전자책이란 책의 내용을 디지털 형태로 가공, 저장한 출판물을 의미한다. 인터넷의 급속한 확산에 따른 디지털 컨텐츠 시장의 급성장 속에서 전자책 서비스는 전세계적으로 많은 관심을 집중시키고 있다. BSP 들의 각기 다른 전자책 문서 포멧의 사용에 따라 전자책 컨텐츠의 교환 및 공유가 어렵게 되자 미국과 일본에 이어 한국에서도 2001년 한국전자책문서표준(EBKS)이 한국전자책 컨소시엄(EBK)에 의해 제정되었다. 한국전자책문서표준은 OEB(미국전자책표준안), JepaX(일본전자책표준안)와는 달리 고정된 문서의 구조를 정의하여 전자책 컨텐츠의 교환을 보장하고 있으며, XML을 기본으로 하여 기존의 HTML, PDF 방식의 전자책의 단점을 극복하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국전자책 문서표준(EBKS)을 기반으로 웹 상에서 유연하게 서비스가 가능한 전자책의 모델을 제시하고 구현된 전자책을 소개한다.

전자상거래를 위해 가장 중요한 기능은 주문서 등과 같은 전자상거래 당사자간에 교환되는 전자문서 및 메시지에 대한 정보보호이다. XML은 인터넷에서의 데이터 교환의 표준으로 받아들여지고 있으며, 특히 전자상거래 분야에서의 사용이 급속히 확산되고 있다. 그러므로 안전한 전자상거래를 위해서는 XML 전자문서 및 XML 형태의 메시지에 대한 정보보호가 먼저 해결되어야 하며, 또한 기존의 XML 형태가 아닌 전자문서의 정보보호도 함께 해결되어야 한다. XML 전자서명은 이러한 보안 요구사항을 충족시켜줄 수 있으며, XML 전자문서 및 메시지에 대한 인증, 무결성, 부인봉쇄 등과 같은 정보보호 서비스를 제공해 준다. 본 논문에서는 XML 전자서명에 대한 설계를 제안하며, 이 설계에 따라 XML 전자서명을 구현한 ESES/Signature에 대해 설명한다.

As business-to-business electronic commerce becomes activated, usage rate of standard electronic documents is rapidly increasing. Types and forms of standard documents exchanged between businesses have also been changed. Instead of EDI documents, mainly used in the initial phase, XML documents have been actively used recently. However, most framework standards for XML documents just specify basic syntax rules, messaging protocols, and standard documents. As a result, it has been usually difficult to procure efficiency and effectiveness in developing new standard electronic documents. Reflecting the experiences of developing UN/EDIFACT, UN/CEFACT provides a methodology and library for reusing standard data items as components when defining electronic documents. However, much additional effort is required for applying the methodology and library to the development process. In order to improve this situation, this paper proposes a system for supporting the development process by reusing various resources of registries/repositories, focusing on UN/CEFACT submission forms for standard electronic documents.

전자책에 대한 사회적인 관심과 다양한 장점에도 불구하고 현재 상이한 전자책 문서 포맷을 사용한 결과 전자책 컨텐츠에 대한 교환 및 공유를 어렵게 하여 결과적으로 전자책의 시장 활성화를 가로막는 가장 큰 장애가 되고 있다. 미국과 일본에서는 이미 관련 표준안을 제정한 바 있으며, 한국에서도 2001년 한국전자책 컨소시엄(EBH의 표준화 분과위원회를 통하여 전자책 산업 표준인 한국전자책문서표준(EBKS)을 제정하였다. 한국에서의 전자책 표준 EBKS는 HTML 및 PDF보다 다양한 장점을 제공하는 XML을 기반으로, 전자책 컨텐츠에 대한 정확한 교환 한국출판환경의 특징 반영, 생성 용이성, 관련 표준과의 호환성 제공 등을 기본 방향으로 한다. 한편 EBKS는 DTD 측면에서 고정된 문서구조, 확장메커니즘 제공, 세로 쓰기 다단 편집 그리고 한글 및 고어 특성 반영 등과 같은 특징을 포함하며, 스타일의 경우 교환을 위해서는 XSL-FO를 이용하여 컨텐츠와 스타일을 분리하고 있으며, 출력을 위해서는 XSL-FO를 권고한다. 그리고 EBKS 메타데이터는 사용의 용이성 교환 및 호환성 등을 제공하기 위하여 한정어(qualifier)를 사용하지 않는 dc-metadata와 확장을 위한 x-metadata로 구성된다. 한편 본 논문에서는 이러한 EBKS의 활용예로 XSL-FO를 이용한 전자책 컨텐츠에 대한 정교한 출력 결과를 제시한다.

A legal system is designed to regulate social phenomena appropriately minimizing potential disputes arising out of conflicts with social phenomena and to seek for stability of legal life. The development of information technology and network infrastructure changed way of communication significantly, which realized the new transactional concepts, such as EDI(Electronic Data Interchange), Commerce At Light Speed(CALS) and Electronic Commerce(EC). However, current legal systems of each nation, which are based upon the paper document, do not seem to accomodate such types of emerging transactions. In that context, we can observe many issues which cannot be resolved among the parties involved in such transactions even under the several sui-generis statutes regarding EDI in Korea. Based upon the recognition of the above circumstances, this paper will browse legislative efforts in advanced countries and international institutions like UNCITRAL, and WTO. Also this will cover outstanding issues in relation with the deployment of electronic commerce in Korea and suggest what should be revisited for better accommodation of the changes going on.

전자문서교환(EDI, Electronic Data Interchange)은 기업과 기업 간에 컴퓨터와 컴퓨터의 통신을 통하여 필요한 거래문서를 구조화된 형식으로 교환하여 업무를 처리하는 방식을 말한다. 이러한 전자문서의 유통은 절러 위험요소로부터 완전히 해방되지는 못한다. 본 연구에서는 향후 국내에서 발생 될 위협요소 중 우선적인 보호가 요구되는 것으로 메시지 노출로 인한 프라이버시 침해 및 중요 내용의 노출문제와 메시지 수정 문제 및 발신처 인증 문제. 그리고 수신자의 수신사실에 대한 부인을 위험요소로 선정하였다. 또한, 이를 막기 위한 보안서비스를 메시지 비밀보장. 무결성, 메시지 발신처 인증 및 수신내용 부인불능 등을 선정하여 이들의 구현방안을 제시하였다.

기업간 및 기업 대 정부간 문서교환의 요구를 충족시키기 위한 일원으로 기업들은 산업 표준에 따른 전자문서교환(EDI)에 많은 관심과 노력을 기울여왔으며, 국내에서는 한국 EDIFACT위원회를 중심으로 전자문서 표준화가 이루어졌다. 국내 수출업자들이 관세청에 수출신고를 위한 통관 EDI 교환은 주로 부가가치통신망(VAN) 사업자들을 통해 이루어지고 있으나 이러한 EDI 중계 서비스는 특정 VAN사업자들을 통해 EDI서비스가 독점됨에 따라 서비스 이용에 있어 값비싼 전송료 및 통신망 임차비, 잦은 통신 지연, 기업 내부 시스템과의 연계의 어려움 등으로 인하여 많은 문제점을 낳았다. 현재 이러한 전통적 방식의 EDI를 인터넷 기반으로 전환할 때 인터넷의 개방성과 저렴한 사용비용등의 장점으로 인해 비용절감과 사용자 편이성을 크게 증가시킬 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷과 웹을 이용하여 통관 EDI 중계 시스템을 개발하였다. 현재 수출을 하고자 하는 주체는 관세청에서 반드시 EDI로 수출에 관한 신고를 하여야 하는바, 본 시스템은 이러한 EDI신고를 인터넷상에서 가능하도록 한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 HTML에서 진일보한 차세대 마크업 언어인 XML을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 구축한 XML/EDI 통관시스템은 수출신고에 필요한 11개의 전자문서에 대한 XML Schema를 디자인하고, 사용자 관리, SchemaStyleTemplate 관리, XML/EDI 문서관리 XML/EDI변환, EDI 송수신 관리, 인증관리, 로그관리 등의 모듈을 지니고 있으며 개방형 EDI와 인터넷 EDI의 장점을 취합하여 설계되었다. 본 시스템은 기존의 UN/EDIFACT표준을 사용하고 있는 EDI환경과 기존 VAN 방식의 EDI 중계 시스템과 연동되며, 향후 관세청의 XML/EDI 표준 시행을 미리 대비하는 선도연구로서 자리매김이 된다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 XML/EDI 통관시스템은 향후, 서비스의 최대 걸림돌이 되어왔던 값비싼 EDI 사용료의 부담에서 벗어날 수 있게 할 것이며, 저렴한 EDI구축/운영 비용으로 전자문서교환의 활성화와 XML이 인터넷 기반의 문서유통 표준으로 자리매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.

최근 차세대 웹 표준문서 포맷으로 부상되고 있는 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)을 사용한 B2B 전자상거래 규격에 대한 국내외적인 표준화 작업이 가속화되고 있다. 아울러 기업 간 문서 교환시의 인증 및 보안문제 또한 필수적인 사항이 되어가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기업 간 문서교환 및 문서교환 시의 보안문제 해결을 위한 XML 전자서명(XML-Dsig:Digital Signature)표준에 기반한 XML/EDI 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
