Investigating Occupational Therapy Students' Awareness of Developmental Rehabilitation Services and the Accreditation of Sensory Developmental Rehabilitation Service Providers (작업치료 전공 학생들의 발달재활서비스 및 감각발달재활서비스 제공인력 자격인정에 대한 인식도 조사)

  • Objective : This study sought to explore occupational therapy students' awareness of Developmental Rehabilitation Services (DRSs) and the certification of Sensory Developmental Rehabilitation Service Providers (SDRSPs). Moreover, it also aimed to examine the differences in students' awareness based on general characteristics. The findings were intended to provide a foundation for research on sensory developmental rehabilitation. Methods : An online survey was conducted among 199 occupational therapy students nationwide from October 4 to November 5, 2022. Frequency analysis was used to assess the general characteristics and additional items. Both descriptive statistics and frequency analysis were employed to assess the students' awareness of DRSs and SDRSP certification. Any differences in the students' awareness based on their general characteristics were examined using t-tests and an analysis of variance. Results : The students' awareness of DRSs was moderate (4.50 ± 2.40), while their awareness of SDRSP certification was also moderate (4.22 ± 2.55). The awareness of DRSs varied significantly based on the students' academic year and child-related practice experience. Similarly, the awareness of SDRSP certification differed significantly based on the students' academic program, academic year, recognition by the related department, and child-related practice experience. Conclusion : The occupational therapy students expressed a strong intention to provide DRSs and become certified as SDRSPs. However, their awareness levels were moderate. These findings emphasize the importance of educational efforts and the provision of relevant information about DRSs and SDRSP certification in universities to foster the development of competent SDRSPs.

  • 최근 견관절 질환 치료의 발전에 힘입어 술 후의 유병율을 줄이고, 보다 견고한 조직 복원이 가능해 짐으로써 운동사슬(kinetic chain)의 생리적이고 생 역학적인 복원을 위한 재활치료를 조기에 시행할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 조기재활 치료는 술 전 적절한 준비, 해부학적인 수술적 치료, 술 중 적절한 운동범위의 회복, 술 후 조기 보조 및 능동 보조운동, closed chain-axial loading rehabilitation protocol, 재활치료 중 기능적 관절위치 유지 및 기능회복에 따른 생리적 호전 등의 원칙을 통해 견관절의 여러 질환의 재활치료에 적용할 수 있다. 견관절의 조기 재활치료 시 통증은 근육의 조화운동을 저해하게 되며 관절의 안정적인 운동과 기능을 방해하게 된다. 따라서 시각 측정표를 이용한 4이하의 통증범위에서, 관절의 위치와 팔 및 몸의 운동 그리고 근육의 작용을 잘 관찰하는 가운데 운동을 함으로써 통증으로 인한 근억제 효과를 줄이며, 보다 조기에 안전하게 일상생활 및 운동복귀를 할 수 있다.

  • 수부 봉합 수술 환자, 뇌졸중과 중풍으로 인한 수부 마비 환자, 깁스 후 수부 근육 수축 환자 등 수부 재활 치료가 필요한 환자의 수는 계속해서 증가하고 있지만 그에 비해 재활 치료사의 수는 현저히 부족하다. 또한 수부 재활에 대한 예산 부족으로 환자들의 경제적 부담이 증가하고 있다. 이를 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 모션인식 수부 재활 콘텐츠를 리듬 게임의 형태로 구현하였다. 추후 이 콘텐츠를 통해 수부 재활 치료가 필요한 사람들이 비교적 저렴한 가격으로 지속적인 자가 재활 치료를 진행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Survey About Awareness and Necessity of Community Based Dysphagia Therapy of Community Dwelling Older Adults (지역사회 거주 노인들의 연하장애 인식과 중재 필요성)

  • Objective : This study aimed to investigate the awareness and experience of community-based dysphagia therapy and related education in community-dwelling older adults. Methods : A total of 89 older adults were recruited from a public health center in Gyeonggi-do. Awareness, experience, and related education regarding community-based dysphagia therapy were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results : We analyzed 89 questionnaires. Awareness, treatment experience, and education regarding dysphagia were low; however, the importance and intention to participate were high. Respondents wanted education about proper chewing and safe swallowing, oral health, oral motor exercise, and participation in community-based dysphagia programs in public health centers. The reason for the lack of experience in dysphagia education and therapy is insufficient information and opportunities. The respondents had a good understanding of dysphagia symptoms. Conclusion : Dysphagia therapy maintains swallowing and eating functions as a life-long Activity of Daily Living, and is a very important area in community rehabilitation. Based on the results of this survey, the necessity and importance of community-based dysphagia were identified. It is time to provide correct information and develop a systematic education program for community-based dysphagia therapy. Occupational therapists need to play an active role in improving quality of life by early detection and providing proper intervention.

  • We pursue pleasure through game but also possibly get positive effects. The serious game is a game that achieves a certain goal by using the positive effects of games. This paper describes the serious game and rehabilitation. Also, it describes the types of medical serious games and actual development condition of serious games for rehabilitation, and suggest ways to inspire utilization of the serious games for rehabilitation.

A Phenomenological Study on Developmental Rehabilitation Service Providers' Group Art Therapy Experiences (발달재활서비스 제공 치료사의 집단미술치료 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구)

  • This study aimed to clarify the meanings of developmental rehabilitation service providers' experiences of participation in a group art therapy. The 5 participants in this study were composed of cognitive, language and art therapists working at children developmental rehabilitation center in G city. The group art therapy was provided to participants from October to December, 2018. And the data were collected using in-depth interviews from January to February, 2019. Collected data was analyzed using the phenomenological method by Colaizzi(1978). As a result, four categories were derived: "Purification of emotions", "New discovery", "Encouragement and comfort", and "Close relationship". In conclusion, therapists participating in a group art therapy experienced purification of emotions and newly discovered about themselves and colleagues. And through encouraging and comforting in the group, they became closer. These results may serve as basic data on using art therapy for giving psychological support to therapists who provide developmental rehabilitation service.

  • The necessary rehabilitation training for patients with disability currently does not match the actual amount of training conducted, which requires interest in rehabilitation treatment, continued investment and infrastructure for rehabilitation contents, while the most common forms of rehabilitation treatment comprises of art, music, and play treatments. In this paper, we provide a game-style rehabilitation program including audio and visual elements through motion detection process on the patient and design a digital game rehabilitation program that allows different level of management for various categories of disabled people.

  • 기존의 재활치료기구는 부피가 크고 고비용으로 재활치료센터 운영시간에 맞춰 통원하며 이용해야 하는 불편함이 있었다. 이러한 불편함을 해소하기 위해 제안하는 디지털 서보모터 재활 보조기구는 사용자의 상태에 맞게 전문가와 상의하여 구동수치와 손 안쪽의 와이어의 길이를 수정 한 후 사용하는 것을 원칙으로 사용자가 손가락 끝(지문)에 부착된 감압센서를 누르는 강도와 힘의 유지 유무에 따라 손가락을 굽히거나 펴는 행위를 훈련 할 수 있도록 한 재활치료기구이다. 본 논문의 구현결과는 향후 프로토타입을 보완하여 출력과 운용 방법을 기존과 달리 한다면 다양한 재활기구에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 가상현실을 이용한 의료 기술로서 손 재활 치료 시스템을 설계한다. 손 재활 치료는 직접적인 손의 손상으로 인한 환자뿐만 아니라 뇌손상이나 다른 신경의 손상을 입은 환자 등 다양한 원인에 의하여 발생한 환자들에게 필요하다. 많은 경우에, 손재활 치료를 통하여 운동력의 향상뿐만 아니라 판단력이나 사고력을 높이는 것까지 병행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 손재활 치료를 돕기 위하여 햅틱기술과 게임요소를 포함하는 컨텐트를 가진 시스템을 설계하여 테스트한다.

  • 최근 코로나 19 상황으로 인해 많은 사람들이 모이는 병원 방문을 꺼리거나, 치료비에 부담을 느끼는 근골격계 재활 환자들이 많다. 이러한 환자들을 위해 이 프로젝트에서는 재활 치료 빈도가 높은 어깨와 손목 등 여섯 가지 근골격 부위의 자가 재활 치료를 돕는 기계 학습 기반 웹 페이지을 구현한다. 이 웹 페이지는 각 부위에 대한 재활 치료 자세를 구글 티처블 머신으로 학습 시킨 데이터를 기반으로 환자가 올바른 자세로 운동하는지를 판별해 준다. 이 때, 사용자의 재활 치료 자세는 웹 카메라로부터 캡쳐한다.
