Cutting Property Analysis of Paprika for Development of Paprika Auto-Harvester (파프리카 자동수확기 개발을 위한 파프리카의 절단 특성 측정)

  • 본 연구는 파프리카를 자동 수확하기 위한 시스템 개발의 일환으로 수확작업기의 절단장치를 설계하고자 파프리카 과병의 절단특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 파프리카 과병의 절단특성을 분석하기 위하여 사용한 파프리카는 경기도 평택시에서 재배된 파프리카를 사용하였다. 적색 품종인 Nagano RZ와 황색 품종인 Helsinki, 주황색 품종인 Boogie를 사용하였다. 파프리카 과병의 절단 특성을 분석하기 위하여 상기 세 가지 품종의 파프리카 30개씩 총 90개의 파프리카를 사용하여 과병의 중앙 지점을 절단하였다. 절단 특성을 측정하기 위하여 push-pull gauge인 digitect dtg-20을 사용하였으며, 파프리카의 과병의 절단 특성을 측정하기 위하여 일반 농가에서 사용하는 접도 OLFA CK2의 접도의 칼날을 digitect dtg-20에 장착하여 측정하였다. 파프리카 과병의 절단 특성의 시험 항목은 절단강도를 측정하였다. 파프리카의 과병의 절단 특성 측정은 수확작업기의 파프리카 과병의 절단을 위한 절단장치의 설계를 위하여 진행하였다. 파프리카 과병의 절단 특성은 파프리카의 훼손을 최소화한 수확작업을 위한 중요한 요소이다. 파프리카의 과병의 중앙을 절단하여 절단강도와 절단력을 측정하였다. 그 결과 파프리카 과병의 절단강도는 $4.18{\pm}1.18kgf$로 나타났으며, 최대값은 6.91kgf, 최소값은 2.26kgf로 나타났다. 파프리카 과병은 측정된 절단강도의 최대값인 6.91kgf보다 큰 힘을 이용하여 절단하여야 하므로 그에 맞게 수확작업기의 절단장치의 모터를 선정하고 설계가 이루어져야 한다고 판단한다.

Development and Performance of Cutting and Crushing Instrument of Hair to Prevent Blocking U-trap in Home Drainage System (하수구 막힘 방지를 위한 모발 절단 분쇄 장치 개발 및 성능평가)

  • The recalcitrant hairs which are accumulated in the U-trap equipped to prevent the stench from the drainage produce the phenomenon of blocking the flow of water through the home drainage pathway. The chemical dissolution solutions commercially manufactured are excessively poured into U-trap to solve this blocking problem. In this study, the specially designed instrument was developed for the experiments to cut and crush the hairs of which main component are the recalcitrant keratin proteins. The performance of the instrument for cutting and crushing hairs was investigated using experimental methods. The cutting and weighing method was used in order to obtain the average length of a large amount of hairs cut by instrument. This method is relatively simple to measure the weight of cutting hairs to obtain the average length of the fibers, the values of average length showed not greater tolerances. Also the average cutting number was defined to evaluate the performance of the cutting and crushing instruments designed for this study. We were able to apply these evaluation methods to provide the criteria to obtain the optimal structure of instrument and proper operation time in the given experimental conditions. These experimental methods and results will provide the good example to design and to analyze the various device that can be used for cutting the fibers. The cutting and crushing instrument developed in this study showed the effective abilities to cutting the hairs. The general using the cuttting and crushing instrument at every home would be helpful to prevent water environmental pollution.

Development of the Pushing Type Cutting Device to Dismantle Concrete Structure for Decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plant (원전해체 시 콘크리트 구조물 절단을 위한 밀기형 절단장치 개발)

  • Pulling-type cutting devices, which use a diamond wire saw, have been used generally for cutting concrete structures. In this study, a pushing-type cutting device with a collection cover was developed by overcoming the disadvantages of pulling-type devices. In this device, dry or liquid methods can be selected to cool frictional heat. Operation and leakage tests of the dust generated during the dismantling of a concrete structure were carried out, confirming the suitable operation of the fabricated cutting device; the leakage rate was approximately 1.7%. For a conservative evaluation, the internal dose of workers was estimated in dismantling the core center part of biological shield concrete with a specific activity of 99.5 Bq·g-1. The committed effective dose per worker was 0.25 mSv. The developed cutting device contributed to reducing radioactive concrete waste and minimizing worker exposure due to its easy installation. Therefore, it can be utilized as a cutting apparatus for dismantling not only reinforced concrete structures but also radioactive biological shield concrete in nuclear power plant decommissioning efforts.

  • 본 연구에서는 초음파 진동자를 적용한 초극세사 자동 절단 시스템을 개발 하였다. 초극세사 자동 절단 시스템은 공진 주파수 28kHz를 가지는 초음파 진동자, 구동회로부, 원단 이송장치, 초음파 진동자 이송장치, 초극세사 원단과 에어실린더 사이의 정전기 발생을 방지하기 위한 정전기 제거장치, 구동모터, 및 절단 크기와 절단 속도 등을 조절하기 위한 전기제어 판넬로 구성하여 제작하였다. 또한, 개발한 절단 시스템을 이용하여 초극세사 클리너 시제품을 제작하여 절단면을 전자현미경으로 관찰하였고, 절단 시스템의 소음진동 특성을 평가하였다.

  • In this study, the safety and effectiveness of ope cutter, developed to prevent frequent accident propeller windingness at sea. First, we calculated the bolt strength of the three types of rope cutting devices used in the experiment and the torsional stresses on the shafting system theoretical equation and the finite element method. As a result, the bolts used in the rope cutter confirmed from the viewpoint of safety life design and fail safe design. Also, safety satisfactory because of the small effect on the shaft system when locking up. Experiments were carried out to cut ropes and fishing nets from the sea using the ships equipped with three types of rope cutters verified to be safe. As a result, ropes of 20 to 50 mm in thickness were generally cut. It was found that the cutting efficiency of a rope cutter attached to shafting decreased when cutting thick ropes.

  • 양파박피기 개발을 목적으로 수행된 본 연구에서는 공정상 필요한 뿌리절단장치에 관하여 시험 분석하였다. 뿌리를 절단, 제거하는 데 적합한 칼날의 종류, 회전속도와 이송속도, 및 소요동력 등 제 특성을 구명하여 적절한 회전칼날을 제작 사용함으로써 능률 높은 양파박피기를 개발하고자 수행한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 양날형, 축날형, 원추형, 및 원통형 등 직경 30 mm의 칼날을 제작하여 실험하였던 바, 양파의 뿌리절단에는 구부린 칼날로 파내기를 하고 수직칼날로 금긋기를 동시에 할 수 있는 양날형이 가장 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 양파의 뿌리부가 100% 절단이 되고 소요동력이 낮으면서 절단시간을 단축할 수 있는 최적의 작동조건은 칼날의 무부하 회전수 630 rpm, 이송속도 0.08 m/s인 것으로 나타났고, 그때의 최대토크는 5.25 kg·cm이었으며 최대소요동력은 33W로 나타났다.

A Study on Safety and Performance Evaluation to Shaver Type Rope Cutter for Ships (선박용 Shaver Type 로프절단장치의 안전성 및 성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • As Korean coastal activity is high, the incidence of accidents caused by marine waste is extensive. An accident in which marine floating waste ropes and fishing nets are wound around the propeller of a sailing ship is termed "Rope wrapped accident." To prevent such accidents, this study applied the Finite Element Method (F.E.M.) for performance evaluation of the shaver type cutter, commercialized in Korea, through a structural safety review and water tank test. The results demonstrate that all parts constituting the rope cutter were damaged before reaching 0.5s, and the safety factor of each part was found to be at least 2 based on the maximum stress generated compared to the tensile strength. In the basin test, the cutting process of the shaver type rope cutter was reviewed, and the installation angle was set for each case considering that the rope floating in the sea actually enters at various angles. Consequently, as it was successful at cutting in all the cases, it can be concluded that there will be no problem in cutting the rope regardless of the mounted angle of the cutting blade.

  • 유압동력사용 전제하에, 기계식탈피복을 고려하지 않을 때는 전단방식이 가장 유리함을 알 수 있다. 절단방식은 전단방식에 비해서 낮은 생산성이 단점이나, 높은 원형도의 연료봉 절단면이 요구되거나, 비산에 의한 칩 분리, 쿨링(cooling) 장치를 보완하면 절단방식이 유리하다. 또한 수평식 슬릿장치는 커팅 블레이드의 낮은 내구성으로 생산성이 낮은 것이 단점이나 내구성이 강한 공구를 사용하여 처리 속도를 향상한다는 전제에서 실험적 검증의 확보, 그리고 별도의 복잡한 펠릿/헐 분리장치를 보완하면 수평식 슬릿 방식이 유리하다.

Numerical and Experimental Thermal Validation on Pogo-pin based Wire Cutting Mechanism for CubeSat Applications (큐브위성용 포고핀 기반 열선절단 분리장치의 열적 거동 분석 및 검증)

  • A nylon wire holding and release mechanism (HRM) has been widely used for deployable applications of CubeSat owing to its simplicity and low cost. In general, structural safety of solar panel with an HRM has been designed by performing structural analysis under a launch environment. However, previous studies have not performed thermal analysis for HRM in an on-orbit environment. In this study, Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) thermal analysis was performed to evaluate thermal stability of the mechanism in the orbital thermal environment of the pogo pin-based HRM applied to CubeSat. In addition, the effectiveness of the thermal design and performance of the pogo pin-based HRM were verified through a thermal vacuum test.
