A Study for Storage Reallocation of Multipurpose Reservoir(II) - Conservation Storage Analysis (다목적댐 용량 재할당에 대한 연구(II)- 이수용량 분석)

  • In the past, it was unnecessary to consider the reallocation of reservoir storage because new reservoir construction was relatively not difficult. However, it became necessary since it is so difficult to construct new reservoirs in these days. In this study, the change of the water supply capability is evaluated through conservation storage drawdown frequency analysis, hydropower analysis, reliability, resiliency and vulnerability analyses for Geum River basin. As a result, it is confirmed that water supply capability of Daechung reservoir can be increased by reallocating flood control storage to conservation storage.

Dynamic Slot Re-assignment Scheme for Network Merge in Swarming Drone Networks (군집 드론 네트워크에서 네트워크 결합을 위한 동적 슬롯 재할당 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient dynamic slot re-assignment scheme for swarming drone networks in which networks members merged and split frequently. The leader drone of each network recognizes the slot allocation information of neighbor networks by periodic information exchange among between the drones. Using the information, the leader drone makes a decision how to reallocate the slots between members in case of network merge. The non-competitive method in the proposed scheme can re-assign the slots without any slot collision and shows always superior performance than competitive scheme. The competitive method in the proposed scheme reduces the number of slots that should be re-assigned in case of network merge. The experimental performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme performs better or at least equal to the performance of the competitive scheme in a swarming drone network.

Small-Scale Object Detection Label Reassignment Strategy

  • In this paper, we propose a Label Reassignment Strategy to improve the performance of an object detection algorithm. Our approach involves two stages: an inference stage and an assignment stage. In the inference stage, we perform multi-scale inference with predefined scale sizes on a trained model and re-infer masked images to obtain robust classification results. In the assignment stage, we calculate the IoU between bounding boxes to remove duplicates. We also check box and class occurrence between the detection result and annotation label to re-assign the dominant class type. We trained the YOLOX-L model with the re-annotated dataset to validate our strategy. The model achieved a 3.9% improvement in mAP and 3x better performance on AP_S compared to the model trained with the original dataset. Our results demonstrate that the proposed Label Reassignment Strategy can effectively improve the performance of an object detection model.

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time bandwidth allocation scheme of multiplexed VBR MPEG video sequences over ATM network. In order to real time processing, multiplexed source is estimated by linear-prediction per measurement period. If the result CLR value were not sufficient, we proposed a overallocation method and a reallocation one to guarantee QoS. We used two kinds of sources, one is random multiplexed source made of foot different video sources, the other is the one considered the arrange of I frame in the sequence. With those sources, we analyzed the linear prediction, compared overallocation with reallocation method. As a result, in both schemes, the objected CLR value is achieved, the sufficient value COR under 10% when mp is over 1.8 sec, the utilization is over 0.9. Especially, the COR value of the reallocation scheme is better at the same condition.

  • In this paper, we consider a power re-allocation technique in order to enhance the frequency efficiency of the low performance user in a cell-free multiple input multiple output (MIMO) network. The AP first allocates transmit power to the user to be proportional to the large-scale fading coefficients of the connected users. Then, the AP reduces the power of the users who were allocated power greater than the threshold ratio of total allocated power to be equal to the threshold ratio of the allocated power. Finally, the AP re-allocates the reduced power from the strong channel user to the user who has the worst channel condition, and thus, the frequency efficiency of the low performance user can be enhanced. In the simulation results, we verify the performance of the power re-allocation technique in terms of the spectral efficiency of the low performance user.

  • In order to guarantee the survivability of essential services against attacks based on new methodology, we need a solution to recognize important resources for the services and to adapt the urgent situation properly. In this paper, we present a dynamic resource reallocation scheme which is one of the core technologies for the construction of intrusion tolerant systems. By means of resource reallocation within a host, this scheme enables selected essential services to survive even after the occurrence if a system attack. Experimental result obtained on a test-bed reveals the validity of the proposed scheme for resource reallocation. This scheme may work together with IDS (Intrusion Detection System) to produce more effective responsive mechanisms against attacks.

  • In order to guarantee system survivability against attacks based on new methodology, we need a solution to recognize important resources for essential services and to adapt the urgent situation properly. In this paper, we present a dynamic resource reallocation scheme which is one of the core technologies for the implementation of intrusion tolerant systems. By means of resource reallocation within a node, this scheme enables the essential services to survive even after the occurrence of a system attack. If the settlement does not work within the node, resource reallocation among nodes takes places, thus the essential services are transferred to another prepared server node. Experimental result obtained on a testbed reveals the validity of the proposed scheme for resource reallocation. This scheme may work together with IDS(Intrusion Detection System) to produce effective responsive mechanism against attacks.

  • 무선통신 환경에서 채널 용량이 증가하면 정해진 전송률에 대한 불능 확률(outage probability)이 감소하며, 따라서 통신의 신뢰도가 향상된다. 본 논문에서는 채널 페이딩에 대한 시간 상관성(time correlation)이 있는 환경에서 ARQ 시스템의 합 채널 용량을 향상시키는 전력 할당(power allocation) 기법에 대해 다룬다. 송신기에서 전송이 시작되기 전의 채널 정보를 수신기의 피드백을 통해 알고 있다고 가정하고, ARQ 의 재전송 시점의 채널의 확률분포를 다루었다. 이 분포를 통해 재전송 시점의 채널을 추정하고, ARQ 의 모든 재전송에 대한 합 채널 용량 최대화를 위한 전력 할당 문제를 공식화하였다. 이 문제에 대한 해를 분석적으로 도출하였으며, 모의실험 결과를 통해 제안된 전력 할당 기법으로 얻는 합 채널용량이 재전송 시 동일한 전송전력을 사용한 기존의 기법보다 증가함을 확인한다.
