A Study on the Naejeong (內庭) of Daesoon Jinrihoe Temple Complexes: Focusing on Literary Sources and Context (대순진리회 도장 건축물 내정(內庭)에 대한 연구 - 내정의 문헌 출처와 그 맥락을 중심으로 -)

  • The Naejeong, the inner court, which is one of the structures found in the temple complexes of Daesoon Jinrihoe. It serves the function of leading and controlling the operation and direction of Korean religions in general. Considering that the dictionary meaning of 'Naejeong' is 'a place to manage the affairs of the state from inside a palace,' the name and function of the structure appear to be in harmony. However, in the Daesoon Jinrihoe context, it is said that the name 'Naejeong (內庭 'Neiting' in Chinese)' is related to a verse from a Daoist scripture. It has not been revealed whether or not the scripture is historical, and what contents or contextual meanings it contains. This study tries to pursue this matter and introduce the original source of the Naejeong in Daesoon Jinrihoe as likely coming from Qianbapinxianjing (前八品仙經, The Former Scripture of the Eight Phases That Reveal the Means to Acquire Immortality). This scripture was compiled in Lüzu-quanshu(呂祖全書, The Entire Collection of Ancestor Lü). This text and its contextual meanings will also be examined. The origin of Qianbapinxianjing dates back to either the late Ming Dynasty or the early Qing. In those days, there existed a group of literati who worshipped Ancestor Lü because he had saved people and taught the art of immortality. The group organized Daoist Spirit-Writing Altars (鸞壇道敎) and invoked the spirit of Ancestor Lü. They were said to have been taught through messages received from spirit-writing sessions (降乩) with Ancestor Lü and several Daoist scriptures were composed by them in this manner. At Immortals-Gathering Pavilion (集仙樓) of Wandian (萬店) in Guangling (廣陵), China, some literati in that group conducted a spirit-writing session with Ancestor Lü between 1589 and 1626, and they produced a scripture which contained the passage, "A crow and a rabbit gather in the middle valley (烏兎結中谷) while a turtle entwined with a snake is in the inner court (龜蛇盤內庭)." They titled the scripture, The Five Movements and Filial Piety (五行端孝). This passage symbolically expresses the accomplishment of immortality in Neidan (internal alchemy) which, within the human body, combines the two energies of yin and yang which are Water and Fire in the Five Movements scheme. This kind of cultivation is said to be achieved only by maintaining the highest possible degree of filial piety. In this context, the Naejeong where a turtle is entwined with a snake (龜蛇合體) was a term that symbolically depicted a place wherein one transforms into an immortal through cultivation. The Five Movements and Filial Piety was included in Qianbapinxianjing after it had been compiled with the other scriptures containing Ancestor Lü's teachings. In 1744, Qianbapinxianjing was included in Lüzu-quanshu, the entire 32-volume collection of Ancestor Lü and printed for the first time. This underlies the belief in Ancestor Lü (呂祖信仰) which embraces the idea of the redemption of people, teaches the arts of immortality, and features Daoist Spirit-Writing Altars, filial piety, the art of Neidan, and the combination of Water and Fire.

A Study on the Concept of 'Loyalty and Filial Piety' in the Taoist Scriptures (도교 경전에 나타난 충효관 연구 - 『문창효경(文昌孝經)』과 『정명충효전서(淨明忠孝全書)』를 중심으로 -)

  • This paper aims to examine the loyalty and filial piety pursued by Taoists, focusing on the concept of loyalty and loyalty shown in Wenchang Filial Piety Classic and General Collection of Jingming on Loyalty and Filial Piety. After the Han Dynasty, the concept of loyalty and filial piety became the representative virtues that led the country and society to follow the ideology of Confucius as the dominant ideology. This applied to everyone from emperor to each individual. Taoism had different reasons for promoting the concept of loyalty and filial piety and these even varied from sect to sect, but generally, Taoism could also be said to emphasize loyalty and filial piety. Depending on the sect of Taoism, filial piety might be valued on its own or filial piety might be valued in conjunction with loyalty. In particular, defining Taoism was criticized for "forgetting the desirable behavior required in the human network of the world and severing relationships with various objects encountered in life." In this respect, the concept of loyalty and filial piety in General Collection of Jingming on Loyalty and Filial Piety, could be observed to emphasize 'filial piety' in conjunction with 'loyalty', and this shows the influence of Confucius' concept of loyalty and filial piety. At the same time, this shows the concept of loyalty and filial piety as reimagined by Taoism. The most fundamental aim of Taoism is to pursue immortality. However, as a prerequisite for becoming such a god, loyalty and filial piety, were practiced alongside 'gentleness' and 'humanity and trustworthiness.' Here, the Taoist emphasis on 'loyalty and filial piety', 'gentleness', and 'humanity and trustworthiness' is essentially the same as in Neo-Confucianism. However, seeking to become an immortal through these values represents a motivation that is different from Neo-Confucians who denied the pursuit of immortality. In this paper, loyalty and filial piety as understood and practiced by Neo-Confucian scholars will be compared with the same concepts in the Taoist context and the findings will be summarized via three categories. First, in the Taoist model longevity and the pursuit of immortality are seen as being closely related to filial piety. The reason why achieving longevity and pursuing immortality was considered closely related to filial piety is because this is a modified and enhanced reimagining of the Neo-Confucianist concept of loyalty and filial piety. The other is that Taoism's concept of loyalty and filial piety is richly supplemented with content about 'interactions between heaven and humankind.' When filial piety is practiced in this context, the principle of responding to the gods of heaven and earth is emphasized. At the same time, Taoism presents consequences for insufficient filial piety to parents or insufficient loyal to the king; disasters will be brought down by heaven. Finally, it is argued that the practice filial piety is necessary and should extend not only to parents to all phenomena in the world without distinguishing based on one's degree of intimacy to those phenomena.

A Study on the Problem of the Transformed Sijo Texts Haedonggayo and 'Eobusasisa' (시조 작품의 교감 간제 - <해동가요>와 <어부사시사> -)

  • It is extremely crucial in academic researches to clarify exact spellings and original contents of the works under analysis. In the case of Sijo, the works in different collections of poems with the same title prove to have been transformed in its spellings and expressions through the long period. Therefore it has been a very important step which should be taken prior to a research of Sijo that spellings and expressions of those works be compared and checked. In this point of view, I believe the book titled A Full Collection of Sijo. Yokdae Sijojunseo, written by me can be of great help to identify the expressions and contents. Moreover this book enables us to check authors and melodies of the works. This is a study on the aspects and phases of transformation of an original work by examining 'Eobusasisa'. The findings are the following: first of all, the number of collections including 'Eobusasisa' is unexpectedly small; secondly, how the original work was transformed and modified in various collections. A representative collection including 'Eobusasisa' as a transformed style into Sijo is Haedonggayo, where 38 poems out of 40 of 'Eobusasisa' are collected. All the modifications and changes have been checked in this study. To sum up, it is very important to compare the variations of a Sijo work with each other. It enables us to check up and to identify the writers, spellings, expressions, and melodies.

Literature Review on the Reverse (궐(厥)의 문헌적 고찰)

  • In Neijing(內經) the theory of Reverse(厥) was explained syncope causes by disharmony of emotions irregularity, deficient or excessive Qi(氣虛, 氣實) and blood disorder, it was the causes of cold hypersensitivity of hands and feet except coldness itself, include impairment of Qi circulation and the deficiency of the kidney weakened essence and blood, weakness and damage in the kidney essence, deficiency of the lower part and deficiency of the lower Qi as the major causes. In Shanghanlun(傷寒論) the theory of Reverse(厥) was divided into by disharmony of heat or cold reversal symptom. In Jingyue quanshu(景岳全書), causes of Reverse(厥) was Qi and blood disorder, damps(痰飮), alcohol and sex include syncope. In Dongeuibogam(東醫寶鑑), causes of Reverse(厥) was deficient or excessive Qi, impairment of blood circulation which means the deficiency of blood, essence(精) and blood stasis (瘀血), and disorder of gastrointestinal system which means malfunction of gastrointestine, damps(痰飮) and toxicity of alcohol. The rest of the causes include San syndrome(疝症), sun stroke(暑病) and heat reversal(熱厥).

  • A knowledge classification is based on different types of knowledge system. which depends on classified objects, purposes, times, regions, and scholars. The classified contents. however, do not show any significant difference in any times or regions, though there are differences in representation methods and in arrangement priority of representing knowledge, Knowledge or library classification reflects the structure of a contemporary society and is decided by social philosophy of the time. The basic structure of knowledge system in the past was formed in the ancient time, and since then, it has been continuously developed. In the course of this process, the development of studies has generated other branches of studies, playing a significant role in changing the whole system of studies. This kind of development will continue to occur and many new branches of information will appear. resulting in taking each category of knowledge classification.

  • In this paper. We describe a dataflow model for efficient execution of a functional logic language and a method of translation a functional logic language into a dataflow graph. To explore parallelism and intelligent backtracking, we us model in which clause and function are represented as independent dataflow graph. The node denotes basic actions to be performed when the clause and function are executed. The dataflow mechanism allows an operation to be executed as soon as all its operands are available. Since the operations can never be executed earlier, a dataflow model is an excellent base for increasing execution speed. We did decrease a delay time with concurrent execution of dependency analysis and subgoal.

  • This thesis is a study on the Significance of Pulse in Internal Classic(內經脈義) in the Chapters on Vitality of Pulse(脈神章) in the Complete Works of Zhang Jingyue(景岳全書) Vol. IV. The Complete Works of Zhang Jingyue(景岳全書) is composed of 64 volumes. Maishenzhang, the Chapters on Vitality of Pulse(脈神章) is composed of 3 chapters. The first chapter is the Significance of Pulse in Internal Classic(內經服義). The terminology, Maishen(脈神) means the Vitality of Pulse, which was introduced by Zhang Jingyue to emphasize that the keypoint of sphygmological diagnosis is the vitality of pulse. The Significance of Pulse in Internal Classic(內經脈義) is composed of 20 parts including Buwei(部位), Maidu(脈度), Sanbujiuhou(三部九候), Qizhen(七診), Liujingmaoti(六經脈體), ect. in Miraculous Pivot(靈樞). There are no commentaries in most of them, which is because there are explanatory notes in Leijing(類經). Therefore, I referred to explanatory notes in Leijing(類經) to study the Significance of Pulse in Internal Classic(內經脈義), and make a study as followings.

  • A LRT(Light Rail Transit) is one of the Future Urban Railway Development Project. The project's goal is to reduce a transportation congestion in the center of the city. New transportation is intensely required in order to overcome a limit of the ground transportation that is the existing public transportation, A LRT(Light Rail Transit) construction project to be based on an unmanned driving system is the large composition system that a vehicle, a signal, communication, electric, track etc. were organically integrated as echo-friendly urban transportation systems. It also put a huge budget, which is a large-scale infrastructure projects. It is international trend that Light Rail Transit projects apply a technique in System Engineering for a schedule, cost, quality elevations, and to approach in viewpoints of life-cycle from initial construction steps to operation, abolition. This paper intends to analyze RAM requirements taking into consideration ISO/IEC 15288 throughout life-cycle from concept, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance to the final phase, decommissioning, and the study seeks to suggest directions of efficient use to domestic LRT projects.

Sociopsychological factors associated with depressive symptoms among some urban middle-aged men and women: focused on social support and stress coping strategy (대도시 일부 중년 남녀의 우울증상과 관련된 사회심리적 요인: 사회적 지지와 스트레스 대처방식을 중심으로)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to identify the associations with social support, stress coping strategy and depression among some urban middle-aged men and women. Methods: Considering the regional distribution 4 districts of Seoul were conveniently selected for this study and a total of 329 middle-aged men and women participated in the self-administered survey. The survey questionaries included social support, stress coping strategy, depression and general characteristics. Results: Avoidance and problem solving strategies were significant independent variables to the men's depression scores, but social support was not significant. However middle aged female's social support more explained the variance of the depression scores than the problem solving strategy. Conclusions: Significant sociopsychological factors that affected middle-aged depression were different by sex and according to the results, stress coping strategy for men and social support for woman were significant factors on depression control in urban middle-aged population.

송본"상한론"에 대한 고찰

  • 본 논문에서는 먼저 조개미(趙開美)${\ulcorner}$중경전서(仲景全書)${\lrcorner}$중의 ${\ulcorner}$상한론(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$에 ‘초각(初刻)’과 ‘보각(補刻)’의 구별이 있음을 밝혔다. 초각본(初刻本)은 일본(日本) 풍산비부(楓山秘府)에 소장되어 있는데 오자(誤字)나 궐문(闕文)이 많고 서구(書口)가 일정하지 않다. 이것을 일본(日本) 안정삼년(安政三年) (1856년(年))에 굴천제모(川濟摹)가 새겼는데, 굴천제본(川濟本)(안정본(安政本)이라고도 함)이 중국에 미친 영향은 매우 크다. 조개미(趙開美)는 원판(原版)의 판목상(板木上)에서 오자(誤字)를 바로잡고 궐문(闕文)을 보충하였으며 서구(書口)를 정렬하였는데 이것이 ‘보각(補刻)’본(本)이다. 보각본(補刻本)은 현재 대만 고궁박물원도서관(故宮博物院圖書館)과 중의연구원도서관(中硏究院圖書館)에 소장되어 있다. 북경국가도서관(北京國家圖書館)에 소장되어 있는 것은 대만본의 마이크로필름이다. 1923년(年)에 운철초가 안정본(安政本)을 저본으로 삼아 영인(影印)하고 이를 송본(宋本)${\ulcorner}$상한론(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$이라고 칭하면서 많은 사람들이 헷갈리게 되었다. 1990년(年)에 류도주(劉渡舟)가 처음으로 북경국가도서관(北京國家圖書館)에 소장된 송본(宋本)${\ulcorner}$상한론(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$마이크로필름을 저본으로 교주(校注)한 이후에 비로소 송본(宋本)의 전문(全文)을 볼 수 있게 되었다. 여러 판본을 자세히 비교해본 결과 초각본(初刻本)과 보각본(補刻本)에 많은 차이점이 있을 뿐만 아니라, 초각본(初刻本) 사이에도 다른 점이 있음을 발견하였는데, 쉽게 이해하기 힘든 측면이 있다.
