Performance Analysis of Double Circular Array Antenna (이중 원형 배열 안테나의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, performance of the double circular array antenna was analyzed, which has sharp directivity with specific direction and is compatible to shape pencil beam. The character of each array geometry which N numbers of isotropic point source is arranged in planar with type of a square, circular and double circular was compared and analyzed. As a result, we fined that double circular geometry was good performance rather than square and circular array geometry in the point of directivity. SLL and HPBW.

Characteristics of Fluid Force Reduction for Two Different Square Prisms in a Tandem Arrangement (직렬배열에 놓인 크기가 다른 정방형주의 유체력 저감특성)

  • The Characteristics of the flowfields of a square prism having a small square prism were investigated by measuring of lift and drag on the square prism and visualizing the flowfield using PIV. The experimental parameters were the width ratios(H/B=0.2~0.6) of small square prisms to the prism width and the gap ratios (G/B=0~3) between the prism and the small square prism. The drag reduction rate of the square prism initially increased and then decreased with the G/B ratio for the same H/B ratio, and increased with the H/B ratio for the same G/B ratio. The maximum drag reduction rate of 98.0% was observed at H/B=0.6 and G/B=1.0. The lift reduction rate of the square prism was not affected by the width and gap ratios; the total average value was approximately 66.5%. In case of a square prism having a small square prism, the stagnation regions were represented in the upstream and downstream sides of the square prism.

  • We have experimentally analyzed the self-radiation impedance of an ultrasonic transducer with a square radiation surface that is used as a vibrator in underwater ultrasonic detection systems. The radiation reactance and the radiation resistance were measured in the range from 1 to 3 of ka that is the product of a wave number and a length of the edge of the square vibrator. By comparing the measured results with those of theoretical calculation of the radiation impedance using a series, we confirmed the validity of the experimental method and experimentally confirmed the variation trend in the radiation impedance of the square radiation surface.

An Experimental Study on the improvement of harbor tranquility by Multi-cylinder piles Structure (다원주 파일군 구조물에 의한 항내 정온도 향상에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In order to control waves in coastal zones effectively, multi-cylinder piles as the economical structures are suggested. A three dimensional hydraulic model experiment was performed to investigate the hydraulic characteristics of the structure. An experimental study was carried out research the effect of wave control and harbor tranquility through the wave height analysis for the existing concrete wave breaker and the structure with acrylic multi-cylinder piles type at the same location. In the results, the effective order of harbor tranquility is shown as the wave breaker > the staggered arrangement of multi-cylinder piles > the regular arrangement of multi-cylinder piles.

  • 본 연구에서는 256(16$\times$16)개의 마이크로폰 정방형 배열에 의한 음향 홀로그래피 시스템을 제작하고, FFT에 의한 음향 홀로그래피법 알고리즘을 이용한 음원 위치 추정에 관하여 기술한다. 본 연구에서 설계한 측정 시스템은 방사된 음들을 동시 수음함으로서 실시간 데이터 처리가 가능하다. 또한 환경 잡음이 존재하는 실음장에서도 계측시간을 단축함과 동시에 고분해능으로 안정하게 음원의 위치를 추정할 수 있다. 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 SYSNOISE에 의한 음장해석과 음향 홀로그래피 알고리즘을 이용하여 마이크로폰 간격 및 측정면 크기, 측정거리의 최적 조건을 구한 후 실음장 측정 실험에 적용하였다. 수치 시뮬레이션과 무향실에서 실험 데이터에 의해 음원 위치를 추정한 결과 유사한 결과를 얻었다.

  • This paper presents the design, fabrication and measured results of the broadband microstrip array with a conical radiation pattern and the circular array composed of six square microstrip antenna elements. Each element antenna has the stacked structure with a parasitic element to achieve a broadband characteristic and a branch line quadrature hybrid is attached to it for the circular polarization. The design procedures and measured results of the scheme for obtaining the conical radiation pattern which is useful for the mobile communication via the satellite. Finally, the performance of the fabricated antenna is measured and compared with the theory.

  • 서로 다른 굴절률을 갖는 유전재료를 주기적으로 배열함으로써 광자금지대(PBG)를 형성시킬 수 있는 2 차원(2D)광자결정배열에 선결함(line defects)을 줌으로써 기존의 평판형광도파로(PLC)와는 다른 개념의 광자결정도파로를 제작할 수 있다. 특히, 광자결정도파로는 급격한 굽힘(bending)에도 저손실의 효과를 갖도록 할 수 있기 때문에 광집적회로에 효과적으로 적용된다. 본 연구에서는 정방형 격자구조의 2차원 광자결정에 대한 광자밴드구조를 구하고 이로부터 추출된 구조매개변수를 이용하여 광자결정도파로를 설계하고 그의 특성을 평가하였다. 특히, 광자결정도파로와 PLC형도파로 특성을 비교하였다. 설계된 광자결정 도파로를 전자빔 및 홀로그래픽 리소그라피를 이용하여 제작, 평가할 것이다.

Acoustic Band Structures in Two-dimensional Phononic Crystals with a Square Lattice in Water (수중에서 정방형 격자를 갖는 2차원 포노닉 크리스탈의 음향 밴드 구조)

  • Phononic crystals are composite materials consisting of a periodic arrangement of scattering inclusions in a host material. One of the most important properties of phononic crystals is the existence of band gaps, i.e., ranges of frequencies at which acoustic waves cannot propagate through the structure. The present study aims to investigate theoretically and experimentally the acoustic band structures in two-dimensional (2D) phononic crystals consisting of periodic square arrays of stainless steel solid cylinders with a diameter of 1 mm and a lattice constant of 1.5 mm in water. The theoretical dispersion relation that depicts the relationship between the frequency and the wave vector was calculated along the ${\Gamma}X$ direction of the first Brillouin zone using the finite element method to predict the band structures in the 2D phononic crystals. The transmission and the reflection coefficients were measured in the 2D phononic crystals with 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 layers of stainless steel cylinders stacked in the perpendicular direction to propagation at normal incidence. The theoretical dispersion relation exhibited five band gaps at frequencies below 2 MHz, the first gap appearing around a frequency of 0.5 MHz. The location and the width of the band gaps experimentally observed in the transmission and the reflection coefficients appeared to coincide well with those determined from the theoretical dispersion relation.
