한국인이 만들고 전세계 석학들과 오피니언 리더들이 주목하고 있는 프로그램이 있다. 일반인들에게는 다소 생소하지만 논문이나 학술자료 등을 자주 작성해야 하는 교수, 연구원, 석 · 박사 과정의 학생들에게는 혁신적인 소프트웨어로 인정받고 있는‘스칼라스에이드’가 바로 그것이다. 현재 전세계 88개국에서 30만명 이상이 사용하고 있는 이 프로그램은 각주나 레퍼런스(인용문구 및 출처)를 자동으로 작성할 수 있도록 할 뿐만 아니라 전세계 200여 도서관의 서지자료와 원문을 손쉽게 입수하고, DB화 할 수 있도록 한다. 얼마전‘스칼라스에이드4 한글판 패키지’버전을 발표한 나도영 스칼라스에이드 사장을 만났다.

본자료는 Rubber & Plastics News 유럽 통신원 Bruce Davis와 R.P.N. 특종기사편집자 Chuck Slaybaugh에 의해 조사된, 전세계 타이어 제조회사 현황과 회사별 타이어공장소재지 및 공장별 생산능력 등을 개괄적으로 요약표시한 것이다. 그리고 본조사에서는 전세계를 7개지역, 즉 북미(미국,캐나다), 중남미, 서구(핀랜드포함), 동구 및 소련, 아시아,중동 및 아프리카, 대양주 등으로 나누어서 각 지역별 타이어 생산공장의 분석현황을 지도상에 표시하여 일목요연하게 알 수 있도록 하였다. 특히, 이번 조사에서는 각지역 전반에 걸쳐 잘 알려지지 않았던 타이어공장들까지도 자세히 조사하여 수록하였다.

In this study, we investigated the macroeconomic variables that affect housing prices thus creating a large impact on people's lives as well as the real estate market. For the study, the macroeconomic variables able to influence the House Rental Price (housing price by lease or deposit) were used for an analysis as follows: housing sales price index, household loans rate, total household savings, the number of employees and a multiple regression analysis was performed using a time series for each macroeconomic variable. As a result of the analysis, the House Rental Price was affected by all of four macroeconomic variables. The House Rental Price increased as each variable enlarged. In conclusion, this study may be useful for finding a solution for stabilizing the House Rental Price as well as for the establishment of efficient and sustainable policies for the housing market.

Benzoylformate was converted to benzaldehyde by whole cell enzyme from Pseudomonas putida KCTC 1751. We investigated the effect of the composition of the growth medium on th accumulation of benzoylformate decarboxylase in the microbial cell. We prepared a calcium alginate capsule containing Pseudomonas putida cells to develop a reusable whole cell enzyme. Pseudomonas putida cells were inoculated in the capsule and cultured in M1 medium for 1 day followed by cultivation in M3 medium for 3 days. The dry cell density reached 77.75 g/L on the basis of the inner volume of the capsule. The specific activity of encapsulated whole cell benzoylformate decarboxylase was half as high as that of free whole cell enzyme. The activity of encapsulated whole cell benzoylformate decarboxylase was half as high as that of free whole cell enzyme. The activity of encapsulated whole cell benzoylformate decarboxylase decreased 20 % after use for 20 batches and 40% after use for 30 batches. The dry cell density reduced about 10 % after 30 trials.

This paper investigates the effects of inflation on real estate prices, particularly the discrepancy between the sales and chonsei prices of housing, in an economy in which real interest rates are secularly declining due to the fall in capital productivity. When real interest rates fall, real estate prices rise relative to chonsei prices, and thus the well-known adverse effect of inflation, or the discrepancy between the value of financial assets (or chonsei principal) and the value of real assets (or real estate), is aggravated although the monetary authority maintains the same rate of inflation. This theoretical prediction can help explain the trend of the ratio of apartment sales prices to chonsei prices. That is, the stabilization of inflation relative to real interest rates appears to have contributed to the secular stabilization of this ratio in the 1990s, while the fall in real interest rates appears to have led to the rise of this ratio since 2001.

전세계 군용헬기 생산업체들은 장차 사양길에 접어들 군용헬기 판매시장을 대체할 수 있는 확고한 민수분야의 활로를 모색하고 있으며, 민수시장 확보가 지연되는 경우 군용헬기 관련 대형사업의 축소, 취소, 종료 및 순연에 따른 막대한 손실을 감수해야하는 실정에 있으므로, 향후 우리가 군용헬기 개발 관련 방위력개선사업을 추진시 이와같은 국제적인 현실을 감안하는 것도 바람직 할 것으로 보인다.

전세계 인터넷 이용자의 절반 이상을 미국 국민이 차지하고, 미국 국민 중에서도 44%정도가 인터넷에 연결되어 있을 뿐 아니라, 보다 놀라운 것은 전세계의 인터넷에 의한 revenue의 85%, 인터넷기업의 주식가치의 95%를 대표할 정도로 엄청난 지배력을 보이고 있는 것이 바로 그 증거이다. 작년 말 유럽의 EC가 제안한 "eEurope"나 금년 초에 일본이 제시한 "21세기 구성"이 미국을 따라 잡기에는 이미 늦은 것이 아닌가 여겨질 정도이다.
