  • 현재의 웹 환경은 HTML로 구성이 되어있고 이로인해 하이퍼링크를 따라가기 위해 마우스 클릭을 통해 작업하는 GUI환경이 주를 이룬다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 인간이 가장 손쉽게 사용하는 음성과 비교해 볼 때 상당히 불편한 축에 속한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 현재 무르익은 음성인식 기술과 전화기를 통해 정보를 제공하고자 하는 XML의 파생인 VoiceXML을 이용하여 현재 HTML이 주류를 이루는 웹 환경을 VoiceXML을 이용한 음성인터페이스 환경을 마련하고자 한다.

  • 정보화시대의 두축은 컴퓨터와 통신망이다. 컴퓨터의 발전은 정보의 대량생산을 , 통신망의 확산은 정보의 대량유통을 가능하게 하였다. 벨이 전화기를 발명한 이후 전화망(PSTN)구축에 막대한 투자가 이루어져, 많은 국가에서 사람들간의 통화수요는 충족이 된 상태이다. 그러나 정보화시대가 본격화됨에 따라 정보원이 다양해지고, 데이터, 음향, 화상정보에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 멀티미디어정보를 수용키위해 선진국들은 초고속 정보통신망의 구축이 필요하다고 인식하고 있으며 ,또한 이는 국가 경쟁력유지에 필수적인 것으로 보고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 초고속정보통신망 구축을 촉진시킬 수 있는 방안을 개발함에 있으며, 가장 많은 투자가 필요한 가입자망(local loop)구축에 CATV망과의 연게에 대하여 초점을 맞추고 있다.

  • 휴대용 전자 제품의 수요가 증가함에 따라 전자 제품의 전력 소모를 감소시키는 문제가 중요하게 되었다. 예를 들면 현재 사용자가 급속도로 늘고 있는 개인 휴대 전화기나 노트북 컴퓨터는 소형화와 배터리의 사용시간 연장 등이 가장 중요한 기술적인 요소로 작용하고 있다. 전력소모를 줄이기 위해서 게이트 크기를 재결정하는 방법과 버퍼를 삽입함으로써 글리치를 줄이는 방법이 사용되고 있는데 최근에 버퍼의 위치를 결정하는 데 정수 선형계획법이 제안되었다. 본 연구에서는 최대 가중 독립 집합을 찾는 알고리즘을 이용해 버퍼의 위치를 결정 방법을 제안하였고 실험을 통해 효율성을 입증하였다.

  • This study was performed to avoid the chemical spraying environment condition during spraying operation for operator's safety through the development of a remote controlled speed sprayer. The summerized results of this study are as followings. 1. The developed VHF electric wave remote controlling system which could operate sixteen type of operation conditions with the circuit channels of 234 was highly adaptable to speed sprayer for the remote control. 2. The commerical wireless telephones adapted the DTMF type electric wave remote control system need not the tranceiver. 3. The wireless electric wave remote control system combined with one-chip microcomputer, which are low cost with compact in size, could be adaptable to the remote control of the speed sprayer for the wheel steering and speed control system, and to the remote control chemical application system.

  • In this paper, planar duplexer module combined with power amplifier is described. This new scheme is to enhance power efficiency as well as to minimize the size of RF circuit in CDMA phone. Each filter which was a part of duplexer, was realized with planar type and rearranged into the power amplifier module on the multilayer board. Each electrical specifications of existing power amplifier and duplexer were satisfied. Especially, ACPR performances measured at output power of 24dBm which is 2dB lower than that of a conventional one, meet IS-95 for a power amplifier of CDMA phone. Overall current about 80mA has been successfully saved as a result of new scheme. In addition, the module size has been reduced to be as small as 1.08CC.

  • An SDR (Software Defined Radio) system based on general purpose computing platform has benefits of ease of software development process, high degree of software compatibility, and cost-effectiveness of general purpose processors. This paper discusses design and implementation of a dual-mode SDR system that supports both cordless phone and walkie-talky system running on Linux-based general purpose computing platform. For this purpose, we designed modulation and demodulation software on open source-based GNU radio middleware. We also designed a customized RF front-end hardware which performs frequency conversion between RF and IF. The proposed SDR system successfully exhibited its ability to operate both cordless phone and walkie-talky communication on Intel processor-based general purpose computing platform. But experience with the prototype SDR system shows that further research is required for run-time software reconfiguration and efficient integration with conventional TCP/IP protocol stacks.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) has become an universal standard for multimedia communications for both wired and wireless networks since it has been adopted as a standard protocol for IMS platform in 3GPP standardization organization at November 2000. In this paper, we design and implement a SIP-based softphone client program which provides telephony service between internet users and a call center equipped with VoIP gateway. A softphone client based on PC-to-phone connection should guarantee to provide interoperability with various VoIP gateways and higher portability to be able to operate on different PC environments. The softphone client program in this paper has been developed with SIP 2.0 standard protocol to support interoperability and with JAIN SIP and JMF package to achieve higher portability.

  • In this study, we design a remote broadcasting system that can output announcement to a remote place using wired/wireless telephone. The designed remote broadcasting system uses the LTE module to amplify the telephone voice received wirelessly through the amplifier and output it. Also, a text message for broadcasting can be sent to a remote broadcasting system through a wired/wireless telephone capable of transmitting a text message, and the remote broadcasting system that receives the broadcasting text message can automatically output the corresponding announcement stored in the voice device. For security reasons, the telephone number of the receiver is analyzed by a comparison algorithm so that only the administrator and registered users can use the system. At this time, the recorded announcement broadcast is outputted through the speaker only when it is confirmed as the registered user. The system designed in this study allows the user to output announcements quickly without being limited by time and place.

  • VoIP utilizes the Internet for the services, and therefore it is vulnerable to intrusions and attacks. Because provided services deal with information related to privacy of users, it requires high level security including authentication and the confidentiality/integrity of signaling messages and media streams. However, when such a protocol is implemented in a VoIP phone, the implementation can have limitations due to the limited resources. The present study purposed to implement VoIP security protocols and to evaluate their performance in terms of connection quality and voice quality by applying them to SIP proxy and UA (User Agent). In the result of performance evaluation, the application of the security protocols did not lower voice quality, but connection quality was high in the DTLS based security protocol. As the protocol was applicable to signaling and media paths based on DTLS, we found that it can be a solution for the limited resources of VoIP phone.
