General information is summarized, that is necessary to introduce a scientific assessment of the human health and exposure issue concerning dioxin and dioxin-like compound. Scientific literatures were reviewed to assess the background exposures to the dioxin-like compounds for normal residents. Epidemiologic studies were also reviewed to assess malignant and nonmalignant sweets of dioxins. In 1997, the International Agency for Research on Cancer classified 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) as a human carcinogen, primarily based on occupational cohort studies. The US Environmental Protection Agency made the same decision in it's Draft Dioxin Reassessment. Epidemiologic evidences point to a generalized excess of all cancers, without any pronounced excess at specific sites. Reported non-cancer effects included a range of conditions affecting most systems. Among them, chloracne, elevation in gamma glutamyl transferase(GGT), and alterations in reproductive hormones are related to TCDO, Other adverse outcomes, such as lipid concentrations, diabetes, circulatory and heart diseases, immunologic disorders, neurobehavioral effects, and developmental outcomes require further study before their respective relationships to TCDD can be more definitively assessed.
Hunter value ($L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$) is a rapid and convenience method for compare with different skin color, but not suitable to compare quality with various grape cultivars. Color Index for Red Grapes (CIRG) is one of a simply convert method for grape skin color as numeric data, and many previously result showed that high correlation between CIRG index and various quality factors of grape. In this experiment, we measured CIRG index, total soluble solids (TSS), titratable acidity (TA), and total anthocyanin content on the grapes (Campbell Early, Heukbosuk, Kyoho) from the varaison to harvest. As a result, CIRG index and anthocyanin contents have an exponential correlation; r-square is each 0.8595 in the 'Campbell Early' and 0.8500 in 'Heukbosuk'. And TSS and CIRG index have a positive r-square, at the Campbell Early is 0.7758 and Heukbosuk is 0.7253. Also TA and CIRG index have a positive r-square, at the Campbell Early is 0.7279 and Heukbosuk is 0.6630. These results were shown that CIRG index is a reliable indicator for a none-destructive evaluation of the grape quality.
The study of air defense against North Korean tactical ballistic missiles (TBM) should consider the rapidly changing battlefield environment. The study for target re-designation for intercept missiles enables effective operation of friendly defensive assets as well as responses to dynamic battlefield. The researches that have been conducted so far do not represent real-time dynamic battlefield situation because the hit probability for the TBM, which plays an important role in the decision making process, is fixed. Therefore, this study proposes a target re-designation algorithm that makes decision based on hit probability which considers real-time field environment. The proposed method contains a trajectory prediction model that predicts the expected trajectory of the TBM from the current position and velocity information by using random forest and moving window. The predicted hit probability can be calculated through the trajectory prediction model and the simulator of the intercept missile, and the calculated hit probability becomes the decision criterion of the target re-designation algorithm for the missile. In the experiment, the validity of the methodology used in the TBM trajectory prediction model was verified and the superiority of using the hit probability through the proposed model in the target re-designation decision making process was validated.

In this paper, we propose a performance enhancement method of the target tracking system for communication signal using the monopulse and the ${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter to keep the connection of the communication system between the airplane and the ground. We suggest the minimum distance measurement method for tracking error angle of the monopulse signal instead of the generally used method of MR(Monopulse Ratio) curve, and the ${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter with variable gain for enhancement of the tracking accuracy and the probability of re-tracking the monopulse signal under the disconnection of link. We show the performance enhancement of the proposed method of monopulse system using the measured MR Curve results of the prototype system. And also, the comparison of simulation results between the ${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter with variable gain and the ${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter with fixed gain shows the performance enhancement of the proposed ${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter. Using the proposed methods, we expect the enhanced performance of the existing target tracking system for communication signal only by changing the algorithm without hardware changes.

A variable optical attenuator with a bending-sensitive fiber (BSF) that can be used in optical networks is developed. The proposed BSF consists of inner core, outer core, center dip and cladding. The proposed BSF is also very sensitive to mechanical perturbation, such as bending and pressure, making the light propagating in the BSF easily controlled and attenuated. The fabricated fiber-type variable optical attenuator using the proposed BSF (VOAFB) consisted of the BSF in a rectangular rubber ring with a fixed bend radius (BR) in a steady state. The variable optical attenuator using the proposed BSF (VOAFB) was able to attenuate the optical power by more than about -38㏈ with the gradient -88.4[㏈$.$$cm^{-1}$ /] at (1540∼1560nm) based m adjusting the mechanical pressure applied to the upper surface of the rectangular rubber ring with the bent BSF. According to the experimental results when using the proposed VOAFB, the optical power was easily controlled by adjusting mechanical pressure and produced an insertion loss of 0.68㏈, polarization loss of 0.5㏈, and return loss of less than -60㏈.
A total of 225 ISA Brown layers, 63-wk-old, were used in a 5-wk feeding trial to measure the effect of dietary canthaxanthin(0, 50, 100, 200, and 300mg/kg feed) on its accumulation in various body parts and the egg yolk. There were three replications per treatment and 15 birds per replication. The redness(a$\^$*/) and yellowness(b$\^$*/) of wing and thigh skin significantly(P<0.05) increased when canthaxanthin was fed at 2200 and 250mg/kg feed, respectively. However, the color of breast skin was not significantly affected by the canthaxanthin supplementation. Skin lightness(L$\^$*/) was not influenced by the dietary canthaxanthin. The dietary canthaxanthin supplementation did not significantly affect the redness or the yellowness of breast and thigh muscles. However, feeding canthaxanthin at 300mg/kg, compared to the control(0mg/kg feed), significantly(P<0.05) decreased the lightness of wing and breast muscles. Feeding of canthaxanthin for 1-3d also significantly increased the color of egg yolks. In conclusion, canthaxanthin can be used to improve the color of skin and egg yolks, but it should be used cautiously because too intense egg yolk redness could be rejected by consumers.

The purpose of this study was to verify the validity and reliability of the computerized general neurocognitive test using intuitive evaluation techniques to reflect the needs of the elderly and to validate neurocognitive function appropriately. The subjects were 100 elderly people who were over 60 healthy people. To evaluate the comprehensive neurocognitive function of the elderly, Computerized Neuro-cognitive Function Test (CNT, cybermedic. Co., Korea) developed by CyberMedic was used. The test consist of attention test, memory test and the problem solving ability test. As a result of correlation analysis of CNT test items, it was possible to confirm the characteristics of measuring single domain of attention and memory test. The problem-solving ability test also showed a high level of significant correlation, although the purpose of measurement was different, but a comprehensive cognitive function test for problem solving was possible. In the reliability analysis, the half reliability and internal consistency of test - retest were significantly higher. As a result of the above study, we conclude that the comprehensive neurocognitive test items constituted in this study have achieved reproducibility and effectiveness.
The Y-maze is widely used to test working memory in behavioral science. For this purpose, spontaneous alternation behavior is monitored, and an increased percentage of spontaneous alternation is regarded as enhanced working memory. However, in some cases, the percentage of spontaneous alternation does not accurately reflect the extent of working memory in rodents. To complement the short-comings of this measure, we developed a new method to evaluate working memory on the Y-maze. This is done by defining all spontaneous alternation cases and Pi, the probability that the rodent achieved spontaneous alternation from each alternation case. After all Pi-values acquired in each animal are summarized, the result is considered as entropy. To validate the new analytical method, mice were raised under either control or an enriched environmental condition for 10 weeks, and working memory behavior on the Y-maze was monitored. The results showed that the new analytical method successfully reproduced significance. In addition, the new method turned out to be more accurate than measurement of the percentage of spontaneous alternation, meaning that, to get higher entropy, alternation should be recorded in all arms and directions. Together, these data indicate that the new analytical method is a useful supplement to the method that compares the percentage of spontaneous alternation, and thus is a good tool with which to evaluate working memory in rodents.

In this paper, we fine-tuned KoAlpaca, a large-scale Korean language model, and implemented a blog text generation system utilizing it. Blogs on social media platforms are widely used as a marketing tool for businesses. We constructed training data of positive reviews through emotion analysis and refinement of collected sponsored blog texts and applied QLoRA for the lightweight training of KoAlpaca. QLoRA is a fine-tuning approach that significantly reduces the memory usage required for training, with experiments in an environment with a parameter size of 12.8B showing up to a 58.8% decrease in memory usage compared to LoRA. To evaluate the generative performance of the fine-tuned model, texts generated from 100 inputs not included in the training data produced on average more than twice the number of words compared to the pre-trained model, with texts of positive sentiment also appearing more than twice as often. In a survey conducted for qualitative evaluation of generative performance, responses indicated that the fine-tuned model's generated outputs were more relevant to the given topics on average 77.5% of the time. This demonstrates that the positive review generation language model for sponsored content in this paper can enhance the efficiency of time management for content creation and ensure consistent marketing effects. However, to reduce the generation of content that deviates from the category of positive reviews due to elements of the pre-trained model, we plan to proceed with fine-tuning using the augmentation of training data.
The applicability of a well-type autotrophic sulfur-oxidizing reactive barrier (L $\times$ W $\times$ D = $3m\;{\times}\;4\;m\;{\times}\;2\;m$) as a long-term treatment option for nitrate removal in groundwater was evaluated. Pilot-scale (L $\times$ W $\times$ D = $8m\;{\times}\;4\;m\;{\times}\;2\;m$) flow-tank experiments were conducted to examine remedial efficacy of the well-type reactive barrier. A total of 80 kg sulfur granules as an electron donor and Thiobacillus denitrificans as an active bacterial species were prepared. Thiobacillus denitrificans was successfully colonized on the surface of the sulfur granules and the microflora transformed nitrate with removal efficiency of ~12% (0.07 mM) for 11 days, ~24% (1.3 mM) for 18 days, ~45% (2.4 mM) for 32 days, and ~52% (2.8 mM) for 60 days. Sulfur granules attached to Thiobacillus denitrificans were used to construct the well-type reactive barrier comprising three discrete barriers installed at 1-m interval downstream. Average initial nitrate concentrations were 181 mg/L for the first 28 days and 281 mg/L for the next 14 days. For the 181 mg/L (2.9 mM) plume, nitrate concentrations decreased by ~2% (0.06 mM), ~9% (0.27 mM), and ~15% (0.44 mM) after $1^{st}$, $2^{nd}$, and $3^{rd}$ barriers, respectively. For the 281 mg/L (4.5 mM) plume, nitrate concentrations decreased by ~1% (0.02 mM), ~6% (0.27 mM), and ~8% (0.37 mM) after $1^{st}$, $2^{nd}$, and $3^{rd}$ barriers, respectively. Nitrate plume was flowed through the flow-tank for 49 days by supplying $1.24\;m^3/d$ of nitrate solution. During nitrate treatment, flow velocity (0.44 m/d), pH (6.7 to 8.3), and DO (0.9~2.8 mg/L) showed little variations. Incomplete destruction of nitrate plume was attributed to the lack of retention time, rarely transverse dispersion, and inhibiting the activity of denitrification enzymes caused by relatively high DO concentrations. For field applications, it should be considered increments of retention time, modification of well placements, and intrinsic DO concentration.
