This paper presents the results of push-out test conducted for the perfobond rib shear connectors welded onto steel-concrete composite deck. Push-out test specimen consists of profiled steel sheeting, perfobond rib, reinforcement, and concrete. To provide longitudinal shear resistance between the profiled sheeting and the concrete, perfobond rib with a number of holes was used. The parameters considered in the design of perfobond rib were the spacing and location of holes, and effect of reinforcing bars placed in the holes. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed system, twelve specimens were fabricated and tested. Although the scope of test was limited in nature, the results of test have shown that the perfobond ribs can be effectively used for shear connection in the steel-concrete composite decks.

In this study, one-way shear tests were performed to investigate the shear capacity of amorphous steel fiber-reinforced concrete slabs. Primary test parameters were the shear reinforcing method(Stirrups or amorphous steel fibers) and shear reinforcement ratio(0.25 and 0.5%). A series of four one-way slab specimens including a specimen without shear reinforcement and three specimens with shear reinforcements(stirrup, 0.25%, and 0.5% amorphous steel fibers) were tested. The test results showed that 0.25% amorphous steel fibers improved the shear capacity, but 0.5% amorphous steel fibers did not improve the shear capacity compared to the specimen with conventional shear reinforcement of 0.25%. Additional study is needed to understand the variation of shear capacity according to fiber volume fraction.

The objective of this study which it sees direct shear stress and comparative analysis of flexural shear stress leads and it is a shear stress analysis which it follows in load direction of the structure which uses Perfobond Rib shear connectors. To analyze direct shear stress, five Perfobond Rib shear connect experiments were fabricated with five variables and conducted Push-out Tests. After experiments, mechanism of Perfobond Rib shear connector was examined and direct shear formula was proposed based on primary factors which influence direct shear stress. Also, for the analysis of flexural shear steel-concrete composite slab specimens were fabricated and static flexural test. Based on the static flexural test it analyzed the flexural behavior and the flexural shear stress it calculated. Direct shear stress and EN 1994-1-1 to lead and be calculated, it compared the flexural shear stress and it analyzed in about the shear resistance stress which it follows in load direction.

In the NRC (New paradigm Reinforced Concrete) beam, steel forms, main angles used as main reinforcements, and shear angles used as basic shear reinforcements are welded and assembled in the form of vierendeel truss structures in a steel factory. After the NRC truss frame is installed at the site, additional main reinforcement and shear reinforcement are distributed. In this study, the shear performance evaluation of the NRC beam was conducted through shear tests in accordance with the type of shear reinforcement of the NRC beam (shear angle, inclined shear reinforcing bar, and U-type cover bar). As a result of the test, the initial stiffness was similar before the initial cracking of each specimen, and all specimens were shear fractured. The shear reinforcements of the specimens exhibited a yielding behavior at the time of the maximum sheat force, and the shear strengths of the specimens increased as the amount of reinforcement of the shear reinforcement increased. These results show that NRC shear reinforcements exhibit shear performance corresponding to their shear strength contribution. As a result of calculating the nominal shear strengths according to KDS 14 20 22, the experimental shear strengths of the NRC beam specimens with shear reinforcement was 37~146% larger than the nominal shear strengths, so It was evaluated as a safety side.

Four series of fiber reinforced concrete beams without shear reinforcement were tested to determine their cracking shear strengths and ultimate shear capacities. Results of tests on 36 reinforced concrete beams (including 21 containing steel fibers) are reported. Four parameters were varied in the study, namely, the concrete compressive strength, volume fraction of fibers, shear span-to-depth ratio, and the tensile steel reinforcement. The effects of fiber incorporation on failure modes, deflections, cracking shear strength, and ultimate shear strength have been examined. Resistance to shear stresses have been found to be improved by the inclusion of fibers. Based on these investigations, a method of computing the shear strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete beam is suggested. The comparisons between computed values and experimentally observed values are shown to verify the proposed theoretical treatment.
Flat plate-column connections are susceptible to brittle punching shear failure, which may result in collapse of the overall structure. In the present study, a new shear reinforcement for the plate-column connection, the lattice shear reinforcement was developed. Experimental study for the lattice shear reinforcement was performed. Shear strength and ductility of the specimens reinforced with the lattice bars were compared with those of unreinforced specimens. The test results showed that the strength and ductility of the specimens with the lattice shear reinforcement were improved by 1.37 and 9.16 times those of the unreinforced specimens, respectively. These results indicates that the lattice shear reinforcement is superior in ductility to the shear stud-rail which is popular in U.S. Based on the test results, the design method for the lattice shear reinforcement was developed.
