The Scheduling Algorithm for Operating the Facility of Exhibition and Convention (전시.컨벤션 시설의 합리적 운영을 위한 스케줄링 개발)

  • The research of scheduling algorithms for operating the facility of exhibition and convention can be hardly found in published papers. This study is to find problems in the process of operating the facility of exhibition and convention and to develop the scheduling algorithm satisfying those problems. The scheduling algorithm of this paper is developed through constructing the mathematical model and analyzing the mathematical structure of variables and constraints in that model. The scheduling algorithm developed in this paper consists of the first stage of scheduling, the second stage of feasibility routine and the third stage of improving scheduling results. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the scheduling algorithm developed in this paper.

  • 국내 최대 규모로 펼쳐지는 인쇄인의 축제, 제18회 국제인쇄산업대전 KIPES 2011이 이번 달 28일부터 10월 1일까지 일산 KINTEX 전시장에서 개최된다. 이번 KIPES 2011 전시회는 KINTEX 제1전시장 Hall 5에서 1만1천$m^2$의 규모로 개최될 뿐만 아니라 KINTEX 제2전시장 개장과 함께 한국컨벤션산업 사상 가장 큰 규모인 10만8천$m^2$의 규모로 2011한국산업대전으로 개최된다. 따라서 KIPES 2011 비롯, 국제플라스틱 고무산업전, 한국기계전, 국제종합공구전, 금속산업대전, 국제종합전기기기전이 합동으로 개최됨에 따라 제1회 한국산업대전은 국내바이어 15만명, 해외바이어 5천명이 참관할 것으로 보이는 만큼 KIPES 2011의 발전 시너지 역시 클 것으로 기대되고 있다. 1977년 국내에서는 처음으로 전문산업전시회의 활성화를 위하여 "국제인쇄산업전시회(KIPES)"를 비롯하여 전문산업전시회를 130여 회 개최해 오고 있는 김충진 (주)한국이앤엑스 대표이사를 통해 KIPES 2011에 대한 기대 효과를 들어 보았다.

  • Ethnic tourism is utilized by many countries to improve the economic status. Ethnic tourism in Xishuangbanna started from the 1980s and grew rapidly during the past 2 decades. Although many researchers had stressed economic and socio-cultural impacts of ethnic tourism on ethnic minority people, little was done to identify their subjectivities. This research revealed the social and economic benefits from ethnic tourism, representing the identity of ethnic minority people. This research investigated the ethnic groups' subjectivities toward ethnic tourism and identity in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China, using the Q-methodology. It was found that the community residents did not get much benefits regardless of the social welfare that ethnic tourism had brought about. Finally, this research also made several implications with regard to tourism management.

  • 딥러닝 기반 성별 및 연령 추정은 현재 다양한 응용분야에 적용하기 위하여 활발히 연구되어 왔다. 최근 몇몇 기업에서는 개인정보 보호의 문제로 성별 추정 서비스를 중단하고 있기는 하나, 사용자 및 관람객의 특성 분석등을 위하여 그 필요성이 계속하여 대두되고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문은 기존에 성별 및 나이 추정을 위한 유료서비스에 대한 특성과 사용 문제점 등을 세분화하여 조사하고 성별 및 연령 추정 기반 기존 연구들의 특성을 분석한다. 추후 이 서비스를 기반으로 전시 · 컨벤션 산업에서의 관심도 분석 및 재방문 의사를 파악하는데 활용하고자 한다.

  • This study was to segment The 2014 Korean Medicine-Bio Fair visitors based on fair quality factors. From the on-site survey at the destination, a total of 308 useful sample were collected and analyzed in SPSS 21.0. From factor analysis, the result shows 5 quality types of 'fair product', 'convenient facilities', 'accessibility', 'promotional information' and 'contents.' Also Three different segmented groups were derived form clusters analysis, which are 'accessibility preference group', 'promotion preference group', and 'high quality preference group.' The result of this study indicated that there were significant differences in demographic, satisfaction and behavioral variables between these three segments. More theoretical and practical implication were discussed in the conclusion section.

  • The exhibition and convention industry offers facilities and services required to host expositions and conferences. Currently, it has been greatly esteemed as a promising industry because it can produce a higher added value and maintain a pure environment at the same time as an aggregate of service industries. Like other industries, the need of digitalization and information system in the exhibition and convention industry makes it introduce ERP and MIS and nowadays ubiquitous related model projects are ongoing. In this paper, we conduct researches regarding the systematic introduction of ubiquitous related technologies through the service and information system identification of exhibition and convention industry, and analysis of value chain and critical success factor. We consider RFID, ZigBee and mobile related technologies as the ubiquitous related technology types and select the exhibition witness and the maintenance of facilities as the area of related technologies introduction. In addition, we propose a scheme used to analyze and solve the problems which could be occurred when ubiquitous related technologies are applied. The results of this paper could be used as a policy to nourish exhibition and convention industry, and a guideline of the host organizations.

  • Due to multiple information sources, external information search(EIS) is the key issue on smart tourism environments. EIS is more important on experiential goods such as exhibition and convention. Despite the increasing importance of EIS, very little is known about what is the more effective information source in this area. In this paper, we attempt to examine the relations of satisfaction and between both online and offline information. This research analyzes an empirical model including EIS, affective involvement, perceived usefulness, satisfaction to student visitors on exhibition experience. Hence, six hypotheses are developed to test the relations of EIS and satisfaction using the mediating effects of affective involvement. Specifically, we developed a research model by employing the Uses and Gratification(U&G) framework and tested it to understand how student visitors' involvement and satisfaction might be changed according to EIS. Survey data was collected from 203 student visitors on "2014 Expo KCCE" was used to test the model using structural equation modeling. The implications of our empirical findings for both research and practice are discussed.

  • 한국 젊은 천문학자들의 모임(Korea Young Astronomers Meeting, KYAM)은 지난 8월 18일부터 22일까지 대전광역시 대전 컨벤션 센터에서 개최된 제12회 국제천문연맹 아시아태평양지역 총회(12th Asia-Pacific Regional IAU Meeting, APRIM 2014)에서 부스 전시에 참여하였다. 부스에서는 자체 제작한 전통 부채를 방문자에게 배포하였으며, 천상열차분야지도의 탁본을 직접 찍어 볼 수 있는 체험 활동을 진행하였다. 이 활동을 통해 KYAM 및 천상열차분야지도와 첨성대와 같은 우리나라 고유의 천문학적 유물에 대한 홍보 활동을 수행하였다. 더불어 8월 19일 저녁 모임을 개최하였고, 이를 통하여 한국인 36명 및 외국인 24명을 포함하여 총 60명의 젊은 천문학자들이 모여 친목 도모 및 교류의 시간을 가질 수 있었다. 본 포스터 발표에서는 이와 같은 APRIM 2014 기간 KYAM에서 진행한 활동에 대해 보고할 것이며, 앞으로의 KYAM의 활동 계획에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

Differential effects on the MICE sustainability and customer loyalty perceived by domestic and international attendees (내·외국인이 인식한 MICE 분야 지속가능성과 고객 충성도에 대한 차별적 효과에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to explore differential effects of the sustainability perceived by domestic and international participants in the MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Convention, and Exhibition) held in the Republic of Korea and to examine the relationship between customer loyalty and perception of the sustainable MICE. In this study, 30 sustainability variables for the MICE were extracted and tested by the factor analysis, representing four underlying dimensions: economic sustainability, social sustainability, environmental sustainability and event sustainability. The results revealed that significant differences in these four dimensions of the sustainable MICE were perceived by domestic and international participants. The largest difference were perceived by domestic and international participants with respect to the environmental sustainability factor. The mean scores indicated that international participants tended to give higher evaluations than domestic participants. Second, there were statistically significant relationships among economic, environmental, and event sustainability factors and customer loyalty from the perspective of international participants. For domestic participants, only event sustainability had a vital relationship with customer loyalty. The study implied how policy makers and the MICE managers should adopt four dimensions of sustainability to establish a harmonious and sustainable MICE practices.

  • Expo, as one of the types of convention, is defined as the exhibition of which primary object is the public enlightenment. It displays lots of exhibits from countries around the world created or produced by advanced technologies, but its priority is actually on suggesting value of product, usability and creativity, not on seeking for purchasers of those products. Thus, the world's event Expo can be deemed as the place for educating visitors with various features in both current and future generation in terms of "experience". This study intends to grasp the attributes and elements of the host cities and to look into the formation of city image after being a spectator and the relation for suggesting systematic and rational measures on planning and promoting the Expo. For the foregoing measures, this study suggests effective management measures for Expo spectators by disclosing attributes of host cities, relationship with the formation of city images, and satisfactory relationship among Expo spectators. For achieving the purpose of this study, the relationship between spectators who visited the 'Cheonan 2009 Wellbeing Food Expo' and each element on the basis of the measuring devices deducted through a preparatory research. Based on the results deducted through positive analysis, it intends to expect qualitative improvement of 'Cheonan 2009 Wellbeing Food Expo' and to suggest measures for elevating satisfaction level of Expo spectators by displaying alternative elements for spectators' choice at the Expo and gives continuous suggestion on managing spectators.
