High temperature rupture lifetime of 304 stainless steel under multiaxial stress states (다축응력상태에서의 304 스테인리스강의 고온 파괴수명에 관한 연구)

  • Specimens of 304 stainless steel were tested to failure at elevated temperatures under multiaxial stress states, uniaxial tension using smooth bar specimens, biaxial shearing using double shear bar specimens, and triaxial tension using notched bar specimens. Rupture times are compared for uniaxial, biaxial, and triaxial stress states with respect to the maximum principal stress, the von Mises effective stress, and the principal facet stress. The results indicate that the principal facet stress gives the best correlation for the material investigated, and this parameter can predict creep life data under multiaxial stress states with rupture data obtained with specimens under uniaxial stresses. The results also suggest that grain boundary cavitation, coupled with localized deformation processes such as grain boudary sliding, controls the lifetimes of the specimens.

  • This study was conducted to select the optimum cultivar of wasabi in water condition. In three cultivar, Daruma, Simanesarai and Daihoichigo, the Daruma was superior to the others. Though total rhizome weight was similar to Daruma and Daihoichigo, rhizome of main stem of Daruma was bigger than that of Daihoichigo, specially distribute in $80{\sim}159g$ size. The allylisothiocyanate content was higher in rhizome than that of leaf, lateral rhizome and petiole. In three cultivar, the allylisothiocyanate content of rhizome, Daihoichigo, Daruma and Simanesairai was 0.3389, 0.6332, 0.3956(mg/g), respectively.

Simple Structure LED-Driving Power Converter with High Power Factor (높은 역률을 가지는 단순 구조 LED 구동 전력컨버터)

  • This paper proposes the simple structure LED-driving power converter with high power factor. As the proposed power converter combines the PFC boost converter and the conventional flyback converter into only one power conversion circuit, it simplifies the structure of LED-driving power converter. Thus the proposed converter is controlled using only one PWM controller IC, and it achieves high power factor, constant output voltage/current and cost-effectiveness. Therefore the proposed converter is suitable for the industry production and utilization of LED-light-system. In this paper, the operation analysis and design example of the proposed converter are explained, briefly. Also experimental results of the prototype that is implemented based on the designed circuit parameters are shown to validate operation characteristics of the proposed converter.

  • Recently the examples of a designing a building-lighting to which LED, a solid state Lighting, is applied are increasing in number, but the development of lighting apparatus and the techniques applied to a designing lighting apparatus frequently don't fit to a new source of light. This essay refers to the matters relevant to the techniques for designing a lighting, which are controlled with a digital technology, and the effectiveness of a "Interactive-lighting technique" which has a ductility by a sensor with developing a digital source of light module and applying it to a real designing a building-lighting . In the negative aspect that a digital technology can standardize a space for a lighting, a "Interactive-lighting Technique", which detects an analogic change of nature through a sensor and produces it, can become a new alternative one.

  • The Rayleigh-Ritz procedure based on energy method is used to present analytically the natural frequencies and the critical buckling loads for four types of loading conditions: (1) uniaxial, (2) biaxial, (3) positive shear and (4) negative shear, of the rectangular, composite plates unidirectionally stiffened with box beam type stiffeners. In analysis the discrete stiffener theory is adopted to present the effect of stiffeners in the plate structure. The convergence study is presented to demonstrate the accuracy of the results. Contour plots of the vibrated and buckled mode shapes are shown for some examples. The effect of various parameters such as numbers, position, aspect ratio of stiffener and layer angle, aspect ratio of plate are focused.

A Study on High Temperature Crack Growth Behavior in 2.25Cr-lMo Steel Weldments at $550^{\circ}C$ ($550^{\circ}C$에서의 2.25Cr-1Mo 강 용접부의 고온 균열성장 거동에 관한 연구)

  • Both creep deformation and creep crack growth experiments have been conducted on 2.25Cr-1Mo steel weldment in order to provided an information on residual life prediction of structural component weldment containing a crack. The stress exponent of creep deformation equation for the base metal and weldment at 823k were found to be 10.2 and 7.3, respectively. These two values could be assumed that dislocation climb processes are controlling the creep deformation of both materials. The creep rate of the weldment was very low, compared with that of base metal under the same applied stress. Whereas the creep crack growth rate of the weldment was almost twice higher than that of base metal under the fixed value of $C^*$. This may indicate that the weldment is stronger than the base metal in view of creep deformation and is brittle during creep crack growth due to the intrinsic microstructure of banite and relatively higher and Mn contents.

  • Subsea tunnel built in abyssal zone is exposed to environment under high water pressure caused by seawater and etc., and this high pressure from underground water may facilitate leaching. In particular, since underground water can be easily flown in during construction, this might cause many problems related to cutoff water. Therefore, in order to secure safety, it is necessary to apply grouting equipment and materials which are appropriate to construction environment. Accordingly, in this research, evaluation was made on the physical characteristics of grouting materials (strength, leaching and etc. depending on curing methods for each of used materials and condition) which can be applied during subsea tunnel construction. As a result of this research, stable strength increase was found in CA and CSA type, and it is determined that no decrease in their durability was found, so these can be used as stable materials for structures under influenced by seawater.

Estimation of Optimal Length of Apron for Scour Countermeasure of Parshall Flume (파샬플륨 세굴방지를 위한 적정 물받이 길이 산정에 관한 연구)

  • 유량을 측정하는 수로 중 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 유량 계측 수공구조물은 위어와 파샬플륨이다. 하지만 위어는 직상류부분에 유사가 퇴적되는 단점을 가진 반면, 파샬플륨의 경우 부유사의 침전이 일어나지 않는 장점이 있다. 또한 파샬플륨의 손실수두는 위어의 약 25%에 불과하므로 파샬플륨이 계측수로로써 위어보다 상대적으로 유리하다. 현재 파샬플륨 내 흐름 특성에 관한 연구는 많이 이루어져 있으나 구조물 하류구간에서 발생하는 세굴에 관한 연구는 다소 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 유랑을 측정하는 계측 수공구조물인 파샬플륨의 하류구간 세굴을 수치모의를 통해 검토한 후 이를 바탕으로 물받이 길이를 산정하였다. 수치모의의 적정성 평가를 위해 국제표준화기구(ISO)에서 제시한 ISO No.1에 대해 세굴에 관한 수리모형실험을 실시한 후 수치모의와 비교한 결과 세굴 경향성이 유사하게 나타났다. 파샬플륨 규모별로 하류구간 세굴을 수치모의 한 결과 세굴 경향은 흐름에 따라 크게 4단계로 나뉘었다. 각 단계별로 도수의 위치가 다르며, 이로인하여 세굴 경향이 바뀌는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 도수의 발생 위치가 파샬플륨 내부에서 하류로 이동하면서 세굴심과 세굴 거리가 점차 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 따라서 도수의 발생 위치가 옮겨지기 전 최대 세굴심과 세굴 거리를 이용하여 물받이 길이를 결정하였으며, 도수의 발생 위치를 물받이 위치에 고정시키기 위하여 물받이 형상을 정수지형 물받이로 결정하였다. 산정된 물받이 길이 및 형상의 적정성을 검증하기 위하여 물받이를 ISO No.1에 적용한 후 수치모의를 수행하였다. 수치모의 결과 최대 세굴심은 설치전에 비하여 27.3% 감소하였으며 이에 따라 제시된 물받이는 적정하다고 판단된다. 추후 세굴에 관한 수리모형실험과 수치모의의 결과 비교시 최대세굴심 구간을 제외한 부분의 차이발생의 원인과 다른 형상의 물받이에 관하여 연구를 수행한다면 파샬플륨을 설계시 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이며, 세굴로 인한 파샬플륨의 손상을 방지하는데 기여할 것이라고 기대된다.

Determination of Radionuclide Concentration Limit for Low and Intermediate-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility II: Application of Optimization Methodology for Underground Silo Type Disposal Facility (중저준위방사성폐기물 처분시설의 처분농도제한치 설정에 대한 고찰 II: 최적화 방법론 개발 및 적용)

  • The Gyeongju underground silo type disposal facility, approved for use in December 2014, is in operation for the disposal of low and very low-level radioactive wastes, excluding intermediate-level waste. That is why the existing low-level radioactive waste level has been subdivided and the concentration limit value for intermediate-level waste has been changed in accordance with Nuclear Safety Commission Notice 2014-003. For the safe disposal of intermediate-level wastes, new optimization methodology for calculating the concentration limit of intermediate radioactive level wastes at an underground silo type disposal facility was developed. According to the developed optimization methodology, concentration limits of intermediate-level wastes were derived and the inventory of radioactive nuclides was evaluated. The operation and post closure scenarios were evaluated for the derived radioactive nuclide inventory and the results of all scenarios were confirmed to meet the regulatory limit. However, in case of $^{14}C$, it was confirmed that additional radioactivity limitation through a well scenario was needed in addition to the limit of disposal concentration. It was confirmed that the derived intermediate concentration limit of radioactive waste can be used as the intermediate-level waste concentration limit for the underground disposal facility. For the safe disposal of intermediate-level wastes, KORAD plans to acquire additional data from the radioactive waste generator and manage the cumulative radioactivity of $^{14}C$.

A study on the Web Form System for Separating Design from Business Logic on Web Project (웹 프로젝트에서 디자인과 비즈니스 로직의 분리를 위한 웹 폼 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The Web-based project is seriously not efficient area at software engineering. In order to develop a Web-based system, UI(User Interface) designers usually first design display layout and then business logic developers bring to complete the coding of the display layout source. In the case of maintenance, it goes through the same process. This kinds of Web-based software development method were proposed by the various methods same as the tag library of JSP. But there are many problems to apply them and they are low productive comparing to the C/S based software development method. WFS(Web Form System), which is suggested on this thesis, separates UI design from business logic on a Web project and offers the better environment to develop Web-based software. Eventually WFS will improve the productivity to develop Web-based software.
