로보트는 현재 그 이용이 다양하고 또 새로운 개발에 따라 점차 그 용도가 광범위함으로 용어의 뜻도 여러가지로 해석되고 있다. 단순반복작업이나 작업환경이 위험한 상황에서 시작된 로보트의 이용은 이제 모든 산업분야에서 또 나아가서는 모든 생활영역에서 그 활용가능성을 한번쯤 검토하게 될 정도로 인간의 현재 작업능력을 쫓아오고 있는 실정이다. 프로그램이 가능한 다기능 머뉴푸레이터라는 정의로 부터 생체의 운동부의 기능에 유사한 유연한 동작기능을 갖는 것이라고 정의되고 있는 다양성있는 로보트를 기계공학의 입장에서 살펴보기 위하여 우선 기계공업의 특성과 문제점을 서술하고 그 합리화 방안의 하나인 산업용로보트의 현황과 기계공학과의 관계를 알아보고자 한다.

최근 저궤도 위성을 이용한 세계적규모의 통신서비스 제공방식이 다수 제안되고 사업화가 추진되면서 신문이나 TV등 메스컴을 통해서도 내용의 일부가 소개됨에 따라 저궤도 위성통신서비스는 일반인들에게도 그다지 낯설지 않은 용어가 되었다. 그러나 저궤도 위성통신서비스는 생각처럼 그렇게 쉽게 구현이 가능한 것은 아니며 또 현실적으로도 아직 실현을 위한 준비단계에 있으며 구체적인 실현은 몇년 후에야, 대체로 서기 2000년전으로 추정되지만, 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 또한 사업성 전망도 다소 불투명하여 일반인들이 생각하듯이 환상적인 미래만을 약속하는 것은 아니다. 본고에서는 저궤도 위성을 이용한 통신서비스에 관하여 기본원리, 기술적 문제점 및 현안, 제안된 시스템의 분석 및 비교, 사업추진 현황등을 살펴보고 미래를 진단해보는 순서로 설명을 진행하여 일반 기술인들의 이해를 돕는데 조금이라도 도움이 되게 하였다.

본 논문에서는 IEV의 영어 기술 용어의 정의를 한국어로 번역하는 시스템의 개발 및 한국어 일렉트로피디아인 웹 시스템의 구현을 소개하고 있다. 작업 과정은 3부분으로 구성되었다. 첫 번째 작업은 IEV의 영어 정의를 한국어로 번역하기 위한 데이터베이스를 구축하는 것이다. 두 번째 작업은 한국 TC 1 멤버들이 개발된 컴퓨터 프로그램과 작업 데이터베이스를 사용하여 영어 용어의 정의를 한국어로 번역하고 한국어의 정의를 유의미한 수준으로 수정하는 것이다. 마지막 작업은 프로젝트 보고서를 위한 문서를 만들고 한국어 일렉트로피디아인 웹 시스템을 구현하는 것이다. 그 결과, 전자 용어의 영어 정의 20,996개가 한국어로 번역되었고, 이를 기반으로 프로토타입의 한국어 일렉트로피디아 웹 시스템이 구현되었다. 향후, 한국의 정규 일렉트로피디아를 개설하고 IEC의 일렉트로피디아와 연계할 필요가 있다.

체계화된 전기공사의 내역서 작성은 공사의 품질관리 및 공정관리를 원활하게 할 수 있는 기본이 된다. 공사의 혼란을 초래하지 않으며 업무의 효율화를 기할 수 있는 일목요연한 내역서 작성이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 내역서 자체가 가지고 있는 문제점을 해결하는데 중점을 두고자 한다. 즉 현행 내역서 문제점인 단위공종 및 규격의 표준을 제시 및 용어통일을 기하고자 하며, 주요 발주기관에서 운용하는 내역특성, 발주특성을 조사후 장단점을 파악하여 향후 내역서 간소화 및 단순화 작성의 기초적인 데이터를 확보하고자 한다.

용접은 자동차, 중공업, 조선, 건설, 항공 등 주요 기간산업의 기반기술로서, 금속가공분야 가운데 특히 접합부문에 특별한 의미를 내포하고 있다. 그러나 기반기술로서의 중요성도 불구하고 국 내산업전반에서의 용접은 비교적 낙후된 모습을 보이고 있는 것이 부인할 수 없는 실정이다. 용접이란, 금속가공의 일개공정을 의미하는 용어로 간단히 정의될 수 있지만 용접공정이 원만히, 성공적으로 수행되기 위한 준비되고 연구되어야 할 분야는 매우 복잡하고 다양한 양상을 띄고 있는데 우선, 모재와 용가재를 용해하기 위한 열원으로서는 전기에너지, 화학연소 에너지, LASER, 가속전자, PLASMA가 응용되고 있으며 그 에너지를 유효하게 용접에 이용하기 위한 주변장치로서는 TORCH, JIG, 각종 전자적 SENSOR각 활용되고 있다. 또한, 모재의 재질에 따른 용접재료와 소모성자재의 선택이 부수적으로 따르게 되어 각각의 분야에는 그 특성에 준 하는 학문적 이론이 광범위하게 적용되고 있다. 각종 구조물 제작이 용접의 최종적인 목적이라고 할 때, 제작에 따른 재료와 모재형상, 그리고 각종 기능적 요구에 부합하기 위한 열원, 재료, 용접방법, 검사방법등의 선택은 종합적인 학문적 이론과 실제적 응용이 뒷받침 돼야 함을 전제 로써, 본고에는 용접전반의 문제중, 전기용접기기 및 용접관련 자동화 설비의 현주소 파악과 문 제의 접근측면에서만 간단히 기술하고자 한다.

Based on classification systems of power and IT standard dictionaries, scientific and technological standard, SPARK, power IT fields of IEC and organization units of corporations, we propose a new classification system for the standardization of power of terminologies. The classification system consists of a hierarchical structure with general classification, application fields and specific technologies while keeping the conventional matrix-type classification system. Interpretation work of the power of terminologies confirms that the proposed classification system is efficient.
