Aesthetics means differ from cultures and times and also differ from each person's own thinking. But as a restorative dentist who works for esthetic areas, we need to have certain principles and rationale. Some functions in CAD/CAM looks very useful to match harmonious shape to adjacent teeth and also very effective and efficient when compare to the traditional laboratory technics. Also we will discuss about link abutment (Titanium-Zirconia abutment) which we need for dental implant placed anterior area where the soft tissue is thin.

In case of the treatment of maxillary anterior teeth, it should be taken into account the proper morphology, arrangement and color satisfying patient's esthetic demands. For this purpose, facial composition, dentofacial composition, dental composition and dentogingival composition should be considered making diagnosis and treatment plan in an esthetic point of view. In adjustable temporary crown state, careful evaluation and correction of the esthetic and functional aspect were performed, and the definite restoration was reproduced using double scan.

The prosthodontic treatments in maxillary anterior teeth focus on achieving esthetic appearances. It is possible to improve the esthetic appearance by adjusting the shape, arrangement, and color of the maxillary anterior teeth. For anterior teeth restoration, it is necessary to evaluate the relationship of teeth, lip and gingival architecture with the facial profile of patient. Also, clinician needs to fully understand what the patient wants to. DSD (digital smile design) concept can be applied as a tool to improve communication with the clinician, technician and patient. In addition, DSD can help to meet the needs of the patient. In this case, it was impossible to achieve symmetry due to congenital missing of maxillary central incisor. The definitive treatment goal was to get the harmony of maxillary anterior teeth, lip and the patient's face. This case report describes that the patient and clinician got the satisfying esthetic outcome by using DSD.

In case of endodontic treatment and extensive restoration of severe dental caries, trauma, and developmental defect, esthetic restoration of primary incisors and permanent anterior teeth for children and adolescents period is delicate matter for pediatric dentists. Existing restorative methods for anterior teeth have retentive and esthetic limitations for badly damaged teeth, especially for the adolescent anterior teeth. Therefore, the preparative stage for setting the permanent prosthesis as well as the retention and esthetics have to be considered. In this case, esthetic restoration for badly destroyed anterior teeth was tried with fiber-reinforced post and the result was satisfactory.

With the increasing demand for aesthetic implant dentistry, the importance of implant restoration is emphasized not only in the functional aspect but also in the aesthetic aspect. The aesthetic restoration of dental implants in the anterior maxilla is a challenge for clinicians because it requires proper harmony in three following conditions; reconstruction of hard tissue, soft tissue, and aesthetic prosthesis. The soft tissue aesthetics are dependent upon the condition of the supporting hard tissue because the osseous structure provides a framework for the development of a healthy and aesthetic soft tissue interface. Therefore, the augmentation of hard tissue is a first step and especially, optimal 3-dimensional position of implant is the most important factor in aesthetic implant restoration. The management of soft tissue is a second step, and the final step is a restoration of harmonic prosthesis using provisional restoration with proper emergence profile. This clinical report describes the procedure of bone augmentation in labial dehiscence defect, Vascularized Interpositional Periosteal-Connective Tissue (VIP-CT) flap for aesthetic anterior soft tissue, and the importance of provisional restoration and impression taking stage with customized impression coping.

Guided implant surgery is useful in anterior implant case in terms of fixture installation and temporary crown delivery. For the aesthetic prosthetics in anterior implant, the position of the implant fixture is crucial. Guided surgery is the top-down procedure and we designed prosthetics first and then determine the position of the fixture. Guided surgery can reduce the stress of dentist with difficult anterior implant case.

Monolithic zirconia has been widely used in fixed partial dentures due to high strength and fracture toughness. Nevertheless, the usage of monolithic zirconia in anterior restoration was limited because of opacity. Recently, esthetic monolithic zirconia blocks are developed by improving translucency and using various shading systems. Manufacturer introduces 3M $Lava^{TM}$ Esthetic with increased cubic phase and fluorescent ingredients is more esthetic than previous monolithic zirconia. This case report describes favorable anterior restorations using translucent monolithic zirconia.

With the increasing demand for esthetics and minimum intervention concept, people want to restore the fractured tooth with direct composite restoration. But even now, many dentists hesitate to do the direct resin restoration in the anterior region and shift the responsibility to dental technicians. This article describes each steps in restoring Class IV cavity. To obtain an esthetic result in anterior restoration, layering technique is mandatory and clinical tips suggested in this article would be useful.

Recently, a method of fabricating an esthetic anterior fixed prosthesis by integrating data such as three-dimensional facial scan and jaw motion to form a virtual patient with dynamic occlusion has been introduced. This enables smooth communication with patients during the diagnosis process, improves the predictability of esthetic prosthetic treatment, and lowers the possibility of occlusal adjustment. In this case report, a virtual patient with dynamic occlusion was created in which the results of the treatment were simulated, and esthetic maxillary anterior fixed prosthesis was fabricated. With the aid of the virtual patient, the final restorations were satisfactory both in terms of esthetic and function.
