Design of A Wavelet Interpolation Filter for Elimination of Muscle Artifact in the Stress ECG (스트레스 심전도의 근잡음 제거를 위한 Wavelet Interpolation Filter의 설계)

  • 스트레스 심전계에서 발생되는 근잡음을 제거하기 위하여 wavelet interpolation filter(WIF)를 설계하였다. WIF는 크게 웨이브렛 변환부와 보간법 적용부로 구성되어 있다. 웨이브렛 변환부는 Haar 웨이브렛을 이용하였으며 심전도 저주파 영역과 고주파 영역으로 분할하는 과정이다. 보간법 적용부에서는 분할되어진 신호 중 A3을 선택하여 신호의 재생 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 보간법을 적용하였다. WIF의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 신호대 잡음비, 재생신호 자승오차 및 표준편차의 파라미터를 이용하였다. 본 실험에서는 MIT/BIH 부정맥 데이터베이스, European ST-T 데이터베이스 및 삼각파형을 이용하여 성능 파라미터를 측정하였다. 결과적으로 WIF는 성능 파라미터에서 기존에 많이 사용되고 있는 평균값 필터, 중간값 필터 및 hard thresholding 방법에 비해 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

Implementation of Real-time Transaural Filter for 3D Sound Reproduction (입체 음향 재생을 위한 실시간 트랜스오럴 필터 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 스테레오 스피커를 통해 입체 음향을 재생할 때 발생하는 크로스 토크(corss talk)를 제거하기 위한 트랜스오럴 필터를 실시간으로 구현하였다. 실시간 처리를 위하여 일반적인 트랜스오럴 필터를 재구성하였으며, 범용 DSP(Digital Signal Processor) 칩인 TMS320C40을 사용하였다. 메인 프로그램은 C-언어를 이용하여 작성하였으며, 빠른 연산을 필요로 하는 컨벌루션 함수는 어셈블러 언어를 이용하여 최적화 하였다. 구현된 트랜스오럴 필터의 평가를 위해서 더미 헤드를 이용하여 녹음된 binaural 신호와 DSP를 이용하여 실시간으로 합성된 binaural 신호를 스테레오 스피커를 통해 재생하여 청취 실험하였다. 청취 실험한 결과 머리 밖에서 음상 정위가 이루어지고 공간감과 거리감은 헤드폰으로 청취할 때 보다 우수하게 나타났다.

Improvement in Image Rejection of Multi-Port Junction-based Direct Receivers (다중 접합 기반 수신기의 영상 제거비 평가 및 향상 방법)

  • This paper presents an iterative single-frequency continuous-wave signal-based I/Q regeneration method for improving image-rejection performance of multi-port junction-based direct receivers (MPDRs). This paper analyzes I/Q regeneration in MPDRs as I/Q mismatch compensation for direct conversion receivers. Based on the analysis, this paper evaluates the accuracy of I/Q regeneration in terms of the image-rejection ratio (IRR). The proposed method improves the IRR performance more than 20 dB compared to existing I/Q regeneration methods. Simulation results show that MPDRs using the proposed method can achieve an IRR of more than 70 dB, and that the bit error rate performances are almost the same as those of conventional coherent demodulators, even in fading channels.

  • The problem that occurred in the design/fabrication/testing of the wideband transmitting power amplifier for an embedded active SONAR (Sound Navigation and Ranging) system operating underwater was analyzed and the solution of the problem was proposed in this paper. Wideband acoustic SONAR systems had been developed in order to improve the underwater detection performance. The underwater acoustic transmission system had been also developed to achieve the wideband SONAR system. In this paper, the wideband acoustic transmission signal was generated using a 2 Level sawtooth type Class D PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) which was not complicated to implement. When the sonar signals having two or more frequencies were simultaneously generated, parasitic frequencies were added to the original signals by integer multiples of the frequency difference of the original signal. To cope with this problem, we proposed a way to remove the parasitic frequency from the source signal through modeling and simulation of the implemented power amplifier and PWM control hardware using MATLAB and Simulink.

  • 본 연구에 따른 영상 신호의 처리 방법은, 하나의 화면을 중요도에 따라 복수의 영역들로 분할하는 단계 그리고 분할된 화면들 각각에 대응하는 영상 신호를 서로 다른 프레임을 (Frame-rate)로 디코딩하는 단계를 포함한다. 상술한 영상 신호의 처리 방법에 따라 시야에서 민감한 화면만을 인코딩한 최대 화질로 재생하고 덜 민감한 화면 영역은 상대적으로 낮은 화질로 재생하여 이득을 제공할 수 있다.

  • The clock recovery module of gap filler for satellite DMB is proposed. Proposed module sustains the output frequency of 10 MHz whether the received signal from the satellite is unstable or cut off within 0.5 sec. The advantages of this module is without frequency tuning at regular interval and low material cost. This module is fabricated by using CPLD as clock recovery IC and new type of loop filter for satisfying the fast lock time and long hold over time simultaneously. The measured performance of the fabricated module has a holdover time of 11 sec at frequency stability less than 0.01 ppm, and phase noise of -113 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz offset.

  • Underwater transient signals are complex, variable and nonlinear, resulting in a difficulty in accurate modeling with reference patterns. We analyze one type of underwater transient signals, in the form of whale sounds, using the MFCC(Mel-Frequency Cepstral Constant) and synthesize them from the MFCC and the weighted $L_2$-norm minimization techniques. The whales in this experiments are Humpback whales, Right whales, Blue whales, Gray whales, Minke whales. The 20th MFCC coefficients are extracted from the original signals using the MATLAB programming and reconstructed using the weighted $L_2$-norm minimization with the inverse MFCC. Finally, we could find the optimum weighted factor, 3~4 for reconstruction of whale sounds.

Development of the PC Based Color Fish Finder (퍼스널 컴퓨터를 이용한 칼라 어군탐지기의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes a personal computer(PC) based color fish finder to improve some problem of the commercial one. The commercial fish finder has no function of the echo data logging and replaying. The authors developed two types of the PC based color fish finder. One is a master type composed of a PC, a digital input-output board, and analog to digital converting (A/D) board and an ultrasonic transceiver unit, the other is a slave type composed of a PC and an A/D board. To test the performances of the master type experiments were carried out in air and in a water tank. It is found that the designed master type fish finder displays very well an eight-colored echogram by one dot resolution to the left side of the PC monitor. Also, the depth of echo signal was corresponds very well to the range from the transducer to a target. The sampling interval of echo signal is about 0.1m and the time of A/D conversion is 30 $\mu$sec. On the other hand, to test the performances of the slave type a raw data of echo signals from a data logger was supplied directly or via RF transceivers to the slave type one. From this experiment, it is confirmed the slave type is useful to replay the echo signal from the data logger or a telesounder.

  • 애널로그 신호인 음성신호를 디지틀값으로 변환하여 컴퓨터의 mass storage device에 저장하거나 또는 저장된 디지틀 음성 데이터를 애널로그 신호로 재생하는 기술은 디지틀 음성신호처리의 가장 중요한 토대를 마련해 준다. 본고에서는 음성변경시스팀과 같은 저장형 통신시스팀의 구현에 있어서 반드시 구비되어야 할 기술인 음성신호의 실시간 디스크 저장문제를 NOVA 4/X 미니컴퓨터에서 해결한 것을 간단히 기술하였다.

  • When finite length image signal is decomposed into M-band synthesized using M-band orthogonal wavelet transform, the boundary signal of image are not reconstructed perfectly. for boundary signals to be reconstructed perfectly, different type filter bank or technique is applied to them when the dimension of analysed is proposed. It can be designed using the singular value decomposition of boundary perfect reconstruction matrix which is obtained from paraunitary matrix which is obtained from paraunitary matrix. And it is also discussed to design the boundary filter bank for improving the coding performance when it is applied to subband coder. The proposed boundary filter bank shows 7% gains in PSNR compared with reflected method.
