waves and teachers' competencies.

  • 인공지능(Artificial Intelligence, 이하, AI) 기술의 발달로 각계각층에서 급진적인 변화를 대비하고 있다. 이에 교육부에서도 2022 개정 교육과정 주요사항에 AI 소양을 새로운 기초 소양으로 제시하였다. 이에 초등학생에게 AI 개념 및 원리를 전달하려는 교재가 많이 개발되고 있다. 교재 및 교과서는 교수·학습 과정에서 필수적인 역할을 수행한다. 그리고 교과서의 내용 요소 중 핵심적인 내용을 함축하는 삽화는 글보다 지식 전달에 효율적이다. 보다 일차원적이고 직관적인 삽화를 통하여 초등학생에게 인공지능 지식을 쉽게 전달하기 위하여 기존 교재에 제시된 삽화의 분석이 필수적이라고 판단하였다. 따라서 교육부와 한국과학창의재단에서 출판된 '학교에서 만나는 인공지능 수업(초등학생용)' 2권에 제시된 삽화를 종류 및 역할별로 분류하였다. 삽화의 종류 중 그림과 사진의 비중이 컸고, 자료제공을 하는 과정에서 삽화가 다수 사용되었다. 본 논문을 통하여 인공지능 교재의 삽화에 대한 보충적인 연구가 이루어지길 기대한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a plan to design and utilize effectively useful software program in dealing with Teaching Materials and Tools Management in all infant education institute. This program is called Teaching Materials and Tools Management and it is based on the national kindergarten Curriculum notified by ministry of education. To achieve this goal, all teaching materials should be kept to classify and use easily regardless of their shape, kind, and maker(manufacturer). Teaching materials and tools once used in class should be kept after being repaired, And if it is difficult to repair them, write down detail information about them for any teacher to repair them easily. Teaching materials and tools should classified efficiently after being used and registered to recognize their information at first glance. Teaching materials and tools should be registered with an index to manage curriculum effectively when establishing a year plan.

Analysis of the Questioning Characteristics of Elementary Science Gifted Education Teaching Materials using the Sternberg's View of Successful Intelligence: Focused on Semantic Network Analysis (Sternberg의 성공지능 관점을 적용한 초등 과학영재교육 교재의 발문 특성 분석: 언어네트워크분석을 중심으로)

  • From the perspective of science gifted education, the successful intelligence theory is a means to understand how the gifted education curriculum reflects the characteristics of science gifted students. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the successful intelligence is fully reflected in the teaching materials of two gifted education centers (GECDOE: Gifted Education Center affiliated with District Office of Education, GSEIU: Gifted Science Education Institute attached to University). For this study, we selectively used 143 (GECDOE) and 134 questions (GSEIU) from the teaching materials of two gifted education centers. Those questions is analyzed through the semantic network analysis method. The results are as follow. First, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers are not evenly reflected in the successful intelligence, such as analytical ability, creative ability, and practical ability. Second, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers intensively demands analytical ability for students such as 'identify problem', 'represent and organize information', and 'additional prompts for analytical thinking'. Third, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers are presented to students without linking each frame of successful intelligence to one another. As the gifted students are quick to learn and show a preference for more complex thinking, it is necessary to develop teaching materials to experience the various abilities and promote integrated thinking according to the level of the gifted students. In this respect, this study is expected to be used as useful information for developing teaching materials to support customized education for gifted students.

A Study on the Definition and Method of Information-giving as a Counseling Skill in Counseling Textbooks (상담교재에 나타난 '정보제공'기법의 정의와 방법에 대한 고찰)

  • Information-giving is very important skill in career education and career counseling. The purpose of this study was to analyse the definition and method of information-giving as a important counseling skills in the counseling textbooks. Research questions were as follows: First, what is the definition of information-giving? Second, what are the ways to give the information in counseling? 17 textbooks of counseling were reviewed. The following are the main findings. First, the definition of information-giving was summarized in two ways: (1) the meaning of information (2) the description of information-giving. The results revealed the reason why the definition of information-giving is vague and it is difficult to distinguish from other skills (ex: giving advice, providing interpretation). Second, the main methods of information-giving can be summarized as follows: (1) motivation and timing of information-giving (2) selection criteria of information-giving (3) procedure of information-giving (4) considerations of information-giving. Out of these methods, the textbooks do not provide much reference on 'selection criteria of information-giving and procedure of information-giving. These findings revealed the necessity of empirical study on the information-giving skills.
