  • Most homepages of schools are available to publicize activities of education, to load educational materials efficiently. But we can't use current homepages of schools in making characteristic information or sharing educational resources. In this study, this I-CUBE system with RSS was designed and embodied for sharing characteristic educational activities and works in schools. Currently, I-CUBE is being under experimental test for sharing education activities and making community in elementry schools,.

The Relations mong Children's Resilience, Child Rearing Factors and Socio-Emotional Adjustment in Korean and Yanbian Korean-Chinese Shildren Separated from Parents (한국과 연변조선족 부모별거 아동의 탄력성과 양육요인 및 사회정서적 적응력간의 관계)

  • The focus of this study was finding out the relations among resilience of children separated from parents, child rearing factors and socio-emotional adjustment in Korean and Yanbian Korean-Chinese regions. Subjects were elementary school $5{\sim}6$ graders separated from their parents(184 in Korea and 81 in Yanbian). Data analysis was by Pearson's r, F-test and t-test. Resilience of Korean-Chinese children was higher than that of Korean children. Caregivers' child rearing behavioral factor than other child rearing factors was significant for children's resilience, and especially for Korean children, caregivers' child rearing psychological factor -efficacy and stress variables- were meaningful. Socio-emotional adjustment was significantly different between resilience high and low groups in both regions. Implications are that regional differences, caregivers' psychological and behavioral child rearing factors should be considered in supporting the development of children's resilience and socio-emotional adjustment.

Adaptive Binarization for Camera-based Document Recognition (카메라 기반 문서 인식을 위한 적응적 이진화)

  • The quality of the camera image is worse than that of the scanner image because of lighting variation and inaccurate focus. This paper proposes a binarization method for camera-based document recognition, which is tolerant to low-quality camera images. Based on an existing method reported to be effective in previous evaluations, we enhanced the adaptability to the image with a low contrast due to low intensity and inaccurate focus. Furthermore, applying an additional small-size window in the binarization process, it is effective to extract the fine detail of character structure, which is often degraded by conventional methods. In experiments, we applied the proposed method as well as other methods to a document recognizer and compared the performance for many cm images. The result showed the proposed method is effective for recognition of document images captured by the camera.

The Influence of Adolescent Self-Leadership and Manners on the Adjustment to School Life (청소년의 셀프리더십이 예절수행 및 학교생활적응력에 미치는 영향)

  • This research examines the importance of self-leadership and manners in enhancing the adjustment to school life in adolescents. The findings are used as part of a practical strategy to develop strong high school cultures. The data were obtained by administering a self-reported questionnaire to high students adolescents residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi. A total of 316 questionnaires were used as the final data for this study. Statistical analyses were carried out using SPSS/PC. The main results of the study are as follows: First, the adolescent's self-leadership greatly influenced the student's manners. Second, the relationship between self-leadership, manners and the adjustment to school life showed a significantly positive correlation. Third, a stepwise regression analysis showed that self-leadership competency and implementation of manners made a comparatively high contribution to the adolescents' adjustment to school life. Therefore, the degree of the student's self-leadership and use of manners in order to maintain harmonious relationships with others leads to a healthy and happy scholastic life for the student.

  • This study is planned to help women in international marriages to develop their sense of self-esteem and their family life and to adapt to Korean society, The findings are as follows: First, the women in international marriage tend to have low self-esteem and difficulty to adapt themselves to the society due to language barrier, cultural conflicts, sense of alienation, isolation and so on. however, now they seem to have the strength of mind by themselves, to accept other people and to adapt to the society better than before the education program by having had communications with the program members and their allied mothers in the program. Second, the cohesion among the program members per session has improved over the sessions, and the members' interest in the education program has increased. moreover, the members have opened up themselves over time. Third, the alliances with Korean teachers as their allied mothers not only helped their Korean but also taught the members about family life. It helped the members to adjust to their family life and became a mental support.

  • 최근 급증하고 있는 다문화사회에서 다문화 가정의 가족 구성원의 안정적인 상태로의 정착과 특히 그 자녀들이 '건강하고 행복한 한국인'으로 동반 성장할 수 있는 방안 마련이 현재 주요 과제 중 하나라고 할 수 있다. 무엇보다도 한국의 저출산율은 사회를 구성하는 문제와 인구 노동력 감소로 이어져 국력까지 약화시킨다. 이를 해소할 방안 중 하나로 외국인들을 부족한 한국사회의 인구로 보충하는 것이다. 다문화 가정을 통한 자녀 출산과 그 자녀들로 하여금 성인인구를 늘리는가 하면 다문화가정의 자녀들이 사회의 구성원으로서 올바른 성장과 건강하고 행복한 한국인이 될 수 있도록 돕는 일이 우리 한국의 심각한 사회적 상황을 안정적으로 잘 지탱할 수 있는 길이다. 무엇보다도 감정의 기복이 심한 청소년기를 겪고 있는 다문화 가정의 청소년들의 학교생활적응과 관련된 연구의 필요성은 매우 중요한 역역이라고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학교생활적응에 중요한 작용을 하고 도움을 줄 수 있는 연구들의 필요성에 관한 방안들을 모색하고 향후 연구에 적용함으로써 학교생활에 대한 적응력을 높일 수 있는 기초적인 자료가 제공될 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다.

그릿과 실책관리문화가 스타트업 구성원의 혁신행동에 미치는 영향

  • 본 연구는 스타트업이라 구분되는 기업의 구성원을 대상으로 그들의 혁신행동에 미치는 영향 요소를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 긍정심리학에서 중요한 변수로 다뤄지는 그릿(Grit)과 스타트업에서 특히 중요시 여겨지는 실책관리문화 변수를 중심으로 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그릿은 스타트업 구성원의 인내에 대한 노력, 조화열정, 상황적응력의 세 변수로 정의하였으며 실책관리문화와 더불어 스타트업 구성원의 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 위해 기술창업 기반 7년 이내 스타트업 재직자를 대상으로 2023년 12월부터 2024년 1월까지 설문조사를 진행해 유효한 305개의 샘플을 확보하였다. 연구모델 분석을 위해 SPSS 24 통계 패키지를 활용하여 그릿과 혁신행동과의 관계 및 실책관리문화와 혁신행동 관계를 분석하였다. 분석결과 그릿의 3가지 변수인 인내에 대한 노력, 조화열정, 상황적응력은 스타트업 구성원의 혁신행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며 실책관리문화 또한 스타트업 구성원의 혁신행동에 정(+)의 효과를 나타냈다. 하지만 통제변수로 활용된 성별과 연령은 혁신행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 본 연구는 스타트업에게 매우 중요한 혁신행동에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 규명하고, 스타트업 구성원의 개인적 특성과 문화적 특성이 혁신에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 파악한데 의의가 있다고 하겠다. 본 연구 결과의 의의는 스타트업 혁신행동에 미치는 새로운 변수들을 규명했다는데 있다. 하지만 7년 이내 초기 창업 기업을 대상으로 305명이라는 제한된 표본으로 연구를 진행했다는 점이 향후 스타트업 범주 및 표본 확대를 보완하여 후속 연구의 확장이 필요하다고 판단된다. 또한, 그릿과 실책관리문화 외에 혁신행동에 대한 영향 변수의 규명이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Development and Evaluation of the Home Economics-Relevant Korean Culture Experience Program for Adolescents with Multicultural Backgrounds - for the Improvement of Self-Identity and Social Adaptation - (가정교과가 연계된 다문화가정 청소년의 한국문화 체험 프로그램의 개발과 평가 - 자아정체감 및 사회적응력 향상을 위하여 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the home economics-relevant program on Korean traditional culture for adolescents from multicultural families for them for experience it directly, set up ego-identity and improve social adaptability. Further, we checked the effectiveness and efficiency of the developed program. First we developed the program composed of a total of 12 sessions based on experiencing Korean culture. It consists of largely 5 madang(parts) centered on themes such as Eowool madang, Hangeul madang, Play madang, Cooking madang and hostory madang. We ran the developed program for 3 months targeting a total of 18 persons composed of the adolescents from multicultural families and their mothers residing in S city of eastern area of Jeonnam province. We measured the participants' ego-identity, social adaptibility and participation satisfaction to examine the effectiveness of the program. The results of pre-test, post-test and satisfaction which are evaluation instruments used in this program are as follows. First, it appeared that the self-identity of the adolescent of multicultural families inceased by 0.30 from average score of 3.03 before the participation in the program to 3.33 after the participation. Social adaptability increased by 0.30 from average 3.11 before the participation to 3.41 after the participation. Second, in the program participation satisfaction, it appeared that first the middle satisfaction marked average 3.30 which exceeded median value at 3.00, meaning a little high satisfaction, whereas the final satisfaction had an averagescore of 4.03, which means a big satisfaction concerning the program participation. The results indicated that the home economics-relevant program was effective in improving the ego-identity and social adaptability of adolescents from multicultural families and supporting a role of as a member of Korean family.

Occurrence and Changes of Botrytis elliptica resistant to fungicides (살균제 저항성 백합 잎마름병균(Botrytis elliptica)의 발생과 변화)

  • Five hundred sixteen isolates of Botrytis elliptica were isolated from infected leaves of Lilium longiflorum from Kangwon alpine areas in Korea during tile seasons from 1998 to 2000 and resistance of these isolates against some fungicides were examined. The isolation frequency of phenotypes resistant to benomyl, procymidone, and diethofencarb were 90.1, 32.4, and 40.9%, respectively. The isolates were divided into six phenotypic groups; RSS, RRS, SSR, SRR, RSR and RRR, representing sensitive (S) or resistant (R) to benzimidazole, dicarboximide, and N-phenylcarbamate fungicides in order. The percentage of six phenotypes were 40.7, 8.5, 7.2, 2.7, 19.8, and 21.1%, respectively. The RSS phenotype was the most frequently isolated, and tile SRR consisted of the extremely minor populations. In comparison studies on tile overwintering ability of each phenotype in relation to the others, the most frequently isolated RSS and SSR had the higher fitness ability than the less frequently isolated RSR, SRR, and RRR. Recently, population increase of tile RSR and RRR phenotypes may have resulted from the increased applications of the mixture of carbendazim and diethofencarb to control benzimidazole-resistant B. elliptica since 1998. The results of this study indicate that careful application of the fungicides is necessary to achieve effective control of leaf blight on lily in Korea.

Comparison of the Efficacy of Intuitive and Analytical Thinking in College Students' Class Performance (대학생들의 학업 수행에 미치는 직관적 및 분석적 사고의 효과 비교)

  • The present study applied cognitive continuum theory to university environment in order to demonstrate that students' cognitive modes move along the continuum to be adaptive to the certain situation. This study also compared students' cognitive modes and the generally required modes in the university. The results showed that the students used corresponding cognitive modes to each subject even though they had different cognitive styles in general. It means that the students are adaptive to various tasks. And, the comparisons of the students' cognitive modes with the require4 modes in the university showed that the university tended to induce the students to use analytical cognitive modes. Therefore, the university faculty should be aware that they usually induce the analytical modes, and that they need to use various kinds of cognitive modes in order for the students to have adaptability and flexibility. However, the study did not demonstrate that the students would perform better when they fitted their cognitive modes into each subject.
