Development of 4MW Class High Voltage Inverter System (4MW급 고압 인버터 시스템 개발)

  • This paper describes a new developed 3.3KV/4MW class three-level Voltage Source Inverter(VSI), which is equipped with IIMS(Inverter Information Management System) based on the world wide web and with the Virtual operation simulator. The algorithm for motor control is the stator oriented Direct Torque Control(DTC), which works without speed sensor and gives the physically fastest dynamic response. The IIMS have the functions of operation monitoring and data managements. Virtual operation simulator can analyze and tune the system characteristics without main power. Now, this system is under the field test to verify the confidence.

  • 바늘형 전극과 컵형 전극을 사용한 대기압 플라즈마 제트 장치의 플라즈마 분출 특성을 조사한다. 바늘형 전극은 원통형 주사기 바늘을 사용하였다. 컵형 전극은 냉음극 형광 램프의 전극을 사용하였다. 방전 가스는 Ar을 사용하고 가스의 유량은 3 lpm이다. 구동 전원은 DC-AC 인버터를 사용하고 구동 주파수는 40 kHz이다. 방전 전압-전류 특성과 전류별 플라즈마 방출 길이를 측정한 결과, 원통형 바늘보다 컵형 전극이 방전 개시 전압이 낮았으며 동일 전류에서 플라즈마 방출 길이가 더 길다.

  • This paper presents the h밍h performance [GBT type auxiliary jXlWer supply designt.'Cl by new concept. For t the simplification and higher performance, the direct :3 level PWlVl inverter using the high capacity IGBT and t the 32bit DSP are adopted. The cost as well as bulk and weight is appreciably reduced about 40% lower than t those of conventional one. the electrical efficiency above 94~) o and the audible noise level is less than 65dB.   • This paper summarizes development of a 10KW stand-alone power processing unit for 5KW SOFC-low voltage battery hybrid fuel cell power generation system. The power processing unit Includes three parts a high frequency DC-DC converter boosts low fuel cell voltage, a DC-AC inverter converts a dc voltage into a regulated ac voltage and a bidirectional DC-DC converter charges or discharges the battery. The converter topology, design, control method, and experimental result arc presented to meet the specifications such as efficiency of 90% and cost of $40/KW laid down for the "2003 Future Energy Challenge Competition" organized by the U.S. Department of Energy and IEEE. and IEEE.

  • Shielded metal arc welding machines with AC transformer have been widely used for thin-plate welding applications. Because of being bulky, heavy and of tap-changing property, so the SMAW's are changing to new power electronic circuits such as inverter circuit in order to reduce the system size and also to improve the welding performances at input output sides. The PWM inverter arc welding machine with diode rectifier has better output welding performances but it is has the plentiful harmonics and the lower input power factor. To solve these problems, input current-controlled scheme is considered for PWM inverter arc welding system, and then total input power factor is maintained to be more than 99%. Also a new combined control is proposed which can control both instantaeous welding output voltage and current under constant power condition, and as a result the variations of instantaneous current and voltage can be reduced to very narrow range in the V-I curve relationship, and hence the variance of welding current and voltage become so reduced. In addition the spatter generated during welding process is greatly reduced up to 70%. And the overall effiency can be improved up to 10%, which becomes higher when the load is lower.

  • This paper describes a high performance voltage controller for 3-phase 4-wire UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system, and proposes a new scheme of synchronous reference frame controller in order to compensate for the voltage distortions due to unbalanced and nonlinear loads. Proposed scheme can eliminate the negative sequence voltage component due to unbalanced loads and also reduce the harmonic voltage component due to non-linear loads, even when the bandwidth of voltage control loop is a very low. In order to compensate for the effects of unbalanced loads, the synchronous reference frame controller with the positive and negative sequence computation block is proposed, and the synchronous frame controller with a bandpass filter is proposed to compensate for the selected harmonic frequency of output voltage. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme has been investigated and verified through computer simulations and experiments by a 30kVA UPS.

  • 고립운전이 발생하면 고립운전 자체로 안전성 문제가 발생 할 뿐만 아니라, 기존의 계통과 재결합에 있어 계통과의 위상차 및 전압차로 인한 기기손상 및 안전의 문제가 야기되므로, 고립운전을 감지할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 이번 논문에서는 인버터를 기반으로 하는 분산전원의 고조파 성분을 이용하여 기존의 고립운전 감지기술로는 찾아내지 못하는 고립운전 상태를 감지하는 방법을 기술한다. 또한 외적작용이 없는 방법(passive method)을 사용함으로써, 능동적 고립운전 감지기법(active method)으로 인한 시스템의 안정성 저하문제를 근본적으로 해결한다.

  • This paper describes the improvement of power control characteristics of ship's emergency lighting power supply(SELPS), by which electric power is controlled extensively, and power ON-OFF is controlled and system parameter monitored in remote distance by PC serial communication. Proposed system is composed of step-down converter(SDC), emergency power supply circuit(EPSC), half bridge(HB) inverter, fluorescent lamp(FL) starting circuit, microprocessor control and multi communication circuit. Experimental works confirm that relative system stops when over current is detected and speedy and stable emergency power is supplied when main power source cut-off, and controls input power up to 35[$\%$] by adjusting pulse frequency of the HB inverter, and ON-OFF control of multiple SELS, real time transmission and monitor of parameters as to voltage, current, and power values are performed appropriately by PC communication.

  • The problem of power factor and hmmonics are occurred in convelter system which used to SCRs and diodes as p power semiconductor devices. IGBT power device with selh:ommutation type was solved that problem. maintain the l input line current with sinusoidal wave CUlTent of input power source voltage. It was estimated that improvement of t transient state characteristics with feedfolward compensator added in the diode rectifier with single phase voltage type i inverter was used to simulation load. As a results it was verified that the transient state characteristics with voltage t type PWM convelter control was improved.

  • 최근 산업계에서 급증하는 전력수요와 부하의 다양화는 전원의 안정도에 악영항을 미치고 있다. 이는 전압강하는 역률 저하 유/무효 전력의 변동을 초래하고 타부하에 영향을 미치게 되므로 이를 효과적으로 보상할 수 있는 종합적인 보상 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 전력보상 시스템중의 하나로서 플라이휠을 장착한 권선형 유도기의 2차 여자방식을 제시한다. 본 시스템은 전동기 2차 여자방식을 이용함으로서 기존의 정지형 보상기에 비하여 인버터의 용량을 기존의 것보다 수배 감소시킬 수 있는 장점이 있으며 히스테리시스 전류제어기를 사용하여 직접 전류제어기를 사용하여 직접전류 제어방식을 이용하므로 기존의 시스템과 비교하여 PI제어기의 게인선정의 어려움을 극복하고 제어 알고리즘을 간략화 할 수 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 또한 전력을 보상하기 위한 에너지 저장요소로 플라이휠의 관성에너지를 사용함으로서 기존의 배터리 방식의 무정전 전원공급장치를 대신하는 효과를 보인다. 설계된 시스템과 제어방식은 시뮬레시션을 통하여 입증하였다.
