The purpose of this study was to develop, implement, evaluate in-service program on the practical problem focused Home Economics program. This program is expected to contribute to the enforcement of high quality of teacher's teaching competency and to the readiness for the 2007 newly revised Home Economics curriculum. This study was carried into by followings steps: 1. Program development: Based on the program design, an in-service program of practical problem focused home economics curriculum and teaching-learning materials were developed. 2. Program implementation: The four days/30 hours in-service program was delivered in January, 2008 with 24 participants. Mentor teachers were arranged playing interface role during the program. 3. Program evaluation: Group interview was held and written evaluation was collected from participants, mentor teachers, and home economics curriculum experts. From the results of this study, it is suggested to promote understanding of theory relatively easier than delivered in the in-service program, to extend to a 60 hours program includes more activity and workshop, and to develop in-service programs for the beginner and the advanced groups separately.

One of the main goals of providing open access is to vitalize the exchange of academic information by allowing access to the scholarly research outputs for everyone without the legal, financial, and technical barriers. We regard the use of the institutional repository as an open access enabler. In this study, we tried to make the factors, which enable the successful deployment of the institutional repository, explicit. We utilized literature review and case studies to generate the potential success factors for the institutional repository deployment. We verified the factors by having in-depth interviews with the subject matter experts. The resulting factors were organized as organizational, political, and technical ones. The organizational factors included the strong open access support by the organization heads. Under the policy factors, a number of issues such as selection of the core contents, minimum quality control, protection of the copyrights, forming supporting groups through active advertising, long-term preservation, incentive, and mandate, were included. The technical factors included easy submission, support for interoperability, and support for the publication activities.

This study was done to explore deeply the essence and meaning of gratitude experience of mothers who cares child with schizophrenia. This study was analysed through the use of the phenomenological method of Giorgi. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and field records with five motheres who cares child with schizophrenia. Data analysis revealed 18 sub-components, 5 components: 'I'm like fallen seed on barren soil without gratitude', 'gratitude coming into bud like sprout,' 'gratitude grown up into a tree through tolerance', 'gratitude bearing fruit of self-sufficiency and desire', and 'gratitude getting much richer with giving. The results from the study contribute to promoting understanding of the gratitude experience of mothers who cares child with schizophrenia and will be helpful for development of positive family nursing intervention.

This study systematically analyzes job descriptions of hotel banquet service employees using DACUM. The expert group involved in the content analysis was comprised of 6 F&B managers working at deluxe level hotels. The period for this study was from May to June in 2010, and a group interview, an individual self fill-out together with a personal interview were carried out. Findings from the analysis were as follows; job duties for hotel banquet service employees extended to pre-task, on-task and post-task for each banquet function, safety management, guest encounter and self development. They included 49 specific job tasks which were divided into 5 different categories; 16 pre-task, 13 on-task, 10 post-task, 4 safety management and 6 guest encounter and self development It is suggested from the findings that advance training should be carried out for pre, on and post tasks.

VE is one of the most effective and systematic tool available to achieve the required function at minimum cost and manage in many industrial fields. The purpose of the preparation phase VE job plan is to establish a cooperation system referring to groups for the successful implementation of VE, and to achieve a common objective to collect sufficient materials required in the analysis phase. The Quality Model is used to measure the requirement of shareholders(users and owners)in the project. It also offers a guideline on decision making when executing the function definition, function arrangement, function evaluation, and the idea evaluation of VE. However, the current the preparation phase business confirms that the required items of owners and users has not suggested definite goals and directions. This study analyzes the problems of current work in the preparation phase from case study, survey and interviews of experts. It then proposes a new process after understanding the required items of owners, users and experts.

This study is aimed at developing a web-based management system of maintenance historical data, for effective maintenance performance and smooth exchange of information and communication between public facilities and public educational facilities managers. The current management state of maintenance historical data and its business process were investigated and analyzed, through interviewing with the persons in charge of managing each facility, by recognizing problems of maintenance historical data management that is able to be applied as a basis to judge facility deterioration and performance. In addition, this study suggests a maintenance historical data system of which DB may be applied to the practical business, by reflecting requests of the persons in charge of managing facilities, setting up the scope of system usage by facility, business phase and level of facility managers, and establishing a maintenance business process system.

Over the last few years, the major airports in Asia have been operating at or close to their capacity. As a result, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia decided to expedite the development of new airports. Accordingly, some of the existing airports have been completely used as other functions or purposes and the others operated as a domestic airport. In the latter case, re-development plans are needed for idle facilities. This paper evaluates the alternative options for re-development of idle airport facilities of Seoul Gimpo International Airport. The proposed methodology makes it possible to provide a practical and applicable evaluation of airport re-development plan. In particular, it can take into account the qualitative aspects of different interesting groups such as airport experts. passengers and airport peripheral community. The interview was conducted in order to obtain the different groups' view. To evaluate and select the best option of the airport re-development, this study adopted a fuzzy linguistic approach.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a wisdom scale among Korean elderly with high validity and reliability. Method: The process of the development of this scale follows: A conceptual framework was identified based on literature a review of the elderly and discussion with experts in physiology and sociology. Total 128 items were developed. Through reliability testing, factor analysis, 60 preliminary items, and 4-points scale were selected. By a means of the internal consistency for 60 items, 33 items were deleted. Finally, 27 items were remained. To verity 27 items, factor analysis, reliability testing, and correlation were done. Data were collected from 480 elderly subjects in Daegu, Kyungpook Province, and Busan, Kyungnam Province from August, 2008 to February, 2009. Results: From the results of the factor analysis for 27 items, 3 factors were extracted. These factors were labeled as 'empathic emotion', 'self-reflection', and 'bitter experience of life'. Cronbach's Alpha for the 27 items was .921 and correlation coefficient of ego-integrity was .69. Conclusion: An exploratory study of the variables related to wisdom among the elderly is needed for criterion validity of this scale. A study on wisdom for different age groups is needed for re-verification.

This study aims to elicit the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies that next generation should pursue to be nurtured through mathematics education as regarding the need for a national mid-term to long-term mathematics education standard for nurturing learners that can accommodate changes in the future society is emerging. The research team established the criterion for domains of mathematical competencies through the analysis of prior research, and then, refined three dimensions of mathematical competencies and the domains of each dimension through expert advice (9 people in total, 3 times) and focus group interviews (10 people in total, 4 times). After conducting a large-scale survey (295 people in total) which includes elementary and secondary teachers, professors, and researchers, etc., the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies were elicited. In order to utilize the vision of the future human being and mathematical competencies, five stages of research on the development and utilization of mathematics education standards were proposed. Cooperating with related organizations, securing the research project period and expanding the scope of research team composition, and providing web-based documentation of mathematics education standards will be needed for the follow-up studies.
