Evaluation on Applicability of Stress Relief Hole for Improvement of Fatigue Stress Capacity of Steel Structural Details (강구조상세부의 피로저항능력 개선을 위한 응력완화홀 적용성 평가)

  • In steel bridges, there are several details that constrain the deformation such as buckling by external forces. Most of these details which are composed of the intersection members have scallops in order to exclude the weld defects inherently and to get the ease of fabrication and also to decrease the stress concentration. In this study, stress relief hole (SRH) near stress concentration zone with detail category D or under is proposed as a method to improve the resistance on the fatigue crack initiation to detail category C. And the effects of the appropriate size and location of SRH were examined and the applicability to improve the fatigue resistance of the floorbeam web and the rib wall at rib/floorbeam intersection in the orthotropic steel deck bridge was evaluated.

고온의 염기성 수용액에서 Ni기 합금의 응력부식파괴

  • Alloy 600 및 alloy 690과 Ni-8Cr-lOFe 합금 등의 응력부식(stress corrosion cracking, SCC) 거동을 고온의 염기성 분위기에서 C-ring 시편을 사용하여 연구하였다. Alloy 600과 alloy 690을 여러 조건에서 열처리하여 etching한 후 탄화물의 분포와 입계 주변의 Cr고갈 정도 등의 미세조직을 광학현미경과 주사 전자현미경(SEM)으로 관찰하였다. 이들 재료에 대한 SCC 시험을 315$^{\circ}C$의 40% NaOH 수용액에서 일정한 부하전위(부식전위 + 200㎷)를 가하면서 수행하였으며, 동일 조건에서의 분극거동도 측정하였다. Alloy 600 MA(mill anneal) 및 TT(thermal treatment)의 SCC 저항성은 alloy 690 TT와 Ni-8Cr-10Fe SA(solution anneal)보다 낮았다. Alloy 600 TT 재료는 alloy 600 MA 및 SA 재료에 비해 SCC 저항성이 더 컸다. 고용 탄소농도는 alloy 600의 SCC 저항성에 큰 영향을 주지 못했다. 대부분의 Alloy 600은 균열전파 입계균열을 보였으나, 일부에서는 입계 및 입내 혼합양상(mixed mode cracking)을 보였다. 염기성 분위기에서 Ni기 합금의 SCC 거동을 미세조직, 분극거동의 관점에서 고찰하였다.

  • In this study, seven companies(A~G) designated as new construction technology selected and evaluated KS F 2622: Method of test for performance evaluation of membrane roofing systems that are similar to field application conditions. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that although all test specimens exceeded KS standards in the basic physical, it was difficult to obtain field quality performance in weak areas such as joints and vertical parts of the adhesive coating method in water-tightness, sagging resistance, swelling resistance tests except for fatigue(crack behavior) tests.

Analysis of Hydrophobic Membrane Fouling on the COD Loading Rates at the State of Passive Adsorption in Membrane Bioreactor (생물학적 막분리 공정에서 수동흡착 상태에서의 유기물 유입 부하에 따른 소수성 막의 오염도 분석)

  • This paper investigated the membrane fouling potential at the state of passive adsorption which is no permeation with the test modules on COD (Chemical oxygen demand) loading rates, examined the recovery rate and resistance on membrane fouling by three cleaning manners of hydrophobic membrane in a bioreactor. The results showed that high COD loading led to the increase of extra-cellular polymeric substances and filtration resistance. The permeability resistance from 1st day to 63rd day was getting increased, however, the value of permeability resistance after 63th day during the operation period was almost same level at three COD loading rates, it was due that the biomass adhesion on membrane surface at the state of passive adsorption reached to the critical state. Also, the final recovery rates after three cleaning manners were 78%, 72% and 69% at the COD loading concentrations of 250 mg/L, 500 mg/L and 750 mg/L respectively, and then recovery rate by physical cleaning at Run 2 and Run 3 was decreased after 40th day, it proved that biomass cake, which is not easily removed, was formed on the membrane surface because of high COD loading rate and EPS concentration.

Screening of Resistant Chinese Cabbage Cultivar against Clubroot (Plasmodiophora brassicae) for Cultivation in Highland (고랭지 배추재배를 위한 뿌리혹병 저항성 품종선발)

  • This study was conducted to select the cultivars and strains which are suitable in cultivation of the Chinese cabbage having good horticultural characteristics and the resistance to clubroot caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae, which is a widespread disease that causes serious problems in many Brassica growing areas. Thirty four cultivars and nineteen strains of the Chinese cabbage were planted in the contaminated fields in highland and investigated the wilting symptom due to the initial disease occurrence and high temperature. Disease occurrence rate and severity of clubroot and the horticultural characteristics were also examined. According to the results, Bulamplus, Kangryeokyeoleumbaechu among cultivars of Chinese cabbage, SP-05, SP-02, CR DB 50, and CR DB 29 among strains of Chinese cabbage were resistant to hot weather by showing delayed above-ground symptom (wilting) of clubroot in 30 days after transplanting. In case of below-ground clubroot rate, Daetong, super CR Kimi 85 and super CR Hiroki among the cultivars of Chinese cabbage were resistant to clubroot in 60 days after transplanting. When fresh weight of Chinese cabbage among cultivars were compared, super CR Hiroki of over 2,500 g was the highest among other cultivars. Although the resistant and susceptible reactions of Chinese cabbage cultivars and strains against clubroot disease were somewhat different from the above-ground symptoms (wilting) of clubroot in 30 days and below-ground symptoms of clubroot in 60 days, we recommend that super CR Hiroki, CR Kimi 85, CR Janggun among cultivars of Chinese cabbage and CR DB 50 and CR DB 29 among strains of Chinese cabbage will be more suitable in cultivation of Chinese cabbage in highland.

Basic Properties of Latex-Modified Concrete Using Fly-ash (플라이애쉬를 이용한 라텍스개질 콘크리즈의 기초물성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of fly-ash on strength development and durability of latex-modified concrete (LMC) and ordinary portland cement concrete (OPC). Main experimental variables were latex contents (0%, 10%, 15%) and fly-ash content (0, 10%, 20%, 30%). Air content and slump tests were performed to check the basic properties of fresh concretes, and compressive strength, flexural strength, rapid chloride ion permeability and chemical resistance were measured to analyze the basic properties of hardened concretes. The test results showed that air contents of LMC with fly ash decreased as fly-ash contents increased from 0% to 30%. Compressive and flexural strength developments of LMC with fly ash were quite similar to those of LMC without fly ash. However, the long-term flexural strength development of LMC with fly ash after 90 days were bigger than that of LMC without fly ash. Chloride ion permeability and chemical resistance decreased rapidly as the content of fly ash increased. Thus, fly ash could be used at LMC in order to reduce water permeability.

A Study of Web based Hot-Line Insulation Device (웹기반 활선 절열측정장치의 개발)

  • 기존의 기술이 Off Line 상태에서 대지 정전 용량을 포함 하는 영상 전류 방식의 절연 저항을 측정 하는 반면, 본 기술은 기본적으로는 부하 Line에 흐르는 누설 전류를 샘플링 하여 얻어진 계측 값을 기초로 절연 저항에 흐르는 대지 절연 저항 전류 Igr을 구한다. 이와 같이 본 시스템은 웹 기반에서 원격 감시/제어를 가능케 한 것으로 Line을 Off시키지 않고 절연 저항을 구한다. 이때 얻어진 절연 저항, 선전류, 각 상별 전압을 Local 계기에서 Display하고 통신 출력을 통해 원격지에서 측정 시 제어를 수행한다. 이러한 기술적 기반은 Igr방식을 채용, 기존의 Io방식의 결점인 누설 전류의 크기인 스칼라량 검출로 인한 정전 용량, 잡음, 그리고 손실 오차와 부동작 요인에 관한 한계를 Igr방식의 채용으로 극복할 수 있어 절연 저항 측정에 대한 신뢰성과 안전성을 도모할 수 있다.

Characteristics of SiGe Thin Film Resistors in SiGe ICs (SiGe 집적회로 내의 다결정 SiGe 박막 저항기의 특성 분석)

  • SiGe integrated circuits are being used in the field of high-speed wire/wireless communications and microwave systems due to the RF/high-speed analog characteristics and the easiness in the fabrication. Reducing the resistance variation in SiGe thin film resistors results in enhancing the reliability of integrated circuits. In this paper, we investigate the causes that generate the resistance nonuniformity after the silicon-based thin film resistor was fabricated, and consider the counter plan against that. Because the Ti-B precipitate, which formed during the silicide process of the SiGe thin film resistor, gives rise to the nonuniformity of SiGe resistors, the boron ions should be implanted as many as possible. In addition, the resistance deviation increases as the size of the contact hole that interconnects the SiGe resistor and the metal line decreases. Therefore, the size of the contact hole must be enlarged in order to reduce the resistance deviation.

A Numerical Analysis on the Efficiency of the Resistive Vee Dipole (안테나 수치 해석 모델을 이용한 저항성 V 다이폴의 효율 분석)

  • A method of moments model for the resistive vee dipole has been established. In order to validate the numerical model, an experimental model is built and reflections from the antenna in the feed line are measured. The measured data and the numerical data agree closely validating the numerical model. Based on the numerical model, efficiency of the antenna and the power dissipated in the resistors are analyzed. The results show that the antenna has low radiation efficiency because of the loading resistors and that the resistors near the drive point of the antenna dissipate more power than do the resisters far from the drive point. The results can be used to determine the amount of power that can be accepted by the resistive vee dipole, to determine the power rating of the loading resistors for a desired application, or to estimate the operation range of the antenna.

Evaluation of Early Generations of Crosses for Incorporation of Resistance to Phytophthora Blight into Sweet Pepper (감미종(甘味種)고추에 역병저항성(疫病抵抗性)을 도입(導入)하기 위한 교잡(交雜) 초기세대(初期世代) 검정(檢定))

  • A leading sweet pepper cultivar, Keystone Resistant Giant #3, was crossed with a line with resistance to Phytophthora capsici, PI201232, for incorporation of the resistance and to study the inheritance of resistance to the disease. Seedlings of parents, $F_1$, $F_2$ and backcross populations of a cross between Keystone Resistant Giant #3 and PI201232 were inoculated with zoospore suspension of P. capsici at 36 days after seeding. Most of the $F_1$ seedlings survied the inoculation and this suggested that resistance is dominant over susceptibility. The number of survived plants in $F_2$ population was, however, much less than the killed. All the plants in a backcross to Keystone Resistant Giant #3 were killed. Therefore, the observed numbers did not fit the expected ratio for segregation of one or two dominant alleles as previously reported. The resistance to P. capsici appeared to be inherited in a quantitative mode in evaluation of root rot. Resistant individuals in $F_2$ population were selected and a breeding program for incorporation of the resistance to P. capsici by backcross method is continued.
