Increased appetite for art and design due to improving the economic standard of living and industrial community recognized the value of art in the profitable aspect currently demands various exhibitions in various environments. These social needs and changes in corporate culture to meet the rapidly expanding opportunities for artistic exhibitions, and this modern exhibition outside of the conventional gallery requires more for designers to work with various exhibition spaces, and the opportunities are increasing further. Various types of exhibition space in the exhibition planning an unspecified environment best suited to each exhibit space has been designed to require. This comprehensive study of an environmental poster exhibition held in the Seoul Institute of the Arts, MA-block lobby during 2009.06.10-06.19 was a part of the international exchange projects between Seoul Institute of the Arts and California State University, Northridge. Planning and designing throughout the exhibition in an unspecified space for exhibition requires more creativity and flexible approaches than in the general exhibition gallery.

In recent years, with thedevelopment of digital media technology immersive experiential exhibitions that provide realistic and realistic exhibition experiences to the audience are increasing In this study, the representative cases of these immersiveexperiential exhibitions were analyzed with a focus on the elements of the exhibition design. We also introduced the exhibition case of 'A Hero's Adventure' which was held and operated by applying game design elements to thethe directing planning of an immersive experience exhibition. In addition, the effects and utilization methods of the exhibition that applied game planning elements such as challenges goals conflicts rules and wins and losses were considered.

In this paper, we propose digital exhibition contents for the aquarium, especially 'Gyeongpo Lagoon Ecological Museum'. We try to plan appropriate media contents that can be mixed with the aquarium storytelling. The aquarium must have special spaces that are not related with an exhibition directly but are necessary for survival of fishes such as a water circulation room. We design the special spaces using media contents and let visitors feel that the whole aquarium is in the ocean. First of all, we investigate the aquarium currently under construction. And then, we propose the appreciate media platforms and plan individual content. We suggest 3 types of media platforms, 3D water projection, interactive games utilizing Kinect, and a fog screen. Moreover, we produce 2D drawing concepts, 3D modeling images, and virtual exhibitions in virtual reality for the representation of the location in which those platforms are installed and the media contents we plan. The pre-visualization is helpful for the media platform construction and is used as a rough sketch to producing an animation shown in the exhibition.

국립현대미술관은 김중업건축박물관과 공동주최로 건축사 김중업을 조명하는 '김중업 다이얼로그'전을 8월 30일부터 12월 16일까지 국립현대미술관 과천 중앙홀과 2전시실에서 열고 있다. 그가 설계한 30여 년간의 건축물과 관련된 사진과 자료 3000여 점이 전시중이다. 전시는 학예연구사의 안목과 해석작업이 중요하다. 역사와 문화라는 재료를 요리하는 학예연구사의 안목에 따라 그 가치가 빛나거나 그 반대일 수 있는데, 이런 이유로 학예연구사는 전시기획에 대한 권한을 갖고 역사해석, 전시방법 선택 등을 하게 된다. 정다영 학예연구사는 2011년부터 국립현대미술관의 건축부문 학예연구사로 일해 왔다. 올해 베네치아 건축 비엔날레 한국관 공동 큐레이터로 참여해 '스테이트 아방가르드의 유령'전을 기획했으며, 이번 '김중업 다이얼로그'전도 그의 작품이다. 월간 '공간'에서 약 6년간 기자생활을 하고, 학예연구사의 길을 걷고 있는 그녀는 전시라는 매체를 통해 건축의 영역과 담론을 확장 증폭시켜 관계를 맺고 퍼트리는 어쩌면 당대 건축계에 가장 필요한 일을 해주고 있다.

아동 청소년을 대상으로 하는 대부분의 '우주'관련 도서들이 아직 현대 천문학을 적극적으로 다루지 못하고 있고, 과학관의 상설전시만으로는 천문우주 분야의 비약적인 발전상을 대중과 공유하는데 한계가 있는 것이 현실이다. IAU 창립 100주년을 맞이하는 시점에서 관람객의 시야를 넓혀주고, 내용에 대한 체험적 인지를 돕는 천문우주 기획전시의 필요성을 느끼고, 태양계로 국한되는 물리적 우주탐사를 넘어 은하와 우주 전체를 연구하는 현대 천문우주과학을 소재로 하고, 실제 연구방법들을 기반으로 한 체험요소를 연출에 담은 전시를 구상 중이다. 이번 기획전에서는 1900년대 이후 주요 연구성과들을 중심으로 인간의 우주에 대한 호기심과 탐구의 흐름에 따라 관람할 수 있도록 전개하되, 천문학자들이 우주를 연구하는 방법의 원리를 단순화한 체험 프로그램을 설계 운영하여 연구성과에 대한 주입식 정보 전달이 아니라 관람객이 주도적으로 과정부터 이해하여 결과를 인지하도록 하고자 한다. 또한 전시 공간을 주제별 연구실로 꾸미고, 실제 과학자들의 연구사적으로 의미 있거나 인간적인 에피소드를 소개하여 관람객들의 관심과 공감을 끌어내고자한다.

Exposition primarily reguires the basic understanding of the mutual effect between the conventional culture and the future-oriented change of society.A number of fundamental and general research articles exist which are related to the exhibition planning and design. Unfortunately, the concrete research works dealing with the large-scale international expositions are hardly found in the literature. In this connection, this research was particularly focused on the special exposition display and planning. The International Exposition, the World Design Exposition and the International Garden and Greenery Exposition were chosen in order to examine the conceptual characteristics as the proper examples creating the fantastic space and developing the new exposition display technigue. The Government Pavilion in the Taejon Expo , 93 was chosen as an example for the exposition planning. An overall research concerning the basic direction and structure of the exposition design, the exposition display and the special system technigue was carried out in order to represent the basic spirit and theme with the most efficient way.

This study compares the results of two Importance-Performance Analyses (IPA) on the convention destination images in Korea by meeting and exhibition planners. Meeting and convention planners carefully evaluate convention destinations by considering meeting room facilities, hotel service quality, safety/security, air transportation access and hotel room availability as the most important attributes of a convention destination. On the other hand, night life, exhibition facilities, scenery/sightseeing opportunities, food and lodging costs and restaurant facilities are considered as the least important attributes of a convention destination. The study revealed that convention destination attributes ranking is dynamic and continuous evaluation should be done to determine the current perception of the meeting and exhibition planners. Meeting and exhibition planners' importance grid of the convention attributes is dynamic and changed with the environment and needs of their clientele. In this study it was noted that the ranking for some attributes has dramatically changed.

The purpose of this study was to examine the importance and satisfaction of exhibition and convention destinations from the MICE(meeting, incentive tour, convention, and exhibition) planners. Overall, four results were revealed from this study. First, considering the importance of selection attributes, soundproofing, lighting, temperature, A V facilities, the space of main convention hall and exhibition were the most important attributes. Second, hypothesis 1 suggested that there were statistically significant differences in the attributes of convention destination selection based on the socio-demographic variables. More specifically, a statistically significant was found in the 17 attributes out of 5 factors and 4 demographic variables. Third, hypothesis 2 suggested that there were statistically significant in the attributes of convention destination selection based on the planning characteristics of MICE. For instance, statistically significants were found 9 attributes out of 5 factors and the 4 planning characteristics. Fourth, the regional space of exhibition and convention was the most influential to the intention to revisit, followed by exhibition and convention facilities and use cost. And also, considering the recommendation to the other MICE planners who recently have used exhibition and convention centers, the facilities was the most influential, followed by use cost and tourism space surrounding exhibition and convention centers.

In reflection of the current trend of times requiring the harmonization of nature, human being and scientific technologies, science museum has become more and more familiar to public and demand on it is also increasing. Information on the culture of science and technology is an engine for exploiting the future, particularly in the industrialized, informationalized and specialized society. Thus the science museum, the function of which is to convey such information, should be planned with the purpose of active and progressive communication. This purpose of planning can be achieved through well established process of the exhibition space production. This study focuses on the importance of the exhibition space production in the design of the science museum and proceeds as follows. 1. The concept of the exhibition space production is established following the review of function and the role of science museum. 2. The methods and the media used in the exhibition space production are suggested and the case study is made. 3. The scenarios for the exhibition space production planning are suggested and the effect and importance of the space production is enlightened. The result of this study shows that the space production increases the effectiveness of the exhibition in the science museum and that space production process should be reflected in planning the project.
