Deposition and Sedimentology of the Marine and Nonmarine Sedimentary Rocks of the Pyung-Ahn Group, Kangweondo, Korea (한국 고생대 후기의 평안층군 퇴적암(해성기원 및 육성기원)에 관한 퇴적작용과 퇴적환경 연구)

  • The depositional environments of the Pyung-Ahn Group sedimentary rocks, Jeongseon-Kun, Kangweondo, Korea are investigated. The environments are understood to be characteristic transitional from a typical shallow marine to a typical continental environment. Such transitional conditions are also understood in various parts of Quaternary and modern environment on the earth. In particular, the absence of detrital feldspar sand grains in the Manhang and Keumcheon Formation Sandstone body is described firstly in Korea, and the fact and possible mechanism are discussed.

  • 취성재료의 마멸천이기구를 규명하기 위해 반무한탄성체상에 표면균열이 존재할 때 그 위를 헤르쯔 접촉하중이 이동할 경우를 해석모델로 하여 선형파괴역할을 도입하여 해석하였다. 해석방법으로는 표면균열을 인상전위의 연속분포로 치환하여 Erdogan-Gupta의 방법으로 균열끝면의 응력확대계수를 구하여, 취성재료의 균열전파조건인 Erdogan-Sih Criterion을 사용하여 그 전파특성을 해석하였다. 본 논문에서는 마멸율이 적은 마멸에서 마멸율이 큰 마멸로 전이할 때 급격한 표면손상과 마찰계수의 급격한 증가를 동반하므로 이에 대한 해석에 중점을 두었다. 해석결과는 접촉하중과 마찰계수의 증가는 표면균열의 전파를 야기시켜 대규모 마멸입자를 생성시키게 됨을 보여주었다.

  • 컴퓨터 통합 생산(Computer Integrated Manufacturing, CIM) 기술은 재래적 개념으로 생산의 3대 요소인 토지(Land), 노동(Labor), 자본(Capital)이외에 정보(Information)의 요소를 추가로 활용하여 설계, 가공과 조립, 검사, 저장 및 운반, 그리고 생산 관리간의 정보교환을 통합적으로 제어, 응용함으로써 전 생산 공정의 컴퓨터를 통한 자동화를 구현한 이래 총체적 최적 생산을 추구하는 생산 형태로 서 종래의 개념으로서는 양립된 생산성(Productivity)과 유연성(Flexibility)을 동시에 얻고자 하는 첨단 생산 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 나름대로의 전략을 수립 하여 어느정도 보편화 되어있는 기기들의 공정 제어(Process Control)및 통신에 관해 연구하고 이를 구현하는 소프트웨어를 제작하고 실험을 거쳐 검증하려 한다. 초기 단계에서는 퍼스널 컴퓨터 (Personal Computer, PC)상에서 프로그램의 실험을 하고 이를 바탕으로 다중작업 오퍼레이팅 시스템(Multi-Task Operating System)으로 의 전이를 꾀할 것이다.

'판화 예술 책-예술가가 만든 책전' 이모저모

  • 책은 무형의 지식과 정보를 담으면서 동시에 물리적인 형태를 지닌다. 정신과 물질을 동시에 갖춘 이 매력적인 형태의 책은, 그래서 예부터 예술적 심미의 대상이 돼왔다. 국내 판화가를 비롯한 예술가들이 책을 테마로 한 작품을 모아 전시한 '판화 예술 책'전이 지난 2월12일부터 12일간 서울 종로구 한국문화예술진흥원(원장 차범석) 미술관에서 열렸다. 김찬동(작가).임영길(홍익대 판화과 교수).고충환(미술평론가) 등이 기획을 맡고 50여 작가가 참여한 이번 전시회에는 오브제로서 책이 지니는 특성에 착안해 무한한 상상을 펼친 실험적인 작품들이 많이 선보였다. 책의 소재인 종이, 종이의 원료인 펄프와 수제종이에 주목하거나, 책이란 정보를 담아내는 그릇이란 점에 착안하며, 정보를 전달하는 운송기능에 초점을 맞추는 등 다양한 형식의 작품들이 눈길을 끌었다. 그 가운데 몇 작품을 소개한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 대규모 LoRaWAN 환경에서 무선 통신을 통한 단말기와 게이트웨이 간에 패킷의 송수신에 있어 시간 및 소비전력의 특성의 도출이 가능한 시뮬레이터인 LoRaEnergySim에서 LBT 방식의 미디어 접근 제어 방식을 지원하도록 개선하여 국내 TTA 표준에 따른 시뮬레이션이 가능하도록 한다. 이를 위해 LoRaEnergySim 프레임워크 노드의 상태 전환 모델에 LBT 상태를 추가하고 에너지 프로파일에 LBT 상태에서 소비되는 에너지 항목을 추가한다. 개선된 LoRaEnergySim 시뮬레이션의 기능을 검증하기 위해 임의의 패킷에 대해 상태 전환 모델에 따라 하나의 상태에서 소비되는 전력과 다음 상태로 전이되기까지 소요되는 시간을 도식화 할 수 있는 부가 모듈을 구현한다.

Runoff Analysis and Assessment Using Land Surface Model on East Asia (지표수문해석모형을 활용한 동아시아 유출해석 및 평가)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the applicability of Land Surface Model (LSM) for estimating the runoff on East Asia. Global geographical and weather data are used as input for the model and for the model verification, the simulated runoff results are compared with observed data from 34 global observation stations provided by Global Runoff Data Center (GRDC). K$\ddot{o}$ppen's climate zone is used to calculate the model parameter for ungaged basins. As a result, the simulated runoff shows good performance comparing with observed data in 17 basins assumed as ungaged basins. The Hydrologic components on East Asia area are estimated from the model and the continental water balance components are seasonally similar to each country. Also, it reveals that runoffs from southern China, Japan and Taiwan are much higher than those from mongolian and northern China.

  • The Samrangjin Caldera, a trapdoor-type, formed by the voluminous eruption of the silicic ash-flows of the Samrangjin Tuff which is above 630m thick at the northern inside of the caldera and thinnerly 80m at the southern inside. The caldera volcanism eviscerated the magma chamber by a series of explosive eruptions during which silicic magma was ejected to form the Samrangjin Tuff. The explosive eruptions began with phreatoplinian eruption, progressed through small plinian eruption and transmitted with ash-flow eruption. During the ash-flow eruption, contemporaneous collapse of the roof of the chamber resulted in the formation of the Samrangjin caldera, a subcircular depression subsiding above 550m deep. During postcaldera volcanism after the collapse, flow-banded rhyolite was emplaced as cental plug along the central vent and ring dikes along the caldera margins. Subsequently rhyodacite porphyry and dacite porphyry were emplaced along the inner side of the ring dike. After their emplacement, residual magma was emplaced as a hornblende biotite granite stock into the southwestern caldera margin. In the northeastern part, the eastern dikes were cut final intrusions of granodioritic to granitic composition along the fault zone of $^{\circ}$W trend.

  • For the development of design chart for drilled shafts socketed into weathered zone, the 6 bi-directional pile load tests with load transfer measurements done in two in-situ sites were performed. Also, DCPTs were performed in each test point. Maximum unit skin frictions and maximum unit end bearing capacities from pile load test results were analyzed. Inter-relationships between DCPT's characteristics were also analyzed. In the soils, the inter-relationships of maximum unit skin friction and DCPT appeared so low. But in the weathered zones, inter-relationships between maximum unit skin friction / maximum unit end bearing capacity and DCPT were so high that the coefficient of correlation is over 0.70.

A Comparative Analysis of Fact-Checking News Fairness in South Korean Broadcasting (한국 방송의 팩트 체크 뉴스 공정성 비교 분석)

  • To compare whether broadcast fact-checking news, which aims to overcome the limitations of objective reporting, ensures fairness, we analyzed 227 fact-checked news stories aired on the main news of KBS, MBC SBS, TV Chosun, JTBC MBN, and YTN from January 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022, when the 20th presidential and local election campaigns were held. The analysis showed clear differences in fact-checking targets and narratives by broadcasters. In general, MBC, JTBC,and YTN were more likely to favor liberal parties such as the Democratic Party, while TV Chosun had a lot of narratives favoring the conservative camp. SBS and MBN were relatively neutral. KBS seemed to be trying to remain outwardly neutral. SBS and TV Chosun were the most active in fact-checking, but they covered a wide range of issues and were characterized by a bias toward contextualizing issues that viewers were curious about, rather than clarifying the facts. The projection of ideological bias by broadcasters in fact-checking narratives is a challenge that needs to be overcome.

Imaging of Lung Metastasis Tumor Mouse Model using $[^{18}F]FDG$ Small Animal PET and CT ($[^{18}F]FDG$ 소동물 PET과 CT를 이용한 폐 전이 종양 마우스 모델의 영상화)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to image metastaic lung melanoma model with optimal pre-conditions for animal handling by using $[^{18}F]FDG$ small animal PET and clinical CT. Materials and Methods: The pre-conditions for lung region tumor imaging were 16-22 h fasting and warming temperature at $30^{\circ}C$. Small animal PET image was obtained at 60 min postinjection of 7.4 MBq $[^{18}F]FDG$ and compared pattern of $[^{18}F]FDG$ uptake and glucose standard uptake value (SUVG) of lung region between Ketamine/Xylazine (Ke/Xy) and Isoflurane (Iso) anesthetized group in normal mice. Metastasis tumor mouse model to lung was established by intravenous injection of B16-F10 cells in C57BL/6 mice. In lung metastasis tumor model, $[^{18}F]FDG$ image was obtained and fused with anatomical clinical CT image. Results: Average blood glucose concentration in normal mice were $128.0{\pm}23.87$ and $86.0{\pm}21.65\;mg/dL$ in Ke/Xy group and Iso group, respectively. Ke/Xy group showed 1.5 fold higher blood glucose concentration than Iso group. Lung to Background ratio (L/B) in SUVG image was $8.6{\pm}0.48$ and $12.1{\pm}0.63$ in Ke/Xy group and Iso group, respectively. In tumor detection in lung region, $[^{18}F]FDG$ image of Iso group was better than that of Ke/Xy group, because of high L/B ratio. Metastatic tumor location in $[^{18}F]FDG$ small animal PET image was confirmed by fusion image using clinical CT. Conclusion: Tumor imaging in small animal lung region with $[^{18}F]FDG$ small animal PET should be considered pre-conditions which fasting, warming and an anesthesia during $[^{18}F]FDG$ uptake. Fused imaging with small animal PET and CT image could be useful for the detection of metastatic tumor in lung region.
