  • Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly spreading across various industries. Accordingly, interest in ethical issues arising from the use of AI is also increasing. This is particularly true in the healthcare sector, where AI-related ethical issues are a significant topic due to its focus on health and life. Hence, this issue aims to examine the ethical concerns when using AI tools during research and publication processes. One of the key concerns is the potential for unintended plagiarism when researchers use AI tools for tasks such as translation, citation, and editing. Currently, as AI is not given authorship, the researcher is held accountable for any ethical problems arising from using AI tools. Researchers are advised to specify which AI tools were used and how they were employed in their research papers. As more cases of ethical issues related to AI tools accumulate, it is expected that various guidelines will be developed. Therefore, researchers should stay informed about global consensus and guidelines regarding the use of AI tools in the research and publication process.

Many of Internet users are copying and distributing copyrighted materials freely on the Internet without recognizing that it is unethical and illegal behavior. The rate of Internet piracy is constantly increasing even though the regulation and punishment for piracy behavior are to be strict. However, there is a lack of study about the relationship between the punishment and education for intenet piracy on users' attitude and intention toward piracy on the Internet. The purpose of this study is therefore to find out the effect of the level of punishment for internet piracy on users' attitude and intention. This study also examines the moderating effect of piracy education on the relationship between punishment and piracy intention. The study shows that the punishment is directly associated with the attitude but not associated with the piracy intention. The piracy education has a significant effect on the relationship between punishment and intention. The result of this study could bring up the issue of intellectual property protection on the Intenet and suggest an importance of piracy education to educators, managers and internet users.

  • Information ethics, which is closely related to changes that occur in information technology, had been comprised of one unit ever since the curriculum was revised in 2007 from whence 'informatics' was established as the first course, and has remained so even after the curriculum was revised in 2015. The purpose of this study was to analyze the degree of content knowledge required of informatics teachers who will teach information ethics by distinguishing the subject from general ethics, and to grasp the status of information ethics education at graduate schools of education. In order to achieve this, the information ethics questions of the informatics teacher appointment exam from years 2002 to 2015 were analyzed as well as the curriculums of 32 graduate schools of education. The results of the study revealed that, first, questions related to information ethics were included in 10 exams, since the 2004 exam. Second, questions related to dysfunction were mainly addressed from the beginning of administering the exam but since 2010 many items related to copyrights, information security, and various addictions were added. Third, 11(33%) of the 32 graduate schools of education with informatics teacher training provide information ethics courses. This study is meaningful in that it will help to better understand the changes needed to update the information ethics related questions of the informatics teacher appointment exam, and to present a direction for information ethics education at graduate schools of education.

While Christian colleges employ AI reflecting their values, secular institutions stress ethical usage. This study explores ethical AI use in these settings, aiming to integrate findings into educational practices. Research content and method : Analyzing AI use and ethics guidelines from 50 domestic and international universities, differences between Christian and secular institutions were explored. Data was categorized, conceptualized via open coding, and components were identified through axial coding. The importance of components for Christian colleges' AI guides was assessed based on the initial data and previous research, leading to the development of tailored AI utilization components for Christian universities. Conclusion : Studies revealed secular institutions have six AI guide components, while Christian colleges found seven in both utilization and ethics guides, focusing on truthfulness, responsibility, and diversity. Emphasizing the need for ethical AI use in Christian colleges, the findings advocate developing AI ethics guidelines to aid marginalized groups and establish a new educational paradigm through further research.
