  • This study aimed to determine the current state and characteristics of simulation-based operating processes in nursing education based on the Jeffries theoretical framework in South Korea by taking an integrated look at study findings in order to provide a scientific basis for future simulation-based operating processes. We searched eight databases, including the Korea Education and Research Information Service, National Library, Korean Studies Information Service System, National Digital Science Library, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, KOREAMED, and Korean Medical Database, using terms "simulation" and "nursing" as keywords in November 2017 in the Korean language. Sixteen studies were identified, reviewed, and appraised in this integrative review. The literature was categorized into these themes: general study characteristics, operation method, teaching and learning methods, subject characteristics, outcome variables, and theoretical framework. The simulation processes in nursing education in South Korea that were analyzed in this study did not fully reflect the main concepts suggested in the NLN Jeffries simulation framework. Thus, simulation program developers need to consider and incorporate a variety of strategies, based on the identification of essential components, to improve simulation effectiveness.

  • This study aims to make sustainable and future-oriented eco-archipelagic city through developed trend of analysis physical design method and correlation analysis between design method and development purpose for archipelagic development. First, EU cases had variety developed thema and identity such as science city, leisure and resort city, commercial city, ecology city in environmental theory aspects but, Korean cases have plenty of problems such as focused development of leisure and resort city for fund profit, imperfected native people's developed knowledge learning and understanding and figure out that they will not make to the sustainable development for islands of archipelagic. Second, as a in-depth analysis, the application of methods and developed trend were figured out by correlation analysis between physical design methods and development purpose through result(physical design methods) of case studies. As a result, contents and design methods from development purposes have to develop by multilateral aspects and also, native resident will have to require infrastructure expansion about service contents for smooth communication and sustainable information sharing.

  • Recently, non-standard techniques of web like Active-X caused not only user inconvenience but also barriers to the business of Internet. The government recognized that the serious environmental situation of using Internet is needed to be improved. Especially, HTML5 convergence technology is meant to be a specific platform over the devices, users, and systems. It also means web standards to support more creative business service model and emerging market. In this paper, we performed a survey on Web standards compliance and web development professional level of domestic web developers. In addition, we present the basic direction of government policy of software and software-positive human resources policy, that is based on the analysis of the survey results. Our study will be able to contribute to construct policies to support digital convergence industry and to strengthen technical assistance and expertise to build training programs for the spread of global Web standards (HTML5).

  • The purpose of this study is to design and develop a alternative material recommendation system using automatic classification, based on user preference. Details of usage data by users from DREAM was analysed in order to develop the way of a method on selecting proper alternative material, and then the data by user preference were allocated under each category of 10 KDC categories. The keyword, selected from the title of users' usage data from a certain period of time, were divided into 10 subject categories and ranked by the order of frequency of appearance. Books including high frequency of the keyword in title can be selected as a preferred target for producing alternative materials. Lastly, a dynamic linkage for sharing usage data among National Library for the Disabled and other libraries is proposed to produce more proper alternative materials, based on user preference.

  • The technology of Software Defined Radio (SDR) is a possible solution to interwork flexibly between various wireless transport protocols. Ubiquitous network, like u-health service network, includes sensor devices or nodes which do not facilitate all the same transport protocols to access network. As such this may be in such unreachable situations as poverty of all required AP (Access Point)’s, faults or contention in a path of particular protocol communication, etc. This paper presents research results of modeling and simulation to analyze transport performance of multi-protocol ubiquitous network which includes SDR-based interwork nodes and congestion-controlled AP’s. Focusing mainly on dynamics of overall transport performance rather than protocol execution procedures, this paper employs the Zeigler’s DEVS (Discrete Event Systems Specification) methodology and DEVSim++simulation environment to experiment.

  • Nowadays, the rapid progress and worldwide use of smart-media(SNS) has resulted in coming of the smart media convergence age. In practice, however, the effectiveness of smart media convergence society is limited by the difficulties of using it, which include accessibility, waiting for loading, clutter, old information, privacy risks, expensive communication, etc. The conquest of these difficulties must be policy target of broadcasting and telecommunication for high quality of communication life. From this perspective, this paper proposes a new policy of broadcasting and telecommunication based on the dynamic quality of life for the smart media convergence society. This smart convergence policy will not promote only the development and production of smart media contents but also its stable supply and it will secure the accessibility and privacy. In conclusion, this paper reveals that the components of quality of life are important elements of broadcasting and communication policies which will eventually lead to the popular use of smart media and enhance its quality.

  • The research and development of the unmanned vehicle is being carried out actively in domestic and foreign countries. The research is being carried out to provide various services so that the weakness of system such as conventional 2D-based navigation systems can be supplemented and the driving can be safer. This paper suggests the method that enables real-time video processing in more efficient way by realizing the location detection and signal recognition technique of traffic signals in video. In order to overcome the limit of conventional methods that have a difficulty in analyzing the signal as it is sensitive to brightness change, the proposed method realizes the program that grasps the depth data in front of the vehicle using video processing, analyzes the signal by detecting traffic signal and estimates color components of traffic signal in front and the distance between traffic signal and the vehicle.

  • The latest hardware and software techniques are combined to give safe walking guidance and convenient service of realtime walking assistance system for visually impaired person. This system consists of obstacle detection and perception, place recognition, and sign recognition for pedestrian can safely walking to arrive at their destination. In this paper, we exploit the sign object detection system in subway station for sign recognition that one of the important factors of walking assistance system. This paper suggest the adaptive feature map that can be robustly extract the sign object region from complexed environment with light and noise. And recognize a sign using fast zernike moment features which is invariant under translation, rotation and scale of object during walking. We considered three types of signs as arrow, restroom, and exit number and perform the training and recognizing steps through adaboost classifier. The experimental results prove that our method can be suitable and stable for real-time system through yields on the average 87.16% stable detection rate and 20 frame/sec of operation time for three types of signs in 5000 images of sign database.
