Extracting Predominant Melody from Polyphonic Music using Harmonic Structure (하모닉 구조를 이용한 다성 음악의 주요 멜로디 검출)

  • In this paper, we propose a method for extracting predominant melody of polyphonic music based on harmonic structure. Since polyphonic music contains multiple sound sources, the process of melody detection consists of extraction of multiple fundamental frequencies and determination of predominant melody using those fundamental frequencies. Harmonic structure is an important feature parameter of monophonic signal that has spectral peaks at the integer multiples of its fundamental frequency. We extract all fundamental frequency candidates contained in the polyphonic signal by verifying the required condition of harmonic structure. Then, we combine those harmonic peaks corresponding to each extracted fundamental frequency and assign a rank to each after calculating its harmonic average energy. We finally run pitch tracking based on the rank of extracted fundamental frequency and continuity of fundamental frequency, and determine the predominant melody. We measure the performance of proposed method using ADC 2004 DB and 100 Korean pop songs in terms of MIREX 2005 evaluation metrics, and pitch accuracy of 90.42% is obtained.

  • Emotion intelligence computing is able to processing of human emotion through it's studying and adaptation. Also, Be able more efficient to interaction of human and computer. As sight and hearing, music & image is constitute of short time and continue for long. Cause to success marketing, understand-translate of humanity emotion. In this paper, Be design of check system that matched music and image by user emotion keyword(irritability, gloom, calmness, joy). Suggested system is definition by 4 stage situations. Then, Using music & image and emotion ontology to retrieval normalized music & image. Also, A sampling of image peculiarity information and similarity measurement is able to get wanted result. At the same time, Matched on one space through pared correspondence analysis and factor analysis for classify image emotion recognition information. Experimentation findings, Suggest system was show 82.4% matching rate about 4 stage emotion condition.

The Use of Music for Healthy Elderly : Literature Review (건강한 노화를 위한 음악활용 : 국내·외 연구 고찰)

  • This study aimed to review Korean-written and English-written studies on music intervention for older adults in terms of research variables and type of music application. Electronic databases and music-related journals were searched and a total of 40 studies, 19 Korean-written and 21 English-written studies, were included for analysis. The results showed that music intervention studies for older adults began to be conducted in Korea in the late 1990s and have continuously increased thus far, which is similar to studies overseas. Emotional area, especially depression, was targeted the most frequently in both studies in Korea and overseas. While singing of traditional folk song or popular music were applied the most in Korean studies, listening to classical music or relaxing music was primarily observed in studies overseas. While both studies in Korea and overseas used original music frequently, Korean-written studies used live music and showed tendency to select music based on preferences of participants more than studies overseas. These results indicate that growing population of older adults and increased needs for successful aging have been sufficiently reflected in studies on music-based intervention. Cultural and societal factors might affect the differences between studies in Korea and studies overseas. Future studies on music intervention considering cultural and societal needs of this population from multidimensional approach were also suggested.

  • 본 논문은 개인용 전자 비서 시스템을 위한 음성사서함의 구현에 관한 것이다. 기존의 음성사서함 서비스는 단순한 메시지 축적서비스에 불과하다. 제안된 전자 비서 시스템을 위한 음성사서함은 음성 정보를 관련 데이터 베이스와 연계하여 개인정보관리시스템에 활용할 수 있도록 한 것이다. 본 논문에서는 음성의 저장과 합성에 ADPCM과 LPC 음성 부호화 방식을 적용하였고, 음악합성에는 FM 음원을 사용하였다. 개인용 컴퓨터에 확장카드 형태로 제작된 제안된 시스템의 서비스 기능은 녹음, 편집, 저장 및 재생기능, 자동발신 및 메시지 전달기능, 동보기능, 자동수신 및 부재중 안내기능, 시보안내 및 음악연주 기능, 전화번호 및 스케쥴 관리등으로 구성되었다.

  • As mobile Web technology becomes more increasingly applicable. the mobile contents market. especially the music downloading for mobile phones, has recorded remarkable growth. In spite of this rapid growth, customers experience high levels of frustration in the process of searching for desired music contents. It affects to a re-purchasing rate of customers and also. music mubile content providers experience a decrease in the benefit. Therefore, in aspects of a customer relationship management (CRM), a new way to increase a benefit by providing a convenient shopping environment to mobile customers is necessary. As an solution for this situation, we propose a new music recommender system to enhance the customers' search efficiency by combining collaborative filtering with mobile web mining and ordinal scale based customer preferences. Some experiments are also performed to verify that our proposed system is more effective than the current recommender systems in the mobile Web.

  • According to a 2006 paper by a music therapist and a music therapist in elementary schools, the demand for special education increased, and a 2018 music education study showed that music rooms and equipment increased, but it was difficult to move or lacked various instruments. In this work, we develop a module that combines hardware and software for social improvement education in autistic children using tools. Various instrument sounds can be set using piezo sensors and Arduino, so you can experience various instruments through simple operation and there are instruments designed for music therapy through modularity. Hopefully, the study will help disabled children heal their music.

  • 전자상거래는 거래의 많은 부분을 차지할 수 있는 잡지, 신문, 음악, 소프트웨어 등의 거래에 필요한 소액 지불수단이 필요하다. 이러한 요구조건을 만족시기 위해서는 과도한 암호화 부담을 줄이고 처리비용을 낮추는 것이 필요한데 가장 잘 된 프로토콜로는 Millicent가 꼽인다. 본 연구에서는 Millicent의 구현 방안에 대하여 고려해 본다.

  • 본 논문은 컴퓨터에서 사용 가능한 가상 악기 제작에 관한 연구이다. 가상악기는 전통적으로 사용되고 있는 악기를 디지털로 복원하는 것에서부터 지금까지 존재하지 않았던 새로운 악기를 창조하는 것에 이르기까지 그 사용과 쓰임이 매우 다양하다. 가상악기의 등장은 전통적인 음악제작의 틀을 유지하면서 보다 쉽고 빠르게 음원을 제작하면서도 창의적인 음악의 발전을 유도하는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 기타(Guitar)의 한 음(미, E)을 녹음하여 컴퓨터에서 여러 음정으로 자유롭게 바꾸어 사용하고, 원음과는 전혀 다른 전자 바이올린 소리로 완성해 가는 과정에 대한 연구이다.
