  • In this paper, a complex fuzzy adaptive decision feedback equalizer(CFADFE) based on the LMS algorithm is proposed. The propoed equalizer is based on the complex fuzzy adaptive equalizer. The CFADFE isconstructed from a set of changeable complex fuzzy IF-THEN rules, where the 'IF' part of the rule is characterized by the state from a set of changealble complex fuzzy IF-THEN rules, where the 'IF' part of the rule is characterized by the state of the desision feedback. the role of decision feedback is to reduce the computational complexity. Computer simulation of the decision feedback. The role of decision feedback is to reduce the computational complexity. Computer simulation shosw that the CFADFE notonly reduces the computational complexity but also improves the performance compared with the conventional complex fuzzy adaptive equalizers. We also show that the adaptation speed is greatly improved by incorporating some linguistic information about the channel into the equalzer. It is applied to M-ary QAM digital communication system with linear and nonlinear complex channel characteristics.

  • The introduction of a digiral subscriber loop transmission system necessitates an optimized line interface solution. To meet this objective an adaptive line equalizer has been developed. The equalizer can be compensated up to 42 dB line loss at 200KHz, and operated up to 3.2 Km transmission length (0.4 mm\ulcornercable)at a rate of 400Kb/s. This has been builted using a variable \ulcorner equalizer to compensate a frequency-attenuation characteristics of metallic cable, an AGC (automatic gain control) circuits with simple control algorithm, and various filters to minimize a transmission constraints over subscriber loop. The purpose of this paper is to present a short description of a design of the adaptive line equalizer with a summary of implementation results. Some design concepts and considerations which results in an implementation of the equalizer are also given.

  • A key issue toward mobile multimedia communications is to create technologies for broadband signal transmission that ran support high quality services. Such a broadband mobile communications system should be able to overcome severe distortion caused by time-varying multi-path fading channel, while providing high spectral efficiency and low power consumption. For these reasons, an adaptive suboptimum decision feedback equalize. (DFE) for the single-carrier short-burst transmissions system is considered as one of the feasible solutions. For the performance improvement of the system with the short-burst format including the short training sequence, in this paper, the multiple-training least mean square (MTLMS) based DFE scheme with soft decision feedback is proposed and its performance is investigated in mobile wireless channels throughout computer simulation.

  • This paper proposes a DTV receiver using beamforming techniques to improve indoor and mobile reception. The proposed DTV receiver estimates the directions of arrival (DOAs) of incoming signals using Capon's DOA estimation method and generates an adaptive antenna beam pattern to the estimated DOA of the mainpath signal to Improve the channel condition. After beamforming, a following decision feedback equalizer (DFE) removes the remaining multipath components. The proposed receiver can be implemented with a conventional DTV receiver without anymodification. The performance of the proposed receiver is analyzed with modified Brazilian field test models, which include DOA information of Incoming signals. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver can satisfy the threshold of visibility (TOV) when input signal to noise ratio is slightly over 10 dB.

  • Blind equalization techniques have been used in multipoint communication on which the research on the internet has focused. In this paper, a criterion of minimizing Euclidian Distance between two PDFs for adaptive blind equalizers has been presented. In order for ED expressed with Parzen PDFs to be minimized, we propose to use a set of randomly generated desired symbols at the receiver so that the PDF of the generated symbols matches that of the transmitted symbols. From the simulation results, the proposed method has shown superior error performance even in severe channel environments in which CMA has shown severe performance degradation. This indicates that the proposed algorithm can be considered relatively insensitive to ESR variations compared to CMA. As a field of ITL, ED minimization using Parzen PDFs has shown possibilities of being successfully applied to blind equalization.

  • This paper relates with the VSDA (Variable stepsize Square contour Decision directed Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm that is used for the minimization of the intersymbol interference due to the distortion which occurs in the time dispersive channel for the transmission of 16-QAM signal.. In the conventional SCA, it is possible to compensates the amplitude and phase in the received signal that are mixed with the intersymbol interference by the constellatin dependent constant by using the 2nd order statistics of the transmitted signal. But in the VSDA, it is possible to the increasing the equalization performance by adding the concept of distance adjusted approach for constellation matching and the cost function of decision directed. We compare the performance of VSDA and SCA algorithm by the computer simulation. For this, the equalizer output signal constellation, residual isi, maximum distortion and MSE were used in the performace index. As a result of computer simulation, the VSDA algorithm has better than the SCA in convergence speed, but it gives nearly same equalization performance in other index.

  • This study extends the modified linear feedback equalizer (MLFE), normally used for differentially coherent DPSK systems, to the equalization of double differentially coherent PSK (DDPSK) signals. By feeding back into the feedback part after modifying the equalizer output using decision feedback-based demodulation, the proposed equalizer can operate like an equalizer with a decision feedback structure. Simulation results showthat performances of the decision feedback demodulation-based feedback equalizer (DFD-FE) approach those of the DFE/coherent.

  • This paper describes a single-chip full-custom implementation of pipelined adaptive decision-feedback equalizer (PADFE) using a 0.25-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS technology for wide-band wireless digital communication systems. To enhance the throughput rate of ADFE, two pipeline stage are inserted into the critical path of the ADFE by using delayed least-mean-square (DLMS) algorithm Redundant binary (RB) arithmetic is applied to all the data processing of the PADFE including filter taps and coefficient update blocks. When compared with conventional methods based on two's complement arithmetic, the proposed approach reduces arithmetic complexity, as well as results in a very simple complex-valued filter structure, thus suitable for VLSI implementation. The design parameters including pipeline stage, filter tap, coefficient and internal bit-width and equalization performance such as bit error rate (BER) and convergence speed are analyzed by algorithm-level simulation using COSSAP. The singl-chip PADFE contains about 205,000 transistors on an area of about 1.96$\times$1.35-$\textrm{mm}^2$. Simulation results show that it can safely operate with 200-MHz clock frequency at 2.5-V supply, and its estimated power dissipation is about 890-mW.

  • There communicates using tire supersonic waves in tire underwater, that is different from tire ground that use tire propagation. Because using Law frequency to come under tire waves, bandwidth that is able to communicate is very smaller that tire mobile communication of tire ground. Also, The channel environment changes rapidly in tire shallow underwater than tire ground. Due to such a reason, data transmission technic that is able to tire maximum application to restricted bandwidth and tire signal processing technics that is able to conquer tire rapid changes of tire channel environment are being used. Algorithm is used at tire application of these technic has a lot of tire calculating quantity. So this research reveals small bulk and equal performance using one DSP chip and then implements QPSK transmitter, that uses SHARC DSP of Analog Device company, for tire underwater supersonic waves communication rapidly decrease tire calculating quantity.
