Correlation between Personal Competence of Health Care and Quality of Life among Middle-Aged Adults (중년기 성인의 건강관리역량과 삶의 질의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between personal competence of health care(PCHC) and quality of life among middle-aged adults. Data were collected using questionnaires from 412 middle-aged parents of university student. There were significant differences in PCHC and quality of life according to educational level, family support, monthly income, exercise over 3times a week, subjective health status. However, religion and drinking made a differece only in PCHC on the other hand, sex and disease affected quality of life. All subdomains of PCHC had significant positive correlations with quality of life. Factors predicting quality of life among subdomains of PCHC were health perception, sociocultural relationship and socioeconomical involvement, which explained about 50.3%. These results indicate a need to develop programs to improve health perception, sociocultural and socioeconomical competence for middle-aged adults.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the external educational environments that small business persons had faced as well as the internal competences of Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), and provide with the directions establishing the small business college. To do so, the study employed PEST analysis and 7S model. As the results of this study, it was quite suggestive that standardization of curriculum and educational facility, qualifications of professional teacher, and rating system and specialization of the college should be considered in order to establish the effective small business college.

대한민국 반세기 연구개발정책의 변천

  • 본 챕터는 과거 50년 연구개발정책의 역사를 돌이켜보면서 한국 산업과 경제의 성장과정에서 연구개발정책이 어떤 역할을 수행했는가를 조명한다. 1960년 초 경제개발 5개년계획을 추진하기 시작하던 때부터 1970년 대 말까지 연구기반 구축기, 1981년부터 2000년까지 연구역량 축적기, 2001년부터 2020년 현재까지 연구개발 도약기 등 3단계로 나눠서 살펴본다. 연구기반 구축기간 중에는 연구개발 투자의 증가와 함께 본격적인 연구와 우수 연구인력을 양성하기 위하여 여러 국책연구기관을 설립하였으며 연구 단지를 조성하는 등 연구기반을 구축하는 정책을 추진하였다. 다양한 분야의 전문 연구기관의 설립 필요성이 제기되자 주요 분야 연구조직을 KIST 부설 형태로 발족한 후 독립 연구기관으로 분리하는 것이 주요 정책이었다. 연구역량 축적기에는 정부가 연구개발 사업을 기획하여 추진하였고 1990년대에 이르러서는 대학의 연구 잠재력을 조직화함으로써 연구역량을 축적하였다. 수출 고도화와 수출시장에서의 경쟁력을 향상해야 하는 기업들의 절박한 기술혁신의 필요성에 기인하여 기업의 연구개발 투자가 급속도로 증가했다. 2000년대에 이르러서는 우리나라 연구개발투자가 절대규모에서도 세계 5위국으로 부상했고, GDP대비 연구개발투자 비중에서는 세계 최고 수준에 도달했다. 이렇듯 연구기반 구축기, 연구역량 축적기, 연구개발 도약기를 거치면서 우리나라는 매 20여년의 주기로 연구개발 시스템을 시대 상황에 맞도록 정책을 혁신하여 추진함으로써 오늘에 이르렀다. 과학기술의 혁신은 산업과 기업의 성장에 결정적인 기여를 하였다. 정부의 도전적인 연구개발 투자는 정밀한 정책 기획과 추진이 병행되면서 그 효과가 발휘되었고 산업과 기업의 성장을 견인할 수 있었다.

Development of Core Competency Model for Adult College Students (성인대학생의 핵심역량모형 개발)

  • This study aims to develop a core competency model for adult college students. For this purpose, the core competencies of adult college students were derived by analyzing domestic and foreign literature studies. And the Delphi survey was conducted for the validity of core competencies. The SPSS 18.0 program was used for analysis. As results of the analysis, there are 11 core competencies of adult college students derived: communication, problem-solving and meta, interpersonal, personal management and development, digital information literacy, major knowledge, citizenship, convergence, character, professional job, and global. The core competency model of adult college students was developed by assigning numbers from 01 to 11 based on the results of the Delphi survey. Core competencies of adult college students were organically linked, so the cultivation of one core competency affects other core competencies.

  • The National Program for Excellence in SW is underway to innovate the software education system and cultivate software professionals with creative convergence thinking in response to the demand for software manpower. This program was started by selecting 8 universities in 2015, and in September 2022, 44 universities are participating. The Wonkwang University's National Program for Excellence in SW, which was selected for this project in 2018, adopted the SW competency certification system to strengthen SW competency and many students actively participated. In this paper, the SW competency certification system program was examined, and lecture evaluation in related subjects and the performance of the certification system were analyzed in detail. Through the analysis results, the performance of the SW competency certification system was identified.

  • As the informative society becomes intensified, the rise of the convergence security offers an alternative strategic correspondence to the technology leaks that are becoming more advanced, complex, and intelligent. In order to the convergence security to provide its efficacy, training convergence security specialists is essential. However, research on the subject has yet to be considered sufficient. Thus this research focuses on defense industry security specialists to define the duty and analze critical task as well as drawn and therefore the required academic level of the critical task was examined. These research work contributes to the competence development of convergence security specialists and further enhancement on convergence security training process of academic institutions and job training institutions.

  • This study is an empirical analysis of the cultural competencies of college students majoring in aviation services on their major satisfaction and professionalism. In order to focus on the cultural competencies of aviation service college students, who are rarely addressed in the preceding study and to see how cultural competencies have significant effects on their major satisfaction and professionalism, we divid them into six sub factors: willingness to participate, cognitive openness/flexibility, emotional control, patience with uncertainty, self-efficacy, and cultural empathy. And the mediated effects of major satisfaction on cultural competency and professionalism are analyzed to provide educational implications for cultural competency. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to apply to the education of aviation service-related departments, it will be a basic data to promote students' adaptation to the department and satisfaction of the department and to train global professional service personnel who can improve their post-employment work adaptability, job satisfaction, and service productivity.

Influence of Cultural Competence on Nursing Professionalism of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 문화적 역량이 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of cultural competence on nursing professionalism among nursing students in South Korea. Methods: A sample of 218 nursing students in three universities answered a self-report questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson's correlation analyses, and hierarchical multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Results: There were significant differences in cultural competence depending on the use of foreign language, having foreign friends, frequency of interaction with foreigners, multi-cultural education experiences, and level of demand for multicultural education. There were significant differences in nursing professionalism depending on grade level, satisfaction with major choice, college life satisfaction, and foreign language learning experience. There was a significant positive correlation between cultural competence and nursing professionalism. Lastly, significant predictors of nursing professionalism included satisfaction with major choice (${\beta}=.22$, p=.004), cultural awareness (${\beta}=.22$, p=.007) and cultural experience (${\beta}=.17$, p=.026). The regression model explained 20.2% of nursing professionalism. Conclusion: In order to establish desirable nursing professionalism, strategies for enhancing cultural awareness and cultural experiences in nursing education courses are needed both inside and outside the curriculum.

Evaluation of CM Capability based on Business Functions for International Plant Construction (해외 플랜트 건설사업관리 업무기능별 역량분석)

  • Ever expanding overseas construction is one of the most important issues for Korean construction companies. Among these issues, strategies for overseas plant construction have widely been discussed, because the plant construction has features of low competitiveness and high ripple effects when compared with other construction sectors. In this sense, the purpose of this research is to evaluate the CM capability of Korean construction industry for overseas plant construction. Fourteen construction business functions and four techniques were defined first. Based on these functions and techniques, CM capability was quantified for As-Is (2013), To-Be (2018) and Gap analyses. Findings of this research reveal that 1) capability for construction is quite competent, 2) capabilities for planning, design management, contracting, and risk management are found to be relatively low, where higher value can be added. In addition, it is found that R&D needs to be extended to develop systemized management techniques. It is also required to secure specialists and original technologies at national industrial level.

A Study on the Influence of Job Knowledge and Proficiency Level on Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention in Manufacturing Industries: For Manufacturing Employees in the S Company (제조업에서 직무지식과 숙련도가 직무만족의 매개효과와 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: S사 제조업 조직구성원을 중심으로)

  • Proficiency-centered manufacturing environment of the past is now expanding into that focused on expertise and knowledge. So the paradigm shift about human resources and management of them is required to maintain competitiveness and run the organization in a stable way. Many studies have shown that in various fields job competence has a positive influence on job satisfaction, but researchers' point of view is limited only to proficiency. With a focus on this situation, this study has analyzed empirically the effect of job knowledge and proficiency on a turnover intention and its mediating effect of job satisfaction in S company whose manufacturing environment is changing fast. The analysis has shown that the job knowledge and proficiency have a positive effect on job satisfaction and that job satisfaction influences a turnover intention. It has an important meaning in that by estimating the relationship between employees' job knowledge and their turnover intention, this study is providing a basic data needed to manage job competence of manufacturing labor force.
