  • As an exhibition designer, clothing and furniture designer, and woman architect in Germany during the 1920s and'1930s Lilly Reich was an important pioneer of modern design and one of the most respected practitioners. In spite of that she has been until recently known primarily for the work she produced in association with the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, because his fame has overshadowed her own contribution. For the first time only after her own works have been presented by MoMA in 1996, her artistic world could begin to be illuminated. This study discusses not only her collaboration with Mies van der Rohe, but also her own work as an individual artist. The aim of this study is concentrated on two aspects, which have been unexplored in the history of architecture and interior design. One of them is related to her effort, the essential elements and principles of the exhibition design disciplinarily to stand and through this the methodological basis of exhibition design to found. Another aspect is the contribution to the functionalist architecture by keeping in harmony the standardization and the individualism. This study is purposed to re-actualize the interior-architectural ideas of Lilly Reich into the present context through the consideration on the collaborations with Mies van der Rohe and her own works and to illuminate her complementary efforts to the functionalist architecture.

  • Digital interactives in museums are expanding and user experience is becoming the focus of exhibition design. The purpose of this study was to suggest guidelines for serious games as a part of museum exhibits. To achieve this, studies on museum education, public space HCI, serious games, and universal design were analyzed by using content analysis methods. Results included 16 quality standards from cognitive, physical, and personal/social models. The findings from this study could benefit the design of future museum gaming interactives.

  • This study can be expressed by gathered and formed into the exhibition space's structure practical progress/ application. For the one model of fascinating exhibition's space thru inter-space's pertinent adjustment, production between spactator and exhibition constituent on an exhibition story-line, I adjusted the focus to follow mentioned methods systematically for the example; An exhibition space is completed to be very impressive and attractive space by proper adjustment and production of M-M/C interface in exhibition storyline. Quantity space is transfered into quality space through the transmission of an exhibition which can be define as the point of an exhibition structure. And also could de transferd into a bodily sensation space that inherent full of interactive constituent. Changeable exhibition constituents (exhibition item and text) that sporadically expatiated (not trimed, the original form) in the process of an exhibition structure draw much higer quality of the optimal solution in optimize process which is given when aggregate again to contextual flow of synthetic exhibition scenario. Reconstruction of individual exhibition constituents to the new story, that is, transference of exhibition text to exhibition context is inspirit to an exhibition by maximize the exhibition effect in connection can be systematized through carrying out an outcentripetalpart. However, since pattern of an exhibition structure that consequtively meet variety spacetime of an exhibittion environmental can't be exist, this study presents centralizing the exhibition plan of Korea communication pavilion of the annual Expo Comm Wireress Korea, sustained process from design proposal, research and analysis to synthesis, development, transmission and management to an example of an applying crystallization.

  • This study purpose is comparative analysis of environmental design checklist based on physical characteristics of the elders between Korea and Japan exhibition facilities. We were selected to represent the exhibition facilities in Korea and Japan and conducted field survey and understand the application status. The scope of the exhibition facilities space is entry, exhibition, public-service, educational activity and movement. And the elders physical characteristics are divided into 'sense(eye-sight, hearing, and feeling by touch)' / 'exercise (skeleton, movement, physical strength and muscular strength)'. Based on the checklist, we gave the score depending installation, part installation and uninstallation and then analyzed the average. The Results were as follows. First, Korea and Japan exhibition facilities are appear to similar and both above the average level. It is show that environment design reflects the physical characteristics of the elders. Second, exhibition space and educational activity space has lower score than other space, indicated most items are consist of the recommended. Most items appears as part of the preparation for this installed or uninstalled. Third, It showed that the installation is incomplete entries corresponding to the physical characteristics of the sensory area of the elderly (hearing). Therefore, there need to install additional information facilities such as voice, emergency call bell. • Exposition primarily reguires the basic understanding of the mutual effect between the conventional culture and the future-oriented change of society.A number of fundamental and general research articles exist which are related to the exhibition planning and design. Unfortunately, the concrete research works dealing with the large-scale international expositions are hardly found in the literature. In this connection, this research was particularly focused on the special exposition display and planning. The International Exposition, the World Design Exposition and the International Garden and Greenery Exposition were chosen in order to examine the conceptual characteristics as the proper examples creating the fantastic space and developing the new exposition display technigue. The Government Pavilion in the Taejon Expo , 93 was chosen as an example for the exposition planning. An overall research concerning the basic direction and structure of the exposition design, the exposition display and the special system technigue was carried out in order to represent the basic spirit and theme with the most efficient way.

  • In the past, companies concentrated their efforts on developing new technologies and producing new products. But new technologies in this information age do not make difference any more comparing to other companies. In this marketing environment, a company must appeal strongly their own image to the customers' brains to make better difference than other companies do. One of the best way to make their own image in the customer's brains might be outgrowing themselves of the one-way communication such as the printed-media or broadcast-media and preparing some space such as advertisement halls or pavilions where customers and companies meet each other and make mutual communications between both of them. Therefore, we need to study systematically on the design elements in the advertisement halls or pavilions. To begin with, we should lully understand the basic idea by looking up the reference literature. We case-studied on the basic of constructive elements of advertise halls of both SAMSUNG and LG Electronics Co. The purpose of this study is to realize that we can transfer effectively the company's image to the customers only if we fully understand company's business philosophy and vision in advance to start design the advertisement hails. We should also realize that it is also important to manage systematically the company's design strategic elements' to achieve its changing goals in more logical and scientifically way.
