This study was an exploratory study for the development of a competency-based social welfare curriculum. This study was conducted through a literature review focused on guidelines for social welfare published by the KCSWE (Korean Council for Social Welfare Education). The purpose of this study was to explore social welfare professional competencies, subject goals, teaching methods, and the participatory learning environment for the development of a competency-based social welfare curriculum. The findings are as follows. First, each university had been researching professional competencies individually. Second, the social welfare subjects tended to include all elements of knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and these goals were matched with professional competencies set by each university. Third, the guidelines for social welfare subjects provided various teaching methods to achieve the goals of the subject as well as a participatory learning environment based on discussion. However, it was difficult to determine whether the various teaching methods were effective in achieving core and professional competencies. Therefore, it is necessary for KCSWE to set up a standardized competency-based curriculum and research professional competencies based on social welfare, a curriculum and subjects according to their competencies, effective teaching methods, and a method for evaluating educational outcomes.

This study examined data science degree programs and courses offered by universities, and those offered by the Library and Information Science (LIS) degree programs, to understand its implications for the LIS programs in Korea. This research assessed the status of data science degrees from 439 schools using the list released by the Korea Educational Development Institute in 2022. To be specific, this study analyzed universities, colleges, majors, sub-majors, interdisciplinary majors, convergence majors, micro-degrees, nanodegrees, tracks, modules, and industry-university cooperative programs within the data science field. This research examined 1,148 courses offered by data science degree programs and 1,325 courses offered by LIS degree programs. Data science degrees in Korea offer courses such as introductory, technical, practical, applied, and in-depth subjects related to data science. Although the LIS programs in Korea do not always offer data science, the courses included topics such as the introduction to data science, database, data visualization, data curation, metadata, big data, and information technology, when courses were offered. The researchers hope the findings of this study will be useful as a starting point for the development and revisions of LIS curriculum on data science in Korea.

Due to the rapid development of AI, autonomous vessels will be realized in the near future. However, the curriculum of nautical science in maritime university is not prepared for this trend. In addition, after the expiration of the mandatory boarding period, a number of junior merchant marine officers are leaving offshore jobs to find onshore jobs. This is a comparative analysis of curriculum of nautical science in maritime universities. Since most of seafaring countries ratified STCW 2010, nearly all themaritime universities train their cadets by followings the procedures required by STCW. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the curriculum of these marine universities in oder to confirm the appropriateness of our curriculum of nautical science. This will ultimately be used as a reference for the development of an ideal curriculum to prepare for rapid technological development and to prepare for a job on the ground.

The purpose of this study is to make proposal an oriented-market curriculum of related dance major through analyzing the current curriculum and graduates' employment rate and occupational category of ten universities for last 3 years. This study suggested that Employment rate of the related-dance department graduates decreased considerably last year, which frist asked health insurance for calculating employment rate compared with 2008, 2009 year. The occupational category which is related dance occupied over half of whole occupation and office and sport job were taken to scale. It was necessarily to set up subjects such as body structure and function, administration, management, IT, integration, performance project, pedologics, and gerontology to meet the demand of times. The development of new job market which is connected with related-job subjects will be needed to increase employment rate and variety of occupational category of graduates from dance department.

본 연구는 4년제 대학의 경영정보학과에서 개설해야 할 전공과목에 있어서 교수와 현업의 실무자간에 어떠한 인식의 차이가 있는가에 대하여 연구하였다. 특히 경영정보학과에서 개설해야 하는 전공과목의 우선순위, 전공구분(전공필수와 전공선택), 그리고 개설학년에 있어서 교수와 실무자간의 어느 정도의 인식 차이가 있는가에 대하여 실증적으로조사하였다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 첫째로 경영정보학분야의 교과과정에 관한 기존의 연구에 대하여 간략하게 살펴보았다. 둘째, 연구 방법으로서 조사대상, 자료의 수집방법, 연구가설, 그리고 자료의 분석방법에 관하여 언급하였다. 셋째, 연구결과로서 표본의 특성, 주요 전공과목의 학년 및 전공별 분류, 그리고 가설검정의 결과에 대하여 구체적으로 논하였다. 특히 연구가설은 (1)전공과목의 우선순위에 관한가설, (2) 전공과목의 구분(전공필수, 전공선택)에 관한 가설, 그리고 (3) 전공과목의 개설학년에 관한 가설로 세분하여 구체적으로 검정하였다. 끝으로 , 본 연구의 결과를 요약하였고 향후 연구방향에 대하여 언급하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to improve the curriculum efficiently and to raise the level of students's satisfaction by studying the correlation between MSC and major courses. For this, we compared the student's grades for those courses. Furthermore the level of satisfaction of the MSC subjects was surveyed. We found that one of dissatisfactions was due to the student's low recognition about the Accredited Program. So efforts to raise the student's satisfaction abouts the program should be done continuously and an in-depth study about MSC and major courses is necessary instead of just offering the required subjects.

This study analyzed the current state of interior design as a major at vocational high schools, colleges, and universities to improve their curricula. The questionnaires of students, teachers, and interior designers were collected and frequency distribution and mean were used to analyze the data. Result showed that the alloted times with major fields were high, but those with classes related to interior design were comparatively low at vocational school. Vocational schools did not seem to supply the systemic and qualified major equation for the students who wanted to engage in interior design fields. Therefore curricula reflecting the demand of designers working for interior design companies and students should be made. Additionally practical education contents based on interior design field and achievement of certification should be developed to vitalize the vocational school.

This study present the standard curriculum for civil engineering considering korean education environment. The flow charts of USA's 20 universities and Korea's 6 universities are investigated. The standard curriculum are proposed based on the civil engineering curriculum of USA and Korea though analyzing of subject division, major field, and major subject. The proposed standard curriculum is expected when used to improve korean universities curriculum.

본 논문에서는 새롭게 떠오르고 있는 대중음악계의 K-Pop이라는 트렌드 속에서 전문대학이 이 특정한 분야의 학과 또는 전공을 개설하려고 하는 시도에 대한 제안적인 연구이다. 실용음악과와 방송연예과 등 기존의 유관 학과 및 전공과의 유사점과 차별성을 잘 활용하여 교과과정을 만든다면 K-Pop 전공이 대학에 개설되는 것이 불가능한 일은 아닐 것이다.

This study aimed to investigate major satisfaction and career maturity according to the values of college students majoring in food management and culinary arts. To do this, frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression were conducted and analyzed using SPSS18.0 program. Analysis results indicate that the values of the college students majoring in dining and culinary education have effects on major satisfaction and career maturity. In particular, pragmatic value is a very important factor in increasing major satisfaction and career maturity, and social recognition and curriculum factors are very significant for students to make career decisions. Therefore, in order to enhance college students' major satisfaction and career maturity, it's necessary to teach sound values so that they can build self-esteem value. Also, it's essential to organize subject contents and curriculums in which theory and practice are allocated properly so that students can be interested in their majors and have new experience as well as the community's right recognition for college students majoring in dinning and culinary education and their active interest as the study suggests.
