A Study on the Property of NEPE System Propellant with Respect to the Size of RDX (RDX 입도에 따른 NEPE계 추진제 특성 연구)

  • The propellant tile and crack which account for the greatest proportion of solid rockets are profoundly affected by viscosity and mechanical properties of solid propellant. In this paper solid propellant with nitrate ester polyester(NEPE) system has been researched for the viscosity, mechanical properties and burning properties with size and mixing ratio of RDX. the viscosity of propellant was changed significantly depending on the size of RDX and mixing ratio, and mechanical properties of NEPE system propellant were also varied. Considering both lower viscosity and stable mechanical properties, the optimum size and mixing ratio of RDX can be identified as the main factors to the NEPE system propellant.

  • The intention of this research is to give criteria of designing devices using ER fluids and MR fluids. The Properties of commercial ER fluids and MR fluids are compared using a rotational viscometer. The yield strength is compared upon changes of shear rate, temperature and applied fields. MR fluids seem less sensitive to temperature change than ER fluids. In cases of MR and ER fluid dampers, the time delay and damping force are measured in tension and compression mode when the applied field changes.

  • Silk fabric was printed with the reactive dye (vinylsulfone type) to investigate the change of adsorption and fixation by steaming time, viscosity of dyeing paste and alkali concentration. It was found that the amount of adsorption and fixation against silk increased with the increase of steaming time, and showed the maximum value at 340cp of dyeing paste. The amount of adsorption and fixation was influenced by alkali concentration. Light, washing, and perspiration fastness were very excellent.

  • In order to analyse the effect of the fluid viscosity changes on the centrifugal pump, the computer simulation method and the performance correction chart are used. The centrifugal pump is designed using the traditional method, and the 3D computational grid is generated for the impeller and casing. Working fluids are water, high viscous oil and muddy water. The viscosity of muddy water is measured by the unsteady capillary tube viscometer. The pump performances are predicted well through the computer simulation. The performance curves of head and efficiency for oil and muddy water are decreased. The torques of oil and muddy water, which is calculated by performance correction chart are predicted at a lower value than the computer simulation.

  • The rheology of alumina slurries with maltodextrin was studied with different processing routes using experimental design and statistical analysis. Different processing routes include maltodextrin addition, different ultrasonication intensity applied to the slurries before or after adding maltodextrin, and shaking time. Viscosities of the slurries showed shear thinning behavior and were correlated with the Ostwald-de-Weale model. The viscosities of alumina slurries decreased with the addition of maltodextrin and increased with ultrasonication intensity. There were little differences in the viscosities of the slurries depending on whether maltodextrin was added before or after ultrasonication.

  • 근육 단백질과 우유 단백질간의 상호작용의 촉매제로써 TGase의 최적화를 위한 온도와 배양시간을 결정하고자 본 실험을 실시하였다. 돼지 등심에서 근원섬유 단백질을 추출하였고 배양온도는 4, $37^{\circ}C$로, 배양시간은 0, 0.5, 2, 4시간으로 설정하였다. 단백질의 열량분석, 점도, 겔 강도, 단백질 밴드의 변화를 측정하였으며, 그 결과 단백질 열량 변화는 각 단백질 별로 열량 변화 패턴이 상이하게 나타났으며 근원섬유와 카제인 염의 혼합액은 각각의 단백질의 피크와 유사하게 나타났고 배양시간과 온도에 따라 차이를 보여 $4^{\circ}C$에 비하여 $37^{\circ}C$에서 열량 변화가 크게 나타났다. 점도의 경우 배양하지 않은 것과 비교했을 때 $37^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 배양했을 때부터 유의적인 차이를 보이며 증가했으나 4시간 배양한 것과는 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 전기영동의 경우에도 $37^{\circ}C$에서 30분 배양한 처리구는 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았으나 2시간부터 저분자의 밴드가 소멸되고 고분자의 biopolymer를 형성되었다.

The Rheology of the Silica Dispersion System with Single and Mixed Solvent (단일 및 혼합 용매계 실리카 분산체의 점도 특성 및 유변학적 거동)

  • Dispersions of fumed silica are made in 6 kinds of mono-solvents and mixed solvents which have hydroxyl group, non hydroxyl group, different polarity, and different molecular size. The viscosity and rheology behaviors of the each dispersion are investigated according to the viewpoint of solvent characteristic. The silica dispersion in polar solvent with hydroxyl group is stable and low viscous sol. The silica dispersion in non-polar solvent with non-hydroxyl group is high viscous gel. When the solvent with hydroxyl group is added to the silica dispersions with non-polar solvents, they show the reduction of viscosity with solvent content. They have minimum critical content which shows no viscosity change. The minimum critical solvent content is decreased according to the polarity of solvents with no hydroxyl group. The solvation layer which is formed on the silica surface through hydrogen bonding between hydroxyl-containing solvent and the silanol group of silica surface is the reason of stable and low viscous sol. In case of non-polar solvent, silanol on adjacent silica particles interacted directly by hydrogen bonding show high viscous and flocculated gel.

The rate and extent of acid indued coagulation of milk protein and physical characteristics of resultant coagulum (산에 의한 응고화에 영향을 미치는 인자들과 형성된 응고물의 물리학적 특징)

  • Viscosity changes of acidified milk at the various pH $ranges(5.2{\sim}4.2)$was measured as a function of temperature. The rate and extent of acid-induced coagulation of milk protein were monitored by turbidity changes as a function of temperature, preheating and salt. Relative viscosities of acidified milk were also measured. The coagulation of casein occurred in a specific pH range and was accompanied by a sharp increase in viscosity at pH of $5.0{\sim}5.2$, depending on the heating temperatures. Onset pH of coagulation and maximum coagulation rate were enhanced by increasing temperatures and preheating process and reduced by addition of salt. Relative viscosity of acidified milk was reversed at the same conditions, reflecting the size of casein coagulum formed was related to the coagulation rate.

달맞이꽃 종자유를 첨가한 호상요구르트의 이화학적 변화와 물성 및 관능적 특성에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin 처리를 이용하여 우유에서 cholesterol을 제거하여 호상요구르트를 제조하고 혈중 콜레스테롤 저하 물질인 달맞이꽃 종자유(EPO)의 양을 다르게 첨가하여 호상요구르트의 저장기간 중 이화학적 변화와 물성 및 관능적 특성을 살펴보았으며, 그 결과 pH는 저장기간 15일이 경과함에 따라 모든 군에서 pH의 저하가 일어났고, 각 실험군 간 유의적 차이는 없었다. 마찬가지로 산도도 저장기간 15일이 경과함에 따라 모든 실험군에서 계속적인 증가가 나타났으며, 실험군간 유의적 차이는 없었다. 지방산화도측정결과 TBA가(535nm)는 저장 0일에 0.045에서 저장 15일에 0.196까지 증가하였고, EPO 첨가 호상요구르트는 0.188까지 증가하였으나 실험군간 유의적 차이는 보이지 않았다. 점도는 ${\beta}$-CD를 처리하여 2% EPO를 첨가한 호상요구르트가 저장 0일에 3.7에서 저장 15일에 8.4로 가장 큰 점도 감소를 나타내었고, 저장 15일 동안 모든 군에서 점도감소가 나타났다. 관능검사결과 ${\beta}$-CD처리하여 EPO를 첨가한 호상요구르트의 산패취와 산패한 맛이 control보다 높았지만 저장기간이 지날수록 점차 낮아졌고, 신맛과 쓴맛은 control과 유사하게 나타났다. 결론적으로 EPO를 첨가한 호상요구르트는 이화학적 변화와 물성 및 관능적으로 긍정적인 결과로 나타나 산업화의 가능성을 보였다.
