본 논문에서는 Block과 Basu (1974)가 제안한 절대연속이변량지수분포(absolutely continuous bivariate exponential distribution : ACBVED)의 독립성검정에 대한 Score검정과 이 검정의 점근성을 높이기 위하여 Cordeiro와 Ferrari (1991)가 제시한 Bartlett수정항과 유사한 형태의 수정된 Score검정을 유도하였다. 그리고 수정된 Score검정의 점근성의 효과와 주변분포가 동일하다는 가정하에서 Gupta, Mehrotra와 Michalek (1984)가 제안한 우도비검정을 모의실험으로 비교하였다.

최근 들어 무선 인터넷 시장이 형성되면서 이동성을 기반으로 하는 서비스에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 그리고, 휴대폰, PDA와 같은 휴대용 단말기의 사용이 일반화된 가운데 GPS를 기반으로 하는 서비스들도 점차적으로 보편화되어 가고 있다. 이러한 변화에 따라 이동성을 지원하는 무선 단말기를 기반으로 한 모바일 GIS 환경에서의 위치 정보 활용은 크나큰 관심을 불러들이고 있으며, 또한 이러한 서비스를 효율적으로 제공하기 위해서 위치 기반 서비스(LBS: Location Based Service)의 기술 개발이 절대적으로 필요하게 되었다.(중략)

This paper presents an absolute position estimation method using Indian remote sensing (IRS) satellite images, which is a part of a position estimation (PE) system. The accumulated buffer (AB) matching method is proposed, in which a set of accumulator cells is employed for fast edge-based matching. By computer simulations with two sets of veal aerial image sequences, the performance of the AB matching method is analyzed and its effectiveness is shown in terms of the position error in the hybrid PE system.

In this paper, an algorithm that provisions absolute differentiation of packet delays is proposed with an objective for enhancing quality of service (QoS) in future packet networks. It features an adaptive scheme that compensates the deviation for prediction on the traffic to be arrived continuously. It predicts the traffic to be arrived at the beginning of a time slot and measures the actual arrived traffic at the end of the time slot, and derives the deviation between the two quantity. The deviation is utilized to the delay control operation for the next time slot to offset it. As it compensates the prediction error continuously, it shows superior adaptability to the bursty traffic as well as the constant rate traffic. It is demonstrated through simulation that the algorithm meets the quantitative delay bounds and shows superiority to the traffic fluctuation in comparison with the conventional mechanism.

This study focuses on examination of the availability and effectiveness about application of the differential GPS methods for navigation and acquisition of the geo-spatial information. For this, the algorithms related to a navigation solution and differential GPS were implemented in MATLAB code, a number of software simulations on test model were carried out to assess its performance, comparing the results with those obtained from the commercial software. Expecially, the results coming from tracking test on test model of the OO's WADGPS which is the commercial real-time satellite-based augmentation system via geostationary satellite (GEOs), which has been investigated with those from the above GPS methods. And also, the accuracy of absolute positioning by Navigation solution and WADGPS before and after SA-off has been compared. The above results show that DGPS methods are very reliable and efficient methods for acquisition of the geo-spatial information.

La estrella de Sevilla, is a representative masterpiece of the Golden Age of Spain, and is a tragic work of Lope de Vega, who was a representative drama writer living in the 17th century. However, regardless of its great literary value, there are insufficient researches on this drama even in Spain, due to several controversies surrounding the truth about Lope's creation. Here, this research concretely investigated the tragic characteristic of this drama, by largely dividing it into the viewpoint of Aristotle and Shakespeare. Thanks to the noble social status of the characters and proper dialogue of the hero Sancho Ortiz in trouble, there seems to be no problem in performing the cathartic function that Aristotle mentioned regarding the work in his review. However, there are a few problems in the aspect of the 'hero's free will to resist the absolute fate,' which is fundamentally the essence of the associated Aristotelian tragedy. Because, there's no Hamartia in this drama, the core mechanism that forms the absolute fate, makes the statement that accordingly, no absolute fate or irresistible force of destiny is established. Rather, the tragic characteristic of this drama can be more properly investigated from the viewpoint of Shakespeare. As noted differently from Aristotle, Shakespeare considered that the tragic characteristic came from the hero's characteristic. According to him, tragedy starts from the hero's value view and personality, instead of the external factors such as an absolute fate. Actually, Busto's death and separation between Sancho Ortiz and Estrella, two tragic affairs of La estrella de Sevilla, were caused by the crooked selfishness of King Sancho IV, who abused his authority, and Sancho Ortiz' excessively blind loyalty to the King, rather than the irresistible event. In conclusion, in light of a lethargic and hopeless situation, with no eventual choice of options before the injustice of absolute power, is must have been a significant tragedy for the audience, witnessing the play's tragic ending.
