Enabling reuse driven software development : lessons learned from embedded software industry practice (재사용 기반의 소프트웨어 개발 체계 구축 : 내장형 소프트웨어 영역의 기업 사례)

  • This paper presents industry feedback and a case of improvement trial on enabling reuse driven software development which is one of several activities to improve software quality and productivity in a company which develops software that are embedded into consumer electronic products. Several case studies will be introduced that are related to software reuse strategies and practices to show how to establish environment for reuse basis in a company, how to apply it to development team and project and how to improve that through trials and errors. To enable reuse-oriented software development in a huge company, integrated and focused approach is needed among technical, management and environmental point of view. We tried to solve that problem in technical field with reuse method, in management filed with reuse metric and in environment field with reuse repository. The characteristics of our software development environment could be summarized as below. The first, embedded software which would not independent to hardware devices and the second, it is very huge company which develops extremely various products by many different organization with different domain characteristics and the third, development lead time is extremely short and many variation models are stems from basic models. We expect that our study would give contribution to industry struggling to solve similar problem for presenting our experience and could be a reference model for enabling software reuse in a real world practically.

Type and Role of Cognition Strategies in Spatial Tasks: Focusing on Visual Discrimination and Visual Memory Abilities (공간 과제에서 인지 전략의 유형과 역할: 시각적 변별과 기억 능력을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to assess the spatial cognition strategies and roles taken by students in the process of solving spatial tasks. For the analysis, this study developed two spatial tests based on the mental rotation test, which were taken by 63 students in their final year in elementary schools. The results of this study showed that in terms of the method of approaching the tasks, students took the comprehensive approach and the partial approach. When solving the tasks, the students were shown to use the imagery thinking or analytic thinking method. In terms of perspective, the students rotated the object or change their perspectives. A comparison of the methods used by the students revealed that when approaching the tasks, the group of students who chose the partial approach had higher scores. In terms of solving the tasks the analytic thinking method, and in terms of perspective, changing perspectives were shown to be more effective. Such effective methods were used more frequently in discrimination tasks than in recognition tasks, and in more complicated items, than in less complicated items. In conclusion, the results of this study suggested that the partial, analytic approach and the change of perspectives are useful strategies in solving tasks which require high cognitive effort.

A Theoretical Study of Service Recovery Strategies (서비스실패 회복을 위한 복합적 보상 믹스 연구 : 재서비스와 보상적 할인을 중심으로)

  • Designing cost-effective service recovery strategies mix has been recognized one of important issues by both service researchers and practitioners. In spite of the rising interest in them, there has been scarce studies on them. In this paper, we try to find cost-effective service recovery strategies mix via game-theoretic modeling. Especially, we focus on the possible incentives such as voucher type reward and service re-performance which have different cost structure. We investigated three questions about the topics as follows:(1) Should the service firm use the possible incentive scheme such as voucher and service re-performance for service recovery?, (2) How much voucher and service re-performance is adequate for service recovery under diverse service failure severity level?, (3) How much voucher and service re-performance is adequate for service recovery under diverse threshold level to make the customer repurchase? The results are as follows:(1) The use of both voucher and service re-performance for service recovery results in greater surplus for the service firm. (2) The higher gets the service failure severity level, the higher total incentives are required in the equilibrium. As service failure severity level gets higher, higher level of discount might be more useful to the service firm. However, service re-performance should be cut down above some critical level of service failure severity in the equilibrium. (3) The higher gets the threshold level to make the customer repurchase, the higher incentives are required in the equilibrium, and the higher portion of voucher incentive is required relative to that of service re-performance in the equilibrium.

Persuasive Communication Strategy of Showhost in TV Homeshopping (TV홈쇼핑 쇼호스트의 구매설득커뮤니케이션 전략)

  • This study analyzed the persuasive marketing communication strategy which applied by showhost for TV homeshopping sales. Specifically, the current study focuses on the comparative analysis of tangible goods and intangible goods sales. Four sales homeshopping TV programs were selected for analysis: two overseas travel package products, one climbing clothes product and one produce of walnut. The method of rhetorical content analysis was conducted to analyze the strategy of persuasive communication. The results shows that , , were commonly used for both tangible and intangible products sales. But , , and were heavily utilized only for intangible products sales. The result of this study can contribute to provide theoretical background for future advanced research, although it has a limitation of only analyzing four sales programs.

  • Due to the advent of presumer and digital production of moving picture, a lot of UCC has been generated by editing the previous moving pictures in various way. It causes a lot of problems on copyright, duplication, and content. In reorganizing the contents, it is necessary to increase productivity and reusability by managing production pipeline systematically through the standardization of moving picture content. For this purpose, we try to develop the moving picture content management system that can manage all kinds of information on the production pipeline, based on SCORM of e-learning by considering production, publication and re-editing. Using the meta-data of content object, user and producer can easily search and reuse the contents. Hence, they can choose the contents object according to their preference and reproduce their own creative UCC by reorganizing and packaging the selected objects. The management of copyright by the unit of scene would solve the problem of copyright. The sequencing technique of SCORM as an interactive storytelling method makes it possible to produce individual contents by user's preference.

국내 개발 항공기의 복합재로 적용 사례와 기술 전망

  • 필자가 참여했던 쌍발복합재사업, 쌍발복합재항공기사업, SB427 민수용헬기사업, T-50 초음속고등훈력기 사업을 통해 복합재료의 항공기 적용사례를 고찰하면서, 쌍발복합재항공기는 실험용항공기(Experimental Aircraft)이지만 국내 최초의 전복합재항공기(All-composites Aircraft)로서 항공기 구조물이 순전히 복합재료만을 이용하여 설계 및 제작이 가능하다는 것을 보여주었고, 복합재료를 적용 시 어떠한 이점이 있는지를 보여준 예가 되고 있다. SB427 민수용헬기사업은 헬리콥터에서 로터 블레이드와 동체 등 기체구조물 대분에 왜 복합재료를 사용해야 효과적인 지를 잘 보여주고 있다. SB427 개발 사업을 통해 얻을 수 있는 또 다른 점은 민수용 항공기의 경우 구축된 복합재료 인증체계에 따라 복합재구조물을 개발해야 되고 그래야만 마케팅에서 신뢰를 얻을 수 있다는 것이다. T-50 항공기는 국내에서 최초로 개발된 초음속기로 미익 부문에 복합재료가 응용되었다. 양산 항공기의 주구조물에 복합재료가 쓰인 예는 T-50이 첫 번째 인데 T-50에서 얻어진 복합재 적용기술은 앞으로 개발될 고급 군용기와 민수용기에 널리 활용될 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는, 국내 개발 항공기에서의 복합재료 적용이라는 특정 주제를 중심으로 개발 이력과 기술적 조망을 통하여, 정부, 연구소, 업체 간의 유기적이고 체계적인 전략이 필요하다고 사료되며, 이러한 전략을 바탕으로 효율적인 항공 산업을 선점해야 할 것이다.

  • 모바일 융합 서비스를 개발하기 위해 단순 컴포넌트의 조립(integration)이나 합병(merge)과 융합 서비스를 식별하는 기존의 개념만으로 부족하다. 비즈니스 서비스 모델에 적합한 비즈니스 기능을 가진 융합 서비스를 지원하는 응용 시스템 개발을 위해 비즈니스 서비스 모델에서부터 서비스 모델로의 매핑과 다양한 자산(assets)정보가 필요하며 이들을 설계 단계에서 구현 단계를 지원하는 적절한 프레임 워크가 절대적으로 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 집약적인 신기술을 도입하여 시장 전략과 융합 모바일 도메인에 적합한 소프트웨어 개발 도구 및 환경 지원을 위한 모바일 융합 서비스 기반 공통 프레임워크(SOCF:Service Oriented Common Frameworks)를 연구하며 실생활의 모바일 서비스가 제공자와 고객 간에 재사용 단위의 추상화 수준을 단순 컴포넌트를 넘어 서비스 제공과 사용사이(provide/consume)의 서비스 수준까지 확대하여 다양한 서비스 자원들을 통합하고 재사용하여 서비스 융합 시스템 개발을 지원하는 프레임워크 설계 및 구현에 관한 내용을 서술한다.

The Influences of SMEs' Utilization of Export Assistance Programs and Firm Capabilities on Export Performances : Firm Type as a Moderator (중소기업의 정부 수출지원 프로그램 활용도와 기업역량이 수출성과에 미치는 영향 : 기업유형을 조절변수로)

  • The present study examined the moderating influences of firm type(B2B, B2C) on the relationships between SMEs' utilization of government export assistance programs, firm capabilities(marketing & technology capabilities) and export performances(financial and strategic performances). The results of regression analyses on 247 B2B and 137 B2C cases showed that the positive influence of utilization of export assistance programs on financial performance was greater for B2B than for B2C SMEs. This construct, however, had no influence on strategic performance for neither B2B nor B2C cases. Further, both marketing and technology capabilities have positive influences on each of financial and strategic performances. Marketing capability, however, had a greater influence on financial performance for B2C than for B2B SMEs. Technology capability had a greater influence on financial performance for B2B than for B2C SMEs. Implications, limitations, and future studies were also discussed.

  • XML기반의 B2B 애플리케이션 및 프레임워크의 수가 점점 늘어나고, 그에 따른 데이터베이스 처리도 많은 발전을 해오고 있다. 따라서 활용 가능한 XML문서의 재처리 과정에 대한 인식도 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 기반 기업에서 독자적으로 관리해 온 사용자 정보를 유사 동맹 업체간의 전략적 가치로서 재사용할 수 있는 사용자 정보호환시스템을 설계 하였다.

  • SCM은 시장의 변화를 신속하고 파악하고 IT 기술을 활용해 정보를 공유함으로써 변화에 보다 적극적으로 대처해 전체 Supply Chain의 이익을 높이고자 하는 전략적 사고라고 할 수 있다. SCM에서 파트너 선정은 장기적이고 전략적인 관점에서 이루어져야 하는 지식 집약적인 업무 Process이다. 본 연구는 SCM에서 파트너 선정의 절차를 Task Modeling을 통해 재사용 가능한 Knowledge-base를 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 첫 번째로 전문가의 문제 해결 과정을 분석해 문제 해결 과정을 대상으로 한 Problem-Solving Ontology(Task Ontology)를 도출하고, 두 번째로 문제 해결 과정에 필요한 Domain Knowledge를 추출해 파트너 선정 문제 해결에 필요한 Domain Ontology를 개발한다. 끝으로 Problem-Solving Ontology와 Domain Ontology를 Protege를 통해 구현하고자 한다.
