Insulated Characteristics of PET Film under $SF_6$ ($SF_6$ 가스중 PET Film의 절연특성)

  • $SF_6$ gas has been widely used the gas insulated transmission line, gas insulated transformer and gas insulated substation and Polyester film used as the turn insulation with other material. $SF_6$ gas has been actively studied in domestic and foreign countries. In general, when dielectric surface electric field exceed any electric field strength on air, corona discharge is occurred from the dielectric surface. This paper presents the insulation strength of turn insulation of $SF_6$-PET film studied under application of AC voltage, constitute of the plane to plane with PET Film. The results obtained in experimental are summarized that Partial Discharge Initial Voltage(PDIV) of turn insulation depend on gas pressure, but Breakdown Voltage(BDV) did not depend on gas pressure.

  • We are going to design the Square Pulse Generator use of PCPS (Photo-Conductive Power Switch) for Blumlein lain. The circeuit is made of LC device and it is simulated by Schematics Evaluation Version 8.0 of MicroSim. After charged by DC voltage 15[kV]. When the switch is ON, Square pulse is generated after pause time 1.7857[${\mu}s$]. The square pulse is maximum peak voltage 13.987[kV], pulsed width 3.4017[${\mu}s$], rising time 0.7474[${\mu}s$], falling time 1.1718[${\mu}s$].

  • The surface breakdown problem has plagued the development of high solid state for more than 30 years, but the physical basis for this flashover phenomenon is still not understood. The only way to overcome those problem and has a workable compact solid state switch is to passivate the surface by a solid state dielectric material, to coating/encapsulation the device in an insulting medium. In this paper, characteristics of flashover in high field Si-dielectric system behavior under high electric field is discussed.

  • The preflashover light emission of the $SiO_2$-dielectric system behavior under high electric field is discussed. Time dependence of the voltage drop, electrical current, and light emission, are analyzed for high-purity $SiO_2$-vacuum systems under impulse voltage stress. We will summarize the experimental results showing the main feature of the time-dependent system response up to breakdown.

  • This paper describes the analysis of the device characteristics of the NPT type 1200V Insulated gate Bipolar Transistor. In case of NPT type IGBT devices, optimized n-epi layer thickness and concentration is important to obtain low on-state voltage and breakdown voltage characteristics. In this paper, we analyzed on-state and off-state characteristics of NPT type IGBT. Breakdown voltage of designed IGBT was higher than 1200V when we optimized Field Limiting Ring structures. And also, on-state voltage characteristics was shown less then 2.5V at 25A of drain current.

  • The economic value of a wind farm project is influenced by various risk factors such as wind power output and electricity market price. In particular, there is uncertainty in the economic evaluation of a wind farm project due to uncertain wind power outputs, which are fluctuated by weather factors such as wind speed, and volatile electricity market prices. This paper presents a systematic method to assess the economic value and payback period of a wind farm project using Least Square Monte-Carlo (LSMC) simulation. Numerical example is presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed economic assessment method for a wind farm project.

  • Low voltage phosphor, ZnGa$_{2}$O$_{4}$:Mn, was synthesized and sintered at the high temperature in Ar or vacuum. By XRD analysis, it is confirmed that poly crystalline ZnGa$_{2}$O$_{4}$:Mn solid solution was formed. From EPMA analysis of the samples prepared in Ar and vacuum, the change of oxygen content was investigated and as a result, it was observed that the oxygen amounts were reduced in ZnGa$_{2}$O$_{4}$:Mn prepared in vacuum. It caused the deficiency in oxygen amounts in the phosphor and then consequently, it results in the formation of the energy level near 513 nm. It contributes to the improvement of the brightness of ZnGa$_{2}$O$_{4}$:Mn.

  • This paper presents the evaluation results of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) system's power wheeling costs based on the postage stamp method. The results of several postage-stamp-based methodologies are compared where some of them are the conventional approaches. others are new approaches suggested in this paper. The approaches developed in this paper are suitable for a system where transmission transactions are occurred within a vertically integrated power system just like as Korea, Japan. etc. Also, they can overcome limitations related on the depreciation costs application. Test results show that the computed wheeling costs are around 4.0 [won/kWh] in 1995, and it is anticipated that the cost will increase when considering transmission network losses and ancillary costs.

  • 343 kV GIS 다빈도 조작 CB 내부에 접점이 마모되어 많은 파티클이 발생한다. 이러한 파티클이 GIS 네부에 존재할 때 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 이론적으로 근거를 제시하고, 이를 실험적으로 검증을 하였다. 현장에서 수거한 파티클을 설치 운영중인 PDMS 장비와 HAEFELY 장비를 이용하여 실험용 GIS에 삽입후 발생하는 현상들을 동시에 비교 분석하고자 한다.

  • In the distribution systems, the maximum power transportation capacity is restricted within 40MW based on two lines, because of the thermal current limit of a distribution line. Recently it has been continuously required to expand the abilities of the power transportation in distribution systems, as the number of large scale industrial complexes and distributed generations are growing. In this paper, we suggested the five alternatives combining two methods, laying the two bundle lines and adding another voltage between the 22.9kV and 154kV in distribution systems. This paper implemented the economic evaluations of proposed alternatives from national and customer perspectives. And then we compare the results with those of 154kV transmission system.
