A Study on Automatic Threshold Selection in Line Simplification for Pedestrian Road Network Using Road Attribute Data (보행자용 도로망 선형단순화를 위한 도로속성정보 기반 임계값 자동 선정 연구)

  • Recently, importance of pedestrian road network is getting emphasized as it is possible to provide mobile device users with both route guidance services and surrounding spatial information. However, it costs a tremendous amount of budget for generating and renovating pedestrian road network nationally, which hinder further advances of these services. Hence, algorithms extracting pedestrian road network automatically based on raster data are needed. On the other hand, road dataset generated from raster data usually has unnecessary vertices which lead to maintenance disutility such as excessive turns and increase in data memory. Therefore, this study proposed a method of selecting a proper threshold automatically for separate road entity using not only Douglas-Peucker algorithm but also road attribute data of digital map in order to remove redundant vertices, which maximizes line simplification efficiency and minimizes distortion of shape of roads simultaneously. As a result of the test, proposed method was suitable for automatic line simplification in terms of reduction ratio of vertices and accuracy of position.

Marital Status of Elderly: Does it Really Matter for Health? (노인의 결혼지위 점유에 따른 건강차이: 노년기 사회적 관계망의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Marital status has drawn much attention as previous studies have been pointed it out as a key factor of health. Nonetheless, systematic studies on elderly marital status and health have been quite limited, for most researches have neglected the varying effects of marital status on health over the lifespan and mainly focused on midlife. This study, using nationwide survey on elderly population, attempts to discover the health differentials between widowed and married elderly and explain the differences though the structure and function of their social network. The results reveal that the magnitudes of marital status effects were differed by dimensions of health. The widowed were more likely to be unhappy than married, even after controlling the socio-demographic characteristics. In physical health, however, the health differences between widowed and married were less noticeable or disappeared, as sex, age and other structure factors were considered. Furthermore, the strength of social network factors affecting the physical and mental health of elderly turned out to be different between married and widowed: widowed were more likely than married to be affected by the contact with children and less likely to be affected by contact with friends/relatives. Such results had both positive and negative impact on physical and mental health of widowed. This may imply the difference in pathways of regulating health among the married and widowed elderly.

  • In this paper, reasonable and effective building strategies of PPDR network is presented through investigating and analysing current policies for PPDR network of Korea and foreign countries. The research result shows that it is necessary PPDR network is designed and implemented considering currently transient status in aspects of PPDR-related technical roadmaps and existing PPDR networks. Also, in the transient period of more than 5 years, mobile broadband- based private PPDR network should be builded and it should be complemented by some commercial networks such as TRS or other mobile broadband networks.

  • Faster, safer and cheaper mailing of the postal matter is essential for surviving in the competitive market of home-delivery service. The Steiner tree connects points minimally in geometrical way and has been used in the distribution system optimization and optimal routing of the transmission lines of the electric power system. This paper proposes a method to select the optimal location of mail distribution center that minimally connect the local mail center of some major cities using the Steiner tree theorem.

  • 본 연구는 친족관계의 전반적 현황과 양계화 정도를 살펴봄으로써 친족관계 영역에서 변화하는 한국가족의 현주소에 대한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 전국의 성인남녀 1755명을 대상으로, 본인 및 배우자 부모와의 동거여부, 거주근접성, 접촉빈도를 비교함으로써 세대관계의 구조적 차원에서 양계화가 어느 정도 이루어졌는지 살펴보았다. 또한, 양계화 정도의 구체적 내용 파악을 위하여 가족의 협력 네트워크의 양상을 조사하였다. 즉 경제적, 도구적, 정서적 지원 영역에서 도움을 주고받는 대상에 대한 조사를 통하여 가족의 지원망 구성 및 활용에 있어 친족이 차지하는 비중 및 양계성의 정도를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 한국가족의 세대관계의 구조적 특성은 양계화된 모습과 부계적인 모습이 혼재되어있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가족의 협력네트워크 활용의 측면에서, 한국가족은 부계친족 및 모계친족과의 상호작용이 균형적으로 이루어지는 대칭적 양계화라기보다는 비대칭적 성격의 양계화 경향을 보였다. 이것은 부계중심적으로 규범화된 친족유대의 경향이 그대로 유지되면서 동시에 실제적 필요에 의한 아내의 친족망 활용정도가 높아진데서 기인한 결과라 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 한국사회의 빠른 변화에도 불구하고 가족영역에서의 변화가 상당히 느리게 진행되고 있음을 반영한다.

  • There are many problems of interoperability between ITS system equipments since the protocol standard for a network center and a node has not defined. In this paper, we consider the use of the SNMP to solve the interoperability problem, and apply the SNMP in the case of a CCTV as an example. Also, we defined its corresponding MIBs and accomplished the interoperability test, where the method of controlling the CCTV is explained and the data transmitted on the network are shown in a hexadecimal format. Our results are expected to be helpful for a guideline or feasibility test as nationwide data to support the interoperability of ITS systems between a network center and nodes.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a network weather map system, which provides a macroscopic view on the whole network topology as well as the network link status and utilization. The proposed system also provides distributed NetFlow-based database facility and Web-based query interface, through which network operators can check the detailed network router or link status as well as submit predefined queries to easily find out and locate heavy hitters and/or their usage. We believe that our develop system will be a useful tool for small-to-mid-scale ISPs or network operators, in managing their own networks in a cost-effective way.

  • 최근 기후 변화로 인한 기상이변으로 인해 가뭄의 심도와 지속시간이 길어져 이로 인한 피해가 가중되고 있다. 본 연구는 국가 물 관리에 필요한 증발산량 자료 생산과 특성을 분석할 목적으로 수행되었으며, 본 연구 결과는 국가 물 관리 및 가뭄 분석 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 2010년 국토교통부에서는 "국가수문관측망"에 증발산량 관측소를 포함하여 증발산량 자료가 정기적으로 생산될 수 있게 하였다. 계획수립 이후 일정기간 동안은 관측 방법과 품질관리 방법 등의 체계화되지 않아 전국적으로 확대되지 못하다가 최근에 와서 확대 설치되고 있다. 현재에는 증발산량 관측소가 한강수계 4개소, 금강수계 2개소, 영산강수계 3개소에서 운영되고 있다. 국토교통부 증발산량 관측소는 에디공분산 방식으로 구축되어 있으며, 자료는 30분 간격으로 생산되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 설마천 관측소의 3개년(2015년~2017년) 자료로 산지 증발산량의 경년 변화를 분석하였다. KoFlux 표준화 프로그램(spike 제거, 밀도 보정 등)으로 자료를 처리하였으며, 자료 보충(Gap-filling)은 FAO-PM, MDV, Kalman Filter 방법으로 수행하였다. 설마천 관측소에서 증발산량을 산정하여 산지 증발산량의 경년변화를 분석한 결과, 증발산량은 강수량과 순복산량의 규모에 따라 상이하였다. 또한 비교적 강수량이 적은 해에 증발산 비율이 커지는 특성을 나타내었다. 이는 가뭄 시 증발산을 왕성하게 하는 환경이 조성되어 발생되는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • In this paper, the fine dust detecting terminal which can transmit data in real time was developed. The terminal used a wide spreading LTE network and was powered by solarcell and battery for easy installation and independent operation, because it did not need the wired power grid or wired communication network. The data showed the possibility of forecasting fine dust changes by analyzing with the data from public meteorologic data. The developed terminal will be helpful for predicting and analyse fine dust's more precise flow and effect on environment with an easy installation on any places.
