  • This paper is designed to address the extent of impacts that religious musicals may have upon on audience in contrast to the mainstream musicals by exploring choice attributes of Christian musicals, which are based on the stories of the Bible. Through empirical analysis, the paper shows that there is positive correlation between choice attributes and viewing satisfaction, while explaining choice attributes' impact on behavioral intention of audience, typically in word-or-mouth intention. It further shows that choice attribute of Christian musicals have direct positive impacts on both of behavioral and word-of-mouth intentions, which revisit intention is positively related to its reputation and the performance place. This study's significance lies in the use of Christian musicals to explore the complex interactions between choice attributes and audiences' behavioral intentions afterwards. However, it will also further benefit if future research include further mediating, control variable, including non-Christians.

  • The purpose of this study is to draw the factors that makes the visitors decide to visit the art-museum and verifying the influence of visit determinants on recommendation intention and revisit intention. Visitors to Gwangju Museum of Art and Gwangju Biennale in Gwang-ju city were chosen for this study. Data were collected for 30 days from September 15 to October 14, 2018. A total of 350 visitors were attended in this research and finally 315 samples were used for the empirical analysis. The result of this study showed that 4 determinant factors(Escape from the ordinary, self-development, novelty, culture experience) of visiting art-museum were identified which all influences on behavioral intention(recommendation intention, revisit intention). Particularly, 'novelity' is the major factor influences on recommendation intention followed by 'escape from the ordinary' factor. Moreover, 'escape from the ordinary' factor influences the most on revisit intention among all determinants of visiting art-museum.

  • This study aims to conduct an empirical analysis on the impact of service quality (performance work, price, physical environment) on customer satisfaction, trust and intention to re-attend ballet performances. Another focus of the research is to examine the structural effect of satisfaction and trust on customer's intention to re-attend. This study surveyed 240 adults (Americans) who have physically attended ballet performances from 2019 to 2020. Applying the structural equation modeling analysis using the software SmartPLS, this study investigates 240 valid responses obtained from a global research institute in a mid-August 2020 survey. The findings of the analysis are as follows. (1) Performance work is positively correlated with customer satisfaction, while price and physical environment do not affect customer satisfaction. (2) Performance work is positively correlated with customer trust. However, price and physical environment haven't been observed to affect customer trust. (3) Customer satisfaction is positively correlated with customer trust. (4) Performance work, price and physical environment do not affect customer's intention to re-attend ballet performances. (5) Customer satisfaction is positively correlated with customer intention to re-attend performances. (6) Customer trust is positively correlated with the intention to re-attend performances.

  • This paper investigated Korean popular entertainment (K-entertainment, hereafter) tourism using theory of intention-behavior. Dividing the sample of international visitors to Seoul into the groups of "inclined actors", "inclined abstainers", and "disinclined abstainers," we examined the factors affecting such a division. The results showed that between the inclined actors and the inclined abstainers, there was no significant difference in the years of exposure to K-entertainment contents or the frequency of going to K-entertainment performance in the past. In contrast, the inclined actors were found to have a greater level of knowledge, ability, and cooperation compared to the inclined abstainers. In addition, we found that the K-entertainment performance in Korea was perceived as a substitute, rather than a complement to the performance held elsewhere in the world. Our findings suggest that interests in K-entertainment alone are not sufficient to drive the international visitors' intention to the action of attending K-entertainment performance during their visit to Korea. To this end, this study implies that it is necessary to design attractive tourism packages that include K-entertainment performance.

  • This study aimed to understand the value pursued when consuming performances for classical music performance audiences, to identify the difference in influence by type, and to expand into the base of academic research focusing on audiences who are consumers in classical music performances, which was the existing supplier-centered. Also, this study tried to verify the effect of consumption value on flow and satisfaction. and we aimed to prove whether consumption value leads to re-spectating intention through structural relationship. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on the audience who watched classical music performances within one year by applying consumption value theory, and the analysis was conducted using smartPLS 3.0. As a result, functional value and emotional value had an effect on flow. The second one is that functional value had a positive effect on satisfaction. The third fact is that social value had a negative effect. Overall, the structural relationship between flow, satisfaction, and re-spectating intention had a strong effect on each other. Implications of this study are that the market characteristics and current status of classical music performances were examined, and that an effective marketing strategy to increase the re-spectator rate was sought by finding out the factors of audience's consumption value that affect viewing satisfaction.

  • This study was conducted to examine how marine sport event visitors' satisfactions and city image effect on revisit and recommendation. To do this, we analyzed the socio-statistical characteristics of spectators, and examined the influence relationship among city image, satisfaction, revisit and recommendation intention. The results were as follows: First, 'family and relatives' as the companions of spectators of yacht competition were the most, and the route of acquiring the competition information was 'the other', in other words, that most of the respondents learned directly in the field, and 'car' as transportation means was the most. In addition, "local tourism" as watching purposes was the most and 'the day' as the period of stay was the most. Second, the image and satisfaction of spectators of yacht competition showed significant influence on revisit and recommendation intention. Specifically, program satisfaction and program agent satisfaction, which are a sub-factors of satisfaction, have a significant positive effect on revisit and recommendation intention. Through these research results, we were able to confirm inadequacy(lack of attractiveness, connections and public relations) of this event, and see what parts should be improved in order to be born again a sustainable event.

  • This study investigates the degree of intention-behavior gap in the entertainment tourism. Using the sample of international visitors to South Korea, we identified the inclined actor (who are interested in the entertainment performance and actually went to the entertainment performance) and inclined abstainer (who are interested in the entertainment performance but did not go to the entertainment performance). The results of logistic regression analysis show that the sample was more accurately classified when attitude and knowledge on K-entertainment were included as explanatory variables. More findings and implications are provided.

  • Entering the twentieth century, the development and change of artworks have had influence on spectators. When spectators appreciate artworks such as paintings and sculptures, they usually show passive, contemplative attitude towards artworks. Through upheavals like the two World Wars, the change of artworks requires the participation of spectators. Active change of spectators' roles have a lot to do with the changes of artworks that spectators enjoy. With the invention of computer and development of media in the mid-twentieth century, spectators reached the position of active users. Also contemporary spectators attempt to change from users to producers. Contemporary spectators' role as producers can be examined especially in the works of $\ll$ZENetic Computer$\gg$ by Naoko Tosa. This research explored the new role of spectators to clarify this trend.

  • Two isolation methods using the open plate and air sampler were applied to examine microbial distribution as an environmental factor for conservation of cultural properties in the War Memorial in Korea. The numbers of fungi were the abundant in the air of entrance and inside of the exhibition room where visitors were crowded, compared with inside of repository rooms. Fungal and bacterial distributions in the exhibition room during exhibition period were higher than during nonexhibition period, These results are due to the inflow of air current carrying microoganisms to the exibition rooms from outside with visitors. Fungi isolated from the War Memorial were identified as 19 species and one thermophilic fungus, Neurospora crassa. The majority of the isolated fungi are seemed to cause damage to cellulose materials in the Memorial.
